Heather. This will be our first time on Autotrain. We did get the family sleeper as I dont think I would get any sleep in couch.

I'm fortunate as I can sleep almost anywhere. My dw might have more of a problem we will see. I have AAA so I got 10 percent off, but its still a fair chuck of change, but for me, its cutting two days of driving off, as I wont drive more than 500 miles in a day, so when I factor in what lodging costs would be, its closer to airfare down. The best thing is I have my own car with me. Yahooo

Aug sun and heat would need something to cool all of us down.
As it is, I suspect without trying based on the size of this group, there will be some there before the cruise.

I will be at Ft W this aug for a week, and we are debating if we will visit for a day or two before the cruise next year. We have 8 years we didnt go to make up for

Mary Rose: It is a shame some employers feel that way now a days.
My dw and I made the decsion that she would be a stay at home mom when our dd was born. We are very happy with our choice. Its was hard money wise, but the payback we got with our dd, we wouldnt have it any other way.

Just know you did the right thing and those employers who thought otherwise, lost out on someone who managed the hardest job there is, being a mom. Congrates on the new job.

Well the snow is still falling, the bills are paid, and my tivo I go thanks to ebay, is setting up. all in all another good day.

Heather--flight leaves at 4:45pm on 3/22.

Ed--they were two "LARGE" helpings. I will probably have more for dinner on Tuesday night, hey, it's Tuesday now, no I better get back to bed and not think of Lasagna this time of night.

I fell asleep at 10:30pm and just woke up at 12:30am. We got several more inches of snow after 10:30 as now my sidewalk and street are completely snow covered, where they weren't when I went to bed. Maybe I'm having a nightmare, and the snow will all be gone when I really wake up in the morning. Maybe it will also be sunny and 70 degrees here in New Jersey in the morning as well.

So far my DD only has a school delay. What are they thinking? It's still coming down and the roads are bad. We will see........

Andy: Your poor tree. Take it easy at work today if you have to go in.

Heather: Hawaii now your talking !! I have always wanted to go there. Chuck tells me someday.

Terry: Hope your feeling better. How about a little tea with honey? I am not much of a tea drinker myself but it might help. How are you doing with the snow?

Bev: When you were in Las Vegas did you like it? What did you mean by you heard it has changed so much? I have never been there before. It's all new to me. Will I be safe by myself?

Mary: I won't complain about our weather. I feel bad for you. You got ALOT more snow then us.

I just finished digging out our car and driveway, now I have to get ready for work. What a day this is going to be!!! Oh yea, we have more snow falling from the front that is coming from the northwest, it will add another inch or two on top of what we already have.

I started getting ready for work and then said, "The heck with it." I called and took a Personal Day for today. I want to give the homeowners a chance to get their sidewalks and steps cleared off before I go back to work on Wednesday. Hey, that's what Personal Days are for!!!

Because of state testing for all 11th graders, all other grades do not have to report to the high school until 10:15 today, Wednesday and Thursday. Angelina is still curled up in her bed, lucky girl.

I started getting ready for work and then said, "The heck with it." I called and took a Personal Day for today..

Andy, good for you. I wasnt that smart lol Got up and did the walk and driveway. Got ready for work. Schools were on a 2 hr delay, We laughed as it was still snowing hard. Well 40 minutes later they finnaly cancelled school. Caitlin and mom are still home resting.

I made it in and now hard at work , Well at work anyway.
Oh and another inch has fallen since I cleared the driveway. well something to look forward to on my way home tonight.

Hi everyone:

Well, it happened. There was another SNOW DAY today! I know that the superintendent and the principal were trying to NOT have a snow day but with this much snow, there was just nothing else they could do. Now I don't know about the cruise we're supposed to be going on, on June 17th. As of right now, the boys have 6 snow days to make up, which puts their last day of school at Monday, June 27th. If DH and I go on this trip it means that DSs will miss Friday, June 17th, the ENTIRE following week, PLUS Monday, June 27th. I just don't know about that I know they won't be missing exams or anything like that, but will they still be taking tests or anything on those last days? I guess I'll have to wait and find out, but our final payment for this cruise is due in 2 weeks, March 14th!

