I can feel in your post how much more relaxed you are since you adjusted your vacation plans. Vacations are for relaxing, not for stressing, so I'm glad you made the right decision for you.

I'm sure you will have a wonderful anniversary dinner at the castle. How romantic can you get? The boys will be fine. If they stick together I would certainly allow them to go their own way when you are in the same park. Do you have 2-way radios? If not, you can borrow mine.

Well, I am off for the rest of the day to take Stan to his 1st chemo treatment. :worried:

Just so we can keep it straight... The fish in the movie spells her name, Dory. (I checked the credits, of course!) :teeth:

Dori :cool1:

Hey this morning the way I feel, I'm just happy I could remember its a fish in the movie :rotfl2: , otherway I may have been thinking Duh, ..... Beer

Now was that shovel the dog, or walk the shovel, or why did I get up? :rotfl2:

Now being at work and having to deal with my oversea users, Beer might have been the wiser choice. :rotfl2:

The North America ones here are not much better today. :earseek:
Ahhh Life in IT. :badpc:

Evening All

My goodness it is cold here today, and we have had snow most of the afternoon.

Terry; I am so glad you have been able to make the decision you feel most comfortable with. You will have a wonderful time and as you said you and your husband can cruise alone together in the future I am sure.

Bev: Hope you will be able to join Andy and myself when we meet in August, if you are unable to make that day we will have to get our heads together to see when we can fit in a meet.

Linda: Not long now!! Have a wonderful time.

Tina: Had a lot more snow here today, but nothing like you are getting, hope everything is fine with you.

Andy: Hope you are well and the knee is not playing you up too much.

Ed: Cant believe we will be missing you by just a week in August, if your plans change be sure and let us know.

Lyn: Hope you are well, and a happy belated birthday wish for your DH for yesterday.

Darlene: I do hope Stans 1st chemo treatment went ok. Sending lots of pixie dust :wizard: and prayers your way.

A Big HELLO to all my other cruise mates.

Speak soon

Sue

Hi Sue,

We are trying to firm up our plans this year.
The only certain thing so far we will be at WDW Aug 6 -13th.

I am taking 3 weeks vacation, visiting my Brother and his Family in Ala, for a couple days after WDW.

Driving down and back seeing some country on the way.

We are thinking of visiting some non Disney parks on way home, but the other day my dw said " you know we could always stop at WDW before heading home" so back to planning some more. lol. :rotfl2:

We have eight years to make up for, and if AP rates come out for Aug, since we will visit before crusie next year, now it might make some sense to get AP. :rotfl2:

Dori: That bad IT day :badpc: just got a lot better. :Pinkbounc :cheer2:  :cheer2:

My two week wait, went by faster than I thought. Got some good news today :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Thanks Darlene :)

I hope everything goes OK today with Stan's first dose of chemo. I remember my sister saying that it took a couple of days to feel the effects after that first dose, but of course everyone is different. I hope Stan has a minimum of side effects. :grouphug:

Darlene: Hope all wen't well with Stan today. :wizard: :wizard: :grouphug:

Sue: I was only kidding about sharing the snow with you. :) I hope you were able to still get around.

Well Chuck thought the weather has cleared up enough............He has left for Rhode Island. Did anyone watch Amazing Race last night? I thought Rob and Amber were :rotfl2: Tina

Hi everyone,

Darlene - hope things went well with Stan today. How are you doing?

Sue and Andy - I don't know if I will be able to meet up with you on the 19th. Probably getting there early afternoon. I would love to meet you then but I am not renting a car. Planning on taking a shuttle from the airport to the Buena Vista Suites and they have transportation to the parks and two malls. Any advice on how to get 7 people from the hotel to PC with lots of luggage. Thinking about renting a stretch limo but I don't know who to call.

I also need some advice. I booked a cat 10 and was assigned room 7501 all the way in the front of the ship. I asked them to change it and were re-assigned room 2585 more mid ship. I was going to change to a cat 9 but it was all the way in the back of the ship on deck 2. I'm so confused :confused3 . Does anyone know if room 2585 is a good location? Is it worth the extra money for a cat 9 but in the very back of the ship?. Please help. What would you do???

Thanks,
Bev ::MickeyMo

Bev--unless you want a cabin with a porthole, it looks as though 2585 won't be that bad. I was just looking in my DCL booklet, and I see you won't have anyone next to you on the left as that appears to be a storage area of somekind.

Darlene--I trust all went well with Stan today, he is in our thoughts and prayers!!!

Tina--devoted Amazing Race fan here, I too thought Rob was a bit funny last night, I enjoy his sense of humor!!!

Ed--congratulations on the good news you received today!!!

