TGIF EVERYONE!!!!​

Yesterday went smooth - which I was really glad about
My bosses gave me a going away necklace, which is very pretty.
I left my key when I left, and I walked out the door for the last time.
When I left I thought to myself - I started working there in March 1988 and I started dating Kevin in July 1988 - I have been working there longer than Kevin and I have been together - that's a long time!!!!

Then when I came home Kevin, the girls, and I went out to dinner at a place called Northwoods. It really reminds me of the Wilderness Lodge, and the food is very yummy. We were going to get dessert at DQ on the way home, but the line was massive at the drive-through, and I was full anyway, so we'll get that another time

Thanks to everyone that wished me well on my last day - I appreciate it!!

Now I must go and get Steph up for school

We have to pack up for cheer competition in Destin this weekend. Emily hurt her ankle at school, but the xrays were all negative. Her coach gave her a brace to wear. I think she will be fine to compete this weekend.

Well I am up early today for the drive to Destin. It should be about 2-3 hours. Sarah & I went to a crawfish boil with some of my friends from work last night, so I am a little tired! The coffee is brewing!!

Kevin bought a new/used car, and it's about 2 1/2 hours away - so we are going to go get it this morning. He is so excited!!!! The car is a red Mustang convertible that was a Pace Car at the Indy 500.

Karen - Be careful driving to Destin. I hope Emily's ankle gets better, and doesn't hurt to much during her competition Also, good luck to her for her competition Keep us posted on how her squad does.
**I've never had crawfish - what does it taste like? (and don't say chicken )

We arrived safely in Destin this morning. we were able to check in at 9am which was great. They did well today, a couple of small mistakes - but the coach changed the routine and then only practiced it twice, so it's to be expected. They combine both day's scores so we may be able to make it up.
Crawfish are alot like shrimp - they boil them with corn and potatoes and lots of SPICES! they look like little lobsters.
sandy - congrats on the new car!!! How exciting!

I will check in tomorrow! (Sarah brought her laptop so I don't have to miss the whole weekend!)

Everything went very smooth yesterday with getting the car
The drive was long, but it was worth it - Kevin is beaming with happiness So now we are a 3 car family

**Are crawfish alot of work to eat ? I have such a problem with eating shelled fish like crab or lobster. By the time I fumble with getting the shell off everything is cold - it's very frustrating!!!

Crawfish are alot of work - this is why I always get other people to peel mine!! : ) I am crawfish lazy! Shrimp are much easier. Some people suck the juice out of the heads - eeewwwww! Not me!


It is cold out this morning. I hope it will warm up today! We compete at 11am then we will come back and hopefully it will be warm enough to play on the beach and swim in the pool. We have to go back for awards & to watch seniors compete. We aren't checking out until tomorrow, so we can just relax andtake it easy.

My kids have spring break next week. I could only get Monday & Tuesday off so it will beback to work on Wednesday. We have another competition next weekend, but I have to work. That will be her last competition for awhile. We are taking a year off from allstars since she made the school team. I am going to miss this!! I will not miss the glittertastic makeup that reminds me of Kiss!!

Our girls took 3rd place! we are very happy with that! There were squads from Ohio, Virginia, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, etc... It was pretty big. We are heading home tomorrow! Have a great day!

This is my first Monday not having to work
I have a ton of stuff to do today - so no rest for me


Yesterday was a beautiful day around here
We were outside all day
It always amazes me how gross our yard is when spring arrives.
I spent the entire afternoon picking up branches that our oriental weeping willow tree dropped throughout the winter - what a pain!!! I hate that tree!!! I would love to get rid of it, but the previous owner of this house said he planted it to soak up the water in that corner of the yard - so I think we need to keep it, unless we want standing water



Well, I must wake up Sleeping Beauty for school

Good morning!
We slept in today and now are headed to the mall. Emily is having her make up lesson. James wants to but heelies with his biggest loser money. After that we are headed to the office for check ups. Emily is getting her 2nd HPV shot. I am also starting the Hepatitis A series for both and get them varicella boosters. They are really happy! No, they are great! I will give them their shots & I use the shot blocker, so it's all good!

Ok - so here is my good news! I got a call yesterday and I have an interview with the VA on Thursday!!!! Wish me luck & say some prayers! I really wnat this job! Not just because I get to start planning my next trip, but becasue of the awesome benefits!

I am so tired this morning!!!!
Katie had a case of insomnia last night and was up from 1am to 4am, which means I was up from 1am to 4am
God Bless her though - she stayed in her bed and listened to her music the whole time. She would softly call to me sometimes saying she had to go potty, or her music was over, or just plain saying, "I can't sleep "
All I know is, I sure hope she sleeps tonight


Today is another very busy day for me
I have many errands to run this morning, and than my family is coming over at 4:30pm for dinner - it's my mom's 60th birthday

slo - Maybe ya'll can both grab a nap today! The kids did well with shots - they request that I give them. I use the shot blocker, so it isn't too bad. I practiced last night for my interview today. I am really nervous. This would be such a good thing for my family - I keep putting this pressure on myself. I need to listen to my mom & just give it to God! Why is it our mom's are always right? : )
