Good Morning Everyone! Hardly slept at all last night... tonight's agenda, watch american idol, go to bed. Is it bad I'm already planning on going to bed and I just got to work? It's going to be a long day!

DisneymoonJess ~ We flew AirTran last year when we went and didn't have a baggage fee. I guess it must be new... we liked them much better than Southwest but that's just my opinion. I flew Southwest to Vegas a couple years ago and felt like a sardine the entire way!

Jewel has several items on sale today only .. eggs, cheese, veggies, sara lee turkey breasts etc.. so i have been to Jewel twice already.. Geoff came home for lunch and made himself a big Turkey sandwhich with cheese nd tomotes and lettuce.. YUM! Today is his 18th b'day.. where did the time go?? Wasn't he a little one not long ago??

Somebody jumped or fell out a window on the 40th floor of my building this morning. It happened about 10minutes after I got here this morning. I don't know any details but apparently they closed off Wacker Dr. That explains why there were several people who came in late this morning... Sad...

Morning guys! Well, I'm waiting for "the call".....have talked to DH a couple of times this morning already but no one had heard anything yet. Headquarters are in Calif though so they're 2hrs behind us. Ugh, I hate the waiting........

disneygal - I was thinking of you this morning when I heard on the news that there was "police activity" on Wacker Dr. by the Opera house. They didn't say what happened though, that is so sad....

Evening all. Worked every day this week so far. Nope, no packing done for the big folks. I also still need to gather all the chargable electronics and get them charged. I bought DD Bolt for her birthday and will give it early so they have a new movie that they haven't seen to watch on the plane. No cleaning done either. It is going to be a long 2 days getting it all together. I am usually not this disorganized for vacation. Which means, something will most definately be forgotten.
To all the sickies....Get well soon.
To all the vacationers.....Have a great and safe trip/or enjoy the time off at home with family.

And to everyone else, hope all is well in your lives and that you have a great upcoming week. I may try to check in while we are gone, but not sure how much spare time we will have. I have to say, the CA weather forecasts are not making me happy.

Hi guys! Thanks for all the support. After a very LONG day of waiting DH has survived the axe! He still hadn't heard anything by around 3p so he sent his boss an email (she is based out of corporate in Calif). People on the east coast and west coast had already been notified but no one he new in his office had gotten "the call". There will be two meetings tomorrow, one at 10a with the VP of his department and then another at 1p with the big cheese. Those two meetings should answer the rest of the questions like what's going to happen now.

What an exhausting day, poor DH was completely beat when he got home from the stress. It will be interesting to see what comes from these two meetings tomorrow.

Dgal- I hope you got some sleep. Seems yesterday's events would have been a bit unsettling! The building where my xh works has an open atrium inside and somebody jumped there once! Scary that people feel so hopeless thatthey resort to that. Sad.
gef- Good luck on the interview and happy bday to ds. My ds turned 9 last Fri. I can't believe how fast time goes. In 9 more years, he'll be as old as your ds!
Tig- Have a great trip. Remember, bad weather in Disney is still better than bad weather here! PAck the ponchos and carry on!
slo- Time is going so fast. I'd like the next 2 months to fly by, too...come on WDW trip! I love watching my ticker!
mac- I finally put my dog decal on the other day! My car is so Dis-ified now!

So, this is why you should not play hooky...I stayed home from school last week oneday because the dcs were on spring break. Well, now I am sick! I have a terrible cold and get to walk ll over in the rain today! Grr!
I am excited for the weekend, though. My sister (Dis freak and DIs board member, too) and her husband are coming down for the weekend. Her dh has never been to our new house (so I must clean maniacally!). Also, the kids will be at their dad's so we can go out for a nice adult dinner.
Anyway, try to stay dry. Don't know if you're forecasted for rain but we are-afternoon tstorms!

Hi gang! Going to leave work early today to catch ds volleyball game. Sh...don't telly anyone!

Poor dh has a busy, busy day tomorrow getting all the last minute odds and ends done for vacation. But that's OK cause then we will be ready to leave!

Congrats! I know all about that. We recently had layoffs, and we had to sweat it for about two weeks before they told the people who it would be. That was awful! We had had some a few months earlier, but we didn't know about it until the people had already been notified. That way is much better.
