I am up listening to the chirping of baby birds. We had a nest full over our back deck, but they have already flown away. This morning we discovered while standing in the laundry room that we must have a nest in the attic, too!
sandy - it sounds like you have been super busy!

My mom got home yesterday! SHe has been with my grandma in Arkansas.

Sarah will be home for the summer the day before Mother's Day!

No word from the VA yet, but I am not holding my breath. I know U have another option, so it looks like I will be changing jobs this summer.

HOORAY FOR FRIDAY!!!!!! ​

Stephanie is not going to school today. I had to pick her up yesterday from school because of a bad stomachache, and she even started running a small fever last night. I told her last night about not going to school today, and she agreed that would be a good idea. Than this morning I went to cover her up, and she was already awake. I reminded her she wasn't going to school, and she said she knew, but her stomach still really hurt. I don't know what to think about this stomachache I guess only time will tell


Well, I gotta run and take a shower
As soon as the girls wake up I need to run to the store and let the painters in - the last coat of paint is being done today!!!!

Karen - Unfortunately she did throw up and have a bit of the runs last night. She said she feels better today - so we'll se what today brings

I am sorry Steph was sick! It is the time of year for lots of tummy viruses!

I did not get the job with the VA. I think I can handle to "no", but they said there may be another position soon. Now i have to decide do I go ahead & commit to the home health company or hold out for the VA? UGH!!! I hate big decisions!

So......last night I'm minding my own business watching tv, and out of the corner of my eye I see this thing crawling on my blanket . I quickly brushed it away, and I see this decent sized spider crawl away into the crack of the couch - freaked me out!!!! I demanded that Kevin come kill it, and he just rolled his eyes and said, "give me something to kill it with" I gave him a HUGE wad of tissue (of which he only used a couple) and he grabbed it, squished it, and threw it in the toilet I then had to go look in the toilet to make sure he really got it so I could relax. He did, but I still couldn't relax so I went to bed (it was 10pm anyway). So...I learned something about myself last night - I'M A WIMP!!!!!!



Karen - Stephanie is much better, thanks for asking!!! She's looking forward to playing outside today, because I told her I wanted her to still rest a little yesterday.

Kathy - Where are you??? We miss you!!!!!

I need to share a funny story with you all..................


At 4:50pm I get my keys to take Steph to dance class, and I realize that my purse wasn't there. So I calmly looked in my car, and it wasn't there. So I took my phone, my keys, and Stephanie and proceeded to dance class.

After I dropped Stephanie at dance, I went to see my mom at her meeting to see if she had my purse (I was with her earlier in the day, and in her car). She said she didn't have it, but we looked in her car again to make sure.

More nervous now, I went back home, and called the flower store I went to earlier in the day. I was praying that they would have it, and they didn't. Now I was starting to get very nervous .

I asked Katie, "Did you play with mommy's purse?" She said, "no mommy!!"

Kevin and I looked around the house some more, and I asked Katie again, "Are you sure you didn't play with mommy's purse?" She said again, "no mommy!!"

So I go downstairs starting to panic, and I hear Kevin upstairs, "Where did you find mommy's purse?" I ran upstairs, and here's Katie standing there, holding my purse.

I said to her real happy, because I didn't want her to think I was mad, "Where did you find mommy's purse?" She just stared at me.

Kevin said cheery, "If you tell us the truth, I will give you a special something." She still just stood there.

I said again very very very happy, "Honey, please tell me where you found the purse." She finally said, "I hid it over there." and pointed to under the dining room table. I explained to her how scared I was to lose my purse, and she can't hide things (she's been in a real hiding phase). She promised that she wouldn't hide it again (but she's 3 and I'm sure she's already forgotten this conversation )

So I asked her a little later, "Why didn't you tell mommy you hid the purse?" She said, "I find it funny, because you were calling the place" What a stinker !!!! I told Kevin, not only did she hide my purse, she was laughing about it too - I"m going to have to watch here!!!!!



So that's my funny story - something I will happily tell her children someday

You know a sense of humor is a sign of intelligence! She put alot of thought into that!! I am glad you have your purse back!

I have sooooooo many things to do today - my list keeps growing and growing. But that's okay - I won't be bored, that's for sure

Things are progressing at the store. The security system goes in today, and then the foyer tiles go in on Friday, and then the carpet on Monday. I'm not sure when the ceiling tiles are going up, but they have to go up or get our by Monday, because they are now sitting in the middle of the floor .

My flowers look so nice in front of the house. I didn't buy any flats of flowers, because I haven't decided when I'm planting those. Part of me is thinking I'll plant on Saturday and buy the flats on Friday


Karen - I've never heard of that before, and I hope it's right, because she's a pretty funny kid - she's keep me laughing all the time

Emily went to her new gym last night. It was a great class. If it stays like this she should meet all her goals by the end of summer.

James has a game tonite - we are playing a very tough team, so keep your fingers crossed!
