Have a safe trip, to and from, "The Garden State" Terry, and thanks again for the countdown!!! :goodvibes

DAVES CHEST XRAY (CTSCAN) IS FINE!

He just called from the hosp with the ct results. The chest xray showed up nothing. Does not look like the cancer has spread! Oh thank God!
I never ran down those bedroom stairs so fast in my life - I thought the only person calling at this time would be him
He's hoping to get the ultrasound done today and start "donating" his blood
Thanks for the support you've given me/us this past wk. It helps to vent.

Barb--that's great news, thanks for the update!!!

Barb,

Thanks for the update, That is great news,
dont worry about "venting" thats what friends are for.

Spoke w/Dave - He did have the renal ultrasound done today. He's sounding better.
I think I may work on some trip planning after work tonight while things are still on a positive note.

Barb: That's GREAT news !! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I just got an update...........finally heard from doctor's office no cancer. :cheer2: But there was a misunderstanding about the last bloodwork for my liver. There still seems to be a slight problem with it. I go back next month for more bloodwork and he REALLY does want me to try and lose 5 to 10 lbs. The nurse laughed and thought the Doctor was being a bit harsh. She didn't think I needed to lose any. :confused3 Gotta run, still packing. Does it ever end. I am bringing everything but the kithen sink. :rotfl:

Great News Tina!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Still nothing from DisneyDirect today, :confused3 making me feel a bit glum, :guilty: I thought for sure the package would arrive today. Well, there's always tomorrow's mail. ;)

I forgot to add, have a great vacation!!! :wizard:  :wizard:

Tina - great news! :Pinkbounc
Although its not personally, I can understand the sigh of relief
Hope all is well with the next bloodwork
Have a great vacation

I have to go back to have blood taken again for my thyroid. Had it taken in June and doc told me to go back again in Aug. Dave & I are thinking the day we need to take him for surgery I may as well have the blood drawn then.

Wow, some of you guys are really having a rough time just now. I'm surely sorry to hear of your news and I do hope everything gets brighter for you all soon.

Am I allowed to ask you all a question on this thread or is it better to post on the main Cruise Board?

I was wondering what you all think are the good excursions to do on Castaway Cay? Is it best to do them on the first stop - or the second. How wonderful to have the dilemma of which CC stop to do them on ;)

I like the look of the Banana Boat ride and the paragliding. Have any of you done them? What do you think?

Many thanks all :)

Karen

Hi Karen,

Good to hear from you!!! :goodvibes

I've done both the parasailing and BBR on CC, I think they both are great and should try them at least once. I enjoyed the peaceful flight of parasailing with my DD, she thought it was going to be a scary type of a ride. Although she did enjoy it, she said she doesn't need to do it again. The BBR is a different story, we "BOTH" really enjoyed that and are looking forward to doing it again. Even if I can't ride it with her, I'm hoping maybe Sue's DD might like to ride with my DD. I'd say book them for the first stop at CC, and see what you enjoy, you might like to schedule a time again for our second stop on CC!!!

Andy

I think you can say thats a guarentee that Vicki would love to do the BBR with Angelina, heck I may even have a go myself. :rotfl2:

Now the paragliding I would love to do, but I am not too great on heights, but hey as long as they can get me back down again, I may just give it ago.

Andy, Did you and Angelina go up together, could I take Vicki with me, sort of like a comfort blanket. lol

Karen, whatever you decide to do I agree with Andy book it for the first stop, you may enjoy it so much, that you can then book it again the second time.

Speak soon
Suex

Yes, Angelina and I went tandem on the parasailing, I think it was more fun going up with someone else. I am one that is also afraid of heights, but the parasailing didn't bother me one bit, I felt like I was on a giant swing, it was wonderful!!!

As long as my knees allow it, I will be going on the BBR again next August. We'll have to hook up our times together, maybe we can get a group of 10 people and fill up the whole ride!!! :rotfl2:

That would be fantastic, hear that Karen we can all go on together, now that will be a great laugh, are you tied on Andy, or is it possible to fall off lol.

Andy

I know this has probabley been posted before, but have you any idea what nights are pirate and formal and the like??

Thanks Sue

Thanks Andy and Sue :)

Good idea to do it on the first stop for the reason you mention!

Andy that is one great idea to see if we could get 10 people for the BBR! Definitely count me in for that :) How much fun would that be?!!

What age would you recommend would be okay for the BBR? My DD will be 10 (gosh that is a scary thought, she was still 8 2 weeks ago!) and is a reasonable swimmer. Will she be old enough do you think, or is it best left till she is bigger?

Best left till she is bigger!! Listen to me, I am assuming we will cruise again even though we never have yet!! :goodvibes

I would love to hear from anyone else with your thoughts as well :) :) :)

Angelina and were flipped off during our August 2003 cruise while on the BBR, in fact that's where I lost my glasses. :rotfl: The glasses are still sitting in the bottom of the ocean. :rotfl2:

That I'm not real sure about that myself right now. I thought I read that Formal Night will probably be Monday and Pirate Night after the stop in Cozumel, with Semi-Formal Night being Thursday. Don't hold me to that, I'm relying on my "old age" memory, LOL!!! :rotfl2:
