My usual Drinking Around The World (Epcot) has been thrown a curve. I'll be there during the Food and Wine Festival. I understand additional beers will be available at the kiosks. I've also heard rumor that there is an American Craft Beer tent. Can it be true?

Does this mean instead of the usual dozen beers, there will be ? 30? I'm not sure I can handle that. What am I gonna do?

(FYI- Before some Ned Flanders out there replys with a just say no, or all things in moderation, those are not options.)

I've been to the festival for the past 5 years. I remember seeing a few unique beers at some of the booths.

Sam Adams will have a tent and give talks and samples throughout each day. Check the guide for times and show up about 15 minutes early. It is a fun event. They bring in different speakers so it is often worthwhile to attend more than once. Try their seasonal beer. Their light is not bad either.

Make sure to try the South African beers. They are slightly effervescent and great in hot weather. My husband loves both Tusker and Castle. You can find them at Mara at AKL as well. His other favorites are Ichiban Premium (Japan) and Ringnes (Norway).

The Big River Grill at the Boardwalk has a nice 5 beer sampler.

Enjoy!

Yes it is QUITE a PROBLEM

The Solution: Stay for a week and keep doing it till you get it right!

Seriously, it is quite an adventure! One day you enter World Showcase toward Great Britain and the next towards France. This way you will be able to remember a little about all of it. The African outpost area is going to be fuzzy no matter which way you go because it is about the half way point.

What a way to spend a week.

We are going Oct31 to Nov10! I just hope that will be enough practice time.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :jester:

Well Joe, I hate to be the "Ned Flanders" but I just don't see how someone can feel right about drinking in WDW. This is a place for kids and innocence. I feel that you are ruining the atmosphere that everyone travels to WDW to experience.

I'M KIDDING!!!!!!!! I just thought that I would rib you because I thought that your Ned Flanders comment was funny. We are planning to do the "Drinking Around the World" thing in January but we will not have the added Food and Wine Festival "confusion." Have a great time....I know we will. And I promise not to be too obnoxious in the last couple countries of our tour!

if you will be in orlando during the weekend of nov. 8 and 9 universal studios is having a beer festval at city walk. not sure on the details. should be at their website.

:p :p funny posts!

We always drink wine (and a couple gin and tonics) during the Food and Wine Festival, maybe we'll do the beer thing this year.

I've read lots of good reviews about these too.

We stay at an Epcot resort when we are there for the festival.
Thankfully, I'm able to get the Teachers discount at the Swan/Dolphin.
It's great to be able to walk back to your resort..no driving or waiting for Disney transportation.
We LOVE the Food and Wine Festival!
Have fun!

Yes the food & beer festival makes DATW harder. You need to make more choices... or just there is the option to just drink more beer.

Here's to the Ned Flanderses of the world, the less they drink the more we can!

What I want to know is where can I get good micro brews in the WDW area, six packs or cases.