Now, I just wish it would start feeling like March around here and not January. It was bitter cold :cold: walking around today reading meters, and more :cold: in store for tomorrow as well. :guilty:

Here's a :grouphug: for everyone else!!!

Thanks, Everyone.
Stan seemed to do well today, much better than I. Terry, they did tell us that it may take a few treatments before side effects show up. And of course everyone is different. They gave him some meds just in case. It's going to be a long 8 months. But it is an investment in our future, so worth it.

Did I tell you the toast he gave me at our anniversary dinner? He lifted his glass and said, "This is the Beginning of our Next lifetime together." Trust me, that was poetic for him. I cried right there at the table.

If you are cold, I wish you warmth.
If you are tired, I wish you rest.
If you are hurt, I wish you peace.
All my DIS friends, I wish the best! :grouphug:

Hi all! We had yet another snow day yesterday. Looks like we'll be going to school till the end of June. I'm glad because I'd actually rather leave here in the morning when you don't have to shovel, scrape & warm up the car first. I just dream of the day I am living in Florida & not dealing with all that plus the boots, coats, hats & mittens that are all in front of my door. :guilty:

We may also be in DW the first week or two in August. We haven't made any definitive plans yet, but that is what we are looking at right now. I just wish they would offer some discounts. We paid 84 for POFQ last July & now they want 120 for Pop this summer. It's killing me! The only way I get DH to go is by telling him what I great discount I got. That's how I talked him into this cruise! :p

Darlene: Wishing you & Stan the best.

Terry: Glad you made the decision you did. Sounds like a big relief for you. I also had a dilemna with the Disney Aug. repo cruise from CA back to FL. DH wanted to go on that cruise so badly but my DD would have just started middle school that week & I would have also missed a whole weekend of classes. I just think starting middle school is stressful enough without making her start a few days late. She is a very shy child, but even she was begging me to make the decision to go. Like you I said "not this time." It was for the best.

Bev: I took travel agent classes before. I loved it but never followed thru & everyone says I missed my calling. I am also back to school & struggling with homework. You are never too old to go back. Good luck!

Andy: Take care of that knee!

Hope everyone else is doing well!
Diane

Darlene, I join with everyone else in wishing you and Stan the best.

Diane, I'm with you hopeing that some discounts are posted for Aug.
My guess we wont hear anything before May.

Andy, Thank you. All I can add I am very happy. Now I wait to see how much uncle Sam will take. :rotfl2: At least the cruise will be paid for a lot sooner than I planed. :Pinkbounc :cheer2:  :bounce:
Hope you have a warm coat and hat for those meter readings.
Beware of icy patches.

Bev, sounds like the Cat 10 may be fine. You could also wait to see if they upgrade you.

:grouphug: to Everyone.

Still not packed yet. The only good thing is that things are going good at work and I might be able to take Friday afternoon off.

My DH's father had surgery to remove the colon cancer. We will know in a few days if they are going to do chemo also. I wasn't sure he would survive the surgery because he has already had a heart transplant.

Will this snow ever stop :confused3

Linda

Hi all - I feel like Im kinda out of the loop here a little. Been so busy at work and getting ready for FLorida this weekend... Cant wait to be sitting in shorts in that 75 degree weather!!!

Darlene - so glad to hear Stan is doing well with Chemo so far. Cant wait to celebrate his complete recovery on the ship of fools!!!!

Doreen - youve got over a year to figure out how to make a "Koozie" for a smoothie glass... now get to work!!!!

Carmen - glad to hear your back in the loop - we missed you!!

Andy - sorry to hear that the "Official Word" wasnt exactly what you wanted to hear.

Terry - Great idea about the family vacation. They are only young once so you might as well hang out with them while they still want to hang out with you - LOL.

Hello to all the new members the group that I havent had the pleasure of talking to yet.

Wow, that brought tears to my eyes, just reading what Stan said to you at your anniversary dinner. That really was a beautiful thing to say.

I'm glad today's treatment went well! :) I'm sure the next 8 months will be filled with ups and downs (hopefully not many downs) but I can tell that the love you have for each other, especially your love for him because he will really need it, will sustain your whole family through this. And we are here for you too, Darlene, if you need to talk about it, or vent, or if you need a good laugh I'm sure we can help you out with that too. :) I am so looking forward to seeing ALL of us "Cruising Castaways" next summer, healthy and happy, and having the time of our lives. :grouphug:

When I leave to go to work on these cold :cold: mornings, I look like an Eskimo walking out the front door, LOL!!! Yes, I am dressed in many layers as well!!! We had another light dusting of snow this evening, and another very :cold: day is in store for Thursday, Friday, Saturday.............and so on, and so on, and so on....... :scared1:
