Caitin is off to see eye doctor, she woke up with a swollen eye,

Yesterday afternoon she was playing with her friends and kids being kids,
in their fooling around, one boy was trying to get away from a girl( hey these are 8 and 9 yo's), well caitlin was watching this, the boy stumbles and his elbow clocks Caitlin in the face.


Its not discolored but is swollen. poor kid was in tears this morning.
She's doing better now, but off to the DR just to play it safe.


Oh course we call and our Eye Dr is on vacation so we have to go to oncall Dr who is out of network. ugggg

Ouch! Ed, I am so sorry to hear this. Hoping that it is just swollen and nothing more serious. Did she get ice on it quickly? Well, at least she didn't get the cooties the boy was running from!!

Good Hotttt Morning To All!!

Hope everyone is staying cool and here is a contribution towards 10,000. I don't know how you guys are getting any packing done. Although maybe you are not packing yet---we have to be by this weekend as next week we have a big committment for the whole week for VBS at our church. I got a big chunk of it done last night so I promise I will try to contribute more to the posting.. My guess is August 5th at 5:55pm.

BTW--for those of you who have begun packing and planning---just how many suitcases are you taking??? I've tried to cut it down but once again I find us needing more than I thought We have a few days at WDW before so that has really thrown me for a loop. Just curious to see how much everyone else is taking or not taking.

We dont start packing until the middle of next week,
Now making a checklist, thats another story, it keeps growing. Just picked up a travel hair dryer from AAA.

Need to order cruise baskets, got maps, we have to plan for 3 weeks on the road. Did it last year so we know what not to pack this year

I'm trying to hold everyone to 2 bags plus one carryone.

last year it was all the extra bags for the non clothes that was a pain.

It is soooo hot here, came home from work early. Head is pounding. I will certainly have to pack the migraine meds. But maybe after a few cocktails, what headache will i be worrying about.

We got our cruise docs yesterday!!!

It was right on target with what they told me at DCL so if anyone does'nt have theirs yet you can call DCL and find out when they were mailed out and they will also give you a tracking number for UPS so you can see what date they will be delivered.

Just curious about the Tea with Wendy---read some not so favorable reviews a while back and had'nt planned for DD to do this but your cute pics of the girls made it seem like they had a fun time. Our DD is not into dolls but has a cat from Build A Bear that she named princess. She has the Tinkerbell outfit, Jasmine and Sleeping Bueaty outfits for it and wants to bring them and dress them up when she gets her pics taken with the character. She does'nt know that her grandmother and I got Cindrella and Snow White outfits and these will be showing up magically in our room on Princess with a Happy Birthday sign above----I know she will be excited because she will now have all the princess outfits except Belle.

I noticed in your pics of the girls that one had a Build a Bear dog?? Didn't even think of this for our DD to go to and dress her cat up and take to tea---I told her about the tea and she was excited and wants to take her cat---Anyone else's DD's doing this and does anyone know when the tea is???

Darlene, Victoria might switch to her bitty baby if I tell her about Sandy's present. She will love it. You are right, we might be nearing the end of their DOLL DAYS. If I were you, I'd give it to her before you left - I know I would otherwise she'll want to pack another doll or stuffed animal! What a good mommy you are!

I showed the pic to Caitlin the other day and she wants to do the tea with Wendy also.

I was also informed she is packing one of her American Girl dolls, just haven't decided which one yet, but I think Marcell is leading candidate


We havent received our travel docs yet either,
I contacted our TA and they indicated they were sent to them, and they put them in the mail yesterday, so I should have them in next couple of days.

I'm not the first, but I may be the last to get them

OK, I drank 6--16oz bottles of water this morning between 8:45am and 11:30am, and did not have to go to the bathroom once, LOL!!! The water was sweating out of faster than I could get it in. It is brutal out there I can tell you that.

I have a funny story to share that happened this morning, but let me get something to eat first, then I will post it.

OK, I have a ham and cheese sandwich in hand, now back to my funny happening this morning.

My mom called my cell phone about 9:30 this morning, by then I was already getting out breath from walking around in this heat and humidity. I found a shady spot under a tree and laid my meter book on the ground and put my glasses on the book so I could wipe the sweat off my forehead. While talking with my mom, I bent over to pick my glasses up and I felt water running down my leg. I forgot to say, I had two bottles of water in my back pockets. Anyhoo, one of the caps on one of the bottles wasn't shut tight and when I bent over it squeezed water out of that bottle and the water came squirting out. I had this great big wet spot on the back of my pants, it looked like I wet myself, but backwards, LOL!!!

I told my mom what had just happened, and she nearly wet herself from laughing so hard. I'm so glad I can laugh at myself with the crazy things that happen to me, LOL!!!

OK, back to my ham and cheese sandwich!!!

Since I've been having problems with my computer, I decided to go on line at work during lunch time to see what's happening. 9 pages later - wow! everyone sure was busy. I think we will hit 10,000 sooner than I thought. Maybe 12,000 by the cruise.

It has just taken me 45 minutes to read everything that was posted since last night. So much going on, it is hard to even remember where to start with comments.

Ed........I hope your DD's eye is feeling better.

Also about Tea With Wendy, I suggest getting there 15-30 minutes ahead of when they say they are giving tickets out. When we went, the tickets were gone before the time even arrived. If you don't get tickets, go to the tea time anyway. Since this is a free ticket event, many people forget or blow it off. Half the place was ready for the people that never showed up.