John and the boys were outside for over an hour and this includes using the snowblower and 2 people shoveling, and it's STILL not done, but at least John was able to get his truck out and get out of the driveway to go to work. Craig and Robby are still out shoveling the rest now. I told them that I'll take them out for lunch today, if the roads are OK (the streets seem to be OK), and if they get the rest of the driveway done and my minivan dug out. Oh, and as long as the restaurants are open. lol

BEV! I knew I had forgotten to mention someone in my lost post, I am sorry. How are you??? As you can see, I've been under several FEET of snow up here.

My laryngitis is a little better today, I can speak normally for a few words before my voice cracks. lol I just have to try and be quiet for another day and hopefully it'll be gone. lol

I called DCL this morning and asked about the Romance package. I am going to do it but I can't till August of this year. I figure prices will go up then. They told me they might change package or tweek it you never know. Interesting........

I was very happy to find out I was linked with 11 "reservations". Thank You. I also made a very small payment towards cruise. It always makes me feel good when I call DCL.

I'm only guessing, but I imagine you have late dining with being hooked up with 11 ressies!!! This should be some dining experience!!! I have an extra pay this month, so I'll be making another payment for the cruise by the end of this month. Slowly but surely, the cruise is getting paid off.

Mine is soar. I reputured my qaud tendon in 1998, Ever since on these types of days, Its tender and aches from time to time.

The doc did a good job putting me back together, but never the same, but now I know when the weather is changing

I know what you mean, my knees are better at predicting the weather then the weather people!!! My right knee is stiff and aching this morning, another reason for taking the Personal Day today. We are now getting snow from the second front that is coming in from the northwest. We might get a dusting to maybe another inch or two from this system going through. Is it just me, or does this winter seem extra long this year???

No Andy I think you are right. My Mom's B-day is the 3rd and every year the week of her B-day the roads get posted due to the increasing temps and thus melting. (This is logging country if you do not understand about roads being posted)Now the roads are posted BUT there is very little metling going on! Some days there are patches beside the road but not like most years. I think we will find it has been a colder than normal winter.

Still snowing here, a good 8 inches of the up to 20 they are calling for

Andy:You guessed right ! We have second seating. We have always had first seating on the cruise but since we aren't bringing the kids this time decided to try 2nd and leave 1st open for families traveling with kids. I hope we don't regret it. This is only the 2nd payment I have made for cruise but I agree with you. Every little bit helps in paying off the cruise. Shhhhh Chuck doesn't even know I am paying off cruise. I wan't to pay a little bit every month.

Hi everyone,

The is out. We got about 5 inches of snow. Schools were open but I didn't feel like getting out early to shovel since work had a 3 hour delay. So DD Lindsay stayed home and DS Harley shoveled for me at 8. I'm surprised at how well everything was plowed.

Tina - I meant Vegas changed so much since 1983 in a very positive way. I have heard from co-workers that have gone there that Vegas is so built up and has so much more to offer than just casinos. They are trying to make it more family oriented. I was told I wouldn't recognize it with all the newer hotels and things to do. I'm sure you will have a fantastic time. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Terry - I'm okay. Just a little down lately. I've been thinking about you and wondering how you are doing. Hope you feel better soon.

Well, got to get ready to go back to work. Ugh.

Tina--We always select late dining, even though at home we have dinner around 4pm, we enjoy late dining on the ship, no feeling rushed if you have been on excursion, plus we like the little extra time we have with our servers during and after our meal.

Mary--Would that be March 3rd for your mom's B-day? If so, that's Hazel's B-day as well.

I belong to the 'barometer knee' club as well. Maybe we should get into weather forecasting. I'm sure that we could do as well (if not better) as the professionals.
