Rain, rain go away! I can't believe it. *ANOTHER* morning to where I wake up and it is raining out. Sigh. I know the rain doesn't necessarily stay all day but it would be nice to wake up to a day without hearing the rain.

DD had her 3 month back check-up yesterday and it went great. She is officially with very few restrictions now! :woohoo: No roller coasters this summer, no football or gymnastics. Other than that, she is free to do whatever she wants. She is beyond thrilled and I am too.

Now she just has to get packed and ready for camp.

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: wow, you'd think we live in Seattle with all this rain we're getting:laughing: I don't mind too much though, rain is good for the grass and plants and environment in general!:thumbsup2

Becky ~ Glad DD's check up went well!:goodvibes

ID ~ hopefully the rain will let up a bit for you to get the outdoor stuff done. when do you leave?

Geffric ~ :wave2: hope the training is going well.

everyone else ~ :wave2: have a wonderful day!

Morning everyone! Just a quick "pop in" as not much is going on.

Oh, one new thing, we are no longer going to the concert on Saturday. A book launch that was originally planned for Kevin's birthday (and we were taking him as a gift) got moved up to this weekend. We thought it over, and knowing how important it is to Kevin, I am taking him to that instead. It is in Flint, MI so no way of doing both.

Hi guys! Well, well another rainy day. I have Hostas to get in the ground and Mother Nature sure isn't cooperating, lol.

slo - hope your garage sale doesn't suffer because of the weather.

Becky - I hear ya on the weather! Maybe I'll see the sun in WDW.

disneygal - we leave tomorrow morning! Still need to finish up packing but pretty much everything else is done - yeah!

piglet - sorry you have to miss the concert, safe travels to MI.

geffric - hope Geoff has a great summer at camp!

:wave2: to everyone else! Hope you are staying dry!!

Well, have to run DD7 to volleyball camp. If I don't get back on here I'll see you all on the 21st. :yay:

Hi everyone been crazy busy at work and trying to get ready for the weekend!

Slo ~ Crossing my fingers that the weather get better for you tomorrow! Hope the company is going well too! You are Wonderwoman!:worship:

ID ~ Have a great time at WDW! I'm so excited for you!:cool1:

Becky ~ Great news about your DD! She'll be on roller coasters in no time and just think what they'll have waiting for her!:)

Piglet ~ Have fun in MI! Are you staying over on Saturday?

DG ~ I thought of Seattle this AM! Sheesh, I moved from NY to Chicago not to WA! Looks like we will get a break this weekend though!

OK so tonight we are off to Mary Poppins this eveing! :yay: So excited! Mike, myself, Meghan and her Mom are going. We purchased the tix at Meg's school auction fundraiser. Then of course we have the b-day party on Saturday and NOW we have a Cubs game on Sunday! CB (my pet name for the X-wife. I'll explain some day. . . ) is not coming to the Cubs game but there is gong to be alot of "togetherness" this weekend. I'm a little nervous but I have desided that what is best for Meg is that I keep my focus on her and the girls. Nothing I do will be good enough for CB so I will concentrate on doing "good enough" for Meg. I never expected that we would be spending our 6 month wedding anniversary with the x-wife and a bunch of 11 year olds at a slumber party!

I think the anxiety is about this weekend is hitting so please excuse the ramble. . .

OK back to work! Have a great day everyone!!:dance3:

Hello?! Is this June? Anyone?:rolleyes1:confused3
ID and Paint have great trips.
Slo good luck with the garage sale.
Hi to all. Doing more lurking these days than posting, but wanted to at least let you know we were still alive here.
Later.

I'll be there too! It's American Girl Doll Day - just an outfit, not a doll. ;)

Yep that's why we're leaving for Wrigley early, 10 / 10:30 AM so we can get in line. Mike is a bit nuts when it comes to being in line and we are sitting in the bleachers. We will more then likely go to Goose Island Wrigleyville afterwards if you want to stop by. :) Families are welcome!

Mary Poppins was GREAT! Had a wonderful time! We had great news today that Meg recived a wonderful report card! We are so happy for her!:thumbsup2 I am soooo tired as I didn't go to sleep until 1:30 AM because I was so keyed up from the show! :yay:

Well have a great weekend everyone! Let's hope the weather holds out!

E

Well It finally stopped raining here today.. rained last night and Eric came home at 6 am soaked from being out all night at rally for life.. he slept most of the day.. Geoff and I had an Eagle Court of honor and then went to Walmart for sunglasses and water shoes. We also looked at wet suits for him... we were supposed to go to Outback tonight for his last night home but had ribs instead..they were good but next time we will make the ribs..

tomorrow we are driving Geoff to Camp Napowan in Wild Rose WI :scared1:and then we won't see him until 8/9.:guilty:

geffric -- :grouphug: Drive safely.

I have to get up super early and drive DD down to Urbana tomorrow for camp. Hers is only a week though. I'm thinking I should go to bed soon, except I'll probably sit there awake as it's much earlier than I normally go to bed. KWIM?

I can pretty much bet it will rain. It tends to always rain for DD being at camp.

I was bummed as the boys swimming lessons were cancelled today & it was supposed to be the first day. They were looking forward to it. We can't make lessons next week, so we will be all kinds of confused when we do our our first lesson.

Last week so LONG!!! :faint:
But fun at the same time!!! :teeth:

While getting ready for the garage sale, we also hung out with our neighbors alot (they did it with us) and had some great laughs. The kids were able to play alot, and it was fun!!!

Thursday was a bit of a nightmare with all the rain  I slept only 2 hours that night because my mind was raining on what to do because of the rain - we had so much stuff - especially baby/kids clothes. We did have several tents that we put up, but everything and everyone still got so wet. It was not a fun day!!!!:sad2: There was still a great turnout with people, and we made alot of money:woohoo: Then that night my relatives came over, and my mom bought pizza. It was hard to entertain when we were all so dead tired (the mom's too, who helped all day).

Friday was a nicer day, which was nice, because we could spread things out more. We still had a decent amount of people come, but not as much as Thursday, and we made 1/2 of what we made on Thursday. Then that night the relatives came over again and we had a cookout and a fire outside - we also invited our neighbors. It was alot of fun and we were outside until 11pm.

Saturday was a yucky weather day again, which was unfortunate. We were selling everything for 1/2 off, and didn't make as much as Friday, but we still did well :thumbsup2 Then that night we had another cookout at the neighbors, but we didn't stay out as late - we were tired. The mom's (me and my neighbor) took the kids in by 9pm, and the guys stayed out until 11pm. It was another fun night!!!!

Sunday I caught up with doing some things in the house, and then I went outside and worked. I got the pool deck all swept off and the furniture all set up. Then I started pulling weeds - buckets and buckets of weeds:eek: The girls play area is like someone seeded it with weeds - it's awful!!!!!:scared1:I pulled 4 huge buckets of weeds, and that wasn't even all of it. I found Poison Ivy growing through the fence, and I'm not happy about that at all :sad2: It scares me to think what is on the other side of the fence:eek: I need to send Kevin to check it out. Then I raked tons of mulch, in their area to even it out. I wasn't planning on doing it, but one thing led to another and I just did it. Now today I am very very sore!!!! But I feel good about getting it done :thumbsup2

Well, I need to go get ready for work.
I hope all is well with everyone!!!
Have a great day!!!

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3:
Slo ~ glad the garage sale went well:thumbsup2 glad the rain didn't keep the people away.

Kim and Esbrick ~ hope you had fun at the game. It was a beautiful day! GO CUBBIES!

SLO - glad the garage sales went well and you made lots of cash..

Going out to enjoy the day.. be back later

Afternoon. Beautiful day today. Kids have running around to do as usual. DS has baseball and DD had Drama Camp and tonight ballet.
We had a horribly busy weekend at work. I think I could nap right now! But instead I am headed into the dreaded cave of the kids' rooms to clean out closets/drawers and try to figure out what fits and what goes.
Slo, glad to hear you had a good sale and a nice weekend with friends.
esbrick and Kim, sounds like you had a good day for the ball game. Get any good AG outfits?
geffric hope you are enjoying your day. And not missing your child too much.
Hope Paint and ID are having the time of their lives-vacation over yet?
Well, guess I better be off to the Land of the Lost Closets!

Hi Everyone! What a beautiful day! I would much rather be sitting on my driveway reading some ridiculous magazine drinking some ice tea instead of at my office! I also feel like my house has been hit by a hurricane! OK well 8 11 and 12 year old girls so same difference right?:lmao:

Slo ~ You were so on my mind on Friday getting ready for your sale! Goodness it musta been something. Glad you made some moula though and hope you'll be able to use it for something fun.:)

Kim ~ Great game on Sunday! It was a beautiful day and the Cubbies won:cool1: Bout time! We wound up leaving after at the bottom of the 6th because we were sitting in the bleachers and the girls were SOOO tired from being in the sun and the night before! Thank goodness that the red line and the Skokie Swift are running for the summer! That saved ALOT of time!

The weekend went very well! We were a bit nervous Saturday am but once the girls started to arrive the weather got better and they hung out in the basement with CB (X-wife) while we got ready to leave. We went to Color Me Mine and everyone made fun of my "Lack of" creativity:rolleyes:. They were right so I just laughed! Whatta ya gonna do. Then CB had the bright idea to get Meghan's ears pierced . We stood around here and cheered her on and all was well. Got one piddley comment that took me by surprise but she back peddled and got out of it:upsidedow. Whatever. . .

Went to Church, of course saw every kid who wasn't invited to the party. CB said we were going to hell and personally I felt like I was already in purgatory so I prayed for strength and closed my eyes. You can't control everything!;) Went home, had a bbq, girls ran around in the park then came back and ate and played some more. They did make overs and joined us outside where we had a fire going and roasted smores! After CB left one of the little girls came up to me and hugged me and told me I was doing a great job and she admired me. Another one told me I was cool so I'll call that a win!:yay:

I am looking forward to a quiet week. Mike is playing golf at the Ron Santo Golf outing today so I am going to meet him later. It's usually a great time!:)

That's all for now! I'm hoping this weather holds out a little longer. :)

Have a great day!

I wonder how Bunchie is doing. Hope all is well.

Hello from sunny Las Vegas!! :wave2:

DH finally had time this evening to set up the computer and internet.

It's only a mere 91 degrees here today! :sunny: It's not too bad though as there is no humidity. I kept thinking how back in the Chicago area 91 would feel kinda sticky!

The move was mostly uneventful itself. Before the move was another story.
The moving truck was not big enough!! And this was after having a profession come out and tell us how much space our things would take up!The movers dropped our washer and broke part of it!! We needed to get another truck and a car transporter to haul my car with. So that set us back a day. And in turn I lost out on our original hotel ressies I made through Priceline. We only experienced a small amount of rain. Mostly in the mountains of New Mexico. And of course the highway was under construction at the time so that was a little tense driving moment. Stopped in New Mexico at a Indian/Route 66 souvie store. That was a hoot!!! :rotfl:
Still recovering from being on the road. :faint:

Our house is in a really nice area in the northwest section of Las Vegas. DH's mom is only about 15-20 minutes away to the east and we are at a slightly higher elevation then her. There is so many stores and food joints just down the street. It's crazy to have so much so close. I'm used to living in the boonies and nothing being really close by.

The kids seem to be adjusting fine so far. They like driving around to see what's in our immediate area. And of course going to grandma and grandpa's house.

You can see the mountains from our house (they're very close to us) and DS's school is across the street from the sub division. I'll have to take pics of the mountains and let you all see what a nice view we have.

House is nice and big enough. Too bad they don't have basements out here though. I have no clue if we'll ever organize everything from the garage and basement at our old house into the new garage and still be able to park in it!!!
People who lived here before however must have never cleaned!!! UGH!!! Even though cleaning people were brought in the house still needs to be cleaned. That's mostly what we've been doing for the past 4 days. Carpet cleaners are coming out again on Saturday to do the rugs again and to do the ceramic tile, which is all of downstairs (very typical for out west).

I'm taking DH's mom to her doctor appts this week. One of which is her heart doctor, who I am wanting to see myself. I visited my regular doctor the week we moved and she told me that my heart is beating irregularly. Which I can tell myself. She thinks I should get another heart ablation done.
And I agree with her.

Well, I should go for now. Hope I didn't ramble on too long for you all.
I'll talk with you all soon!!! :flower3:

Hi all - just a quick driveby before I go to my Leads Group :car:

esbrick - I'm glad Megans party went well, and that you and CB survived being with each other - that had to be hard!!!!

:cheer2:BUNCHKIN:cheer2: - so glad to see you!!!! I've been thinking about you so much!!!!! I'm glad the move went partially okay, and that you like your new place. What's most important is that you made it there safely!!!! Are all the places you mentioned in walking distance from your house? That's great to have everything so close!!! How close are you from the Las Vegas strip? I've never been to Vegas, and someday I want to go.
**Here's some PD for you to start feeling better:wizard::wizard::wizard:Please keep us posted on how you are doing, and hopefully now that you are there, you can relax a little. I know you have unpacking to do, and that can be stressful, but hopefully it's less stressful than the packing and preparing to leave. Take care of yourself!!!!

To everyone else - I read your posts, but I gotta just say "HI" :wave2: for now.

Well, I gotta go and get ready to leave in a 1/2 hour
Have a good day!!!

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: So I asked what my sister was doing for dad for fathers day and she's like oh, we are going to come over and bbq, i'm like... swweeeeeeeeet. Then she said something about next sunday and i went, 'wait what? father's day is THIS sunday???? i totally thought i had another week' so now i have to figure out what and when i'm going to get my dad's father's day gift!

Tigg ~ hope your adventures in the Land of Lost Closets went well!

Esbrick ~ glad the weekend with Meg's mom went alright.

BUNCHKIN!!!!! ~ glad you made it to Las Vegas alright. PD that you start feeling better and are able to get everything unpacked and organized stress free :wizard: glad to hear from you!
