Nice to hear that you are safe, our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those who perished and the injured.

Seems like we have a few DIS'ers from "across the pond" who will be cruising with us in August '06 :goodvibes

Thank you again

Daves meeting w/doc tomorrow morn (Doc is on wknd call)
Still talking about 6wks from now. Dave isnt concerned about getting to/from hospital. Jon & I leave for FL in 5wks!
I asked Dave if he could try to get doc to move operation up to 4wks or wait till we're home 7wks from now. Dave wants to get it done with and I cant blame him. Who wants to think about upcoming surgery?
I think I better make a backup plan to get Jon & myself to/from Bradley airport.

Hi Everyone:

I am back from our WDW trip and Carnival Cruise.

Disney was ok but it was over cast and/or raining the whole time we were there. The lines were outrageous and it was oh so hot. I waited two hours to ride Soarin in Epcot since the fast passes were all gone. It was ok though since we had been there before it didn't matter that we didn't get to see everything.

I did encounter a lot of rude guests though. We had a discussion with the waitress in Prime Time about this and she said more and more guests were complaining and so were the employees.

I have to admit "eventhough I probably will be flamed" Carnival was fabulous. The people were extremely nice and the food was great. The ship was like brand new and spotless.

Let me know if you have any questions I will be happy to answer them.

I am so glad to see that all of our DIS friends in London are ok. My prayers are with you. We know first had how it feels to go through something like this.

Lyn

Doreen: I didn't think about it rhyming. Thanks I feel better now. :rotfl2: I have an appt. tomorrow to get a different hair style. I am hoping that helps. They can cut it all off as far as I am concerned. :rotfl: Sending you a PM.

Lyn: Welcome back ! :cheer2: I sent you a PM for some questions.

Hi All - well im back from my first week of traveling for my new job. New job went well - commute back from DC area left lots to be desired - God I hate traffic.. Oh and my first day at my new job - driving back to the hotel and some young kid rear ends me in Bobs new car. I was so pissed...Thankfully the damage wasnt that bad and her insurance company is paying for everything. But still what a welcome to Maryland.

Good news on the home finding issue. Bob and I bought a house last weekend. We must have looked at 15 houses and finally found one we really liked. It doesnt have a pool but we plan on adding one as soon as we move in. I have pictures but dont know how to post them so if anyone can help me - let me know.

Prayers go out to Sue and all your fellow UKers for the horrible attacks the other day. And of course continued well wishes for Stan and Marty.

Im home til Sunday night and then back down to DC til Friday.

Tina, what no photos of the orange hair?

I asked Ginny if she would like me to post a photo of her beautiful new home in Florida. Here it is.

:rotfl2: funny Andy. To answer your question..............Highlight below to read.

NO WAY JOSE, NOT NOW OR WELL MAYBE WHEN I GO TO FLA. BY NO CHOICE. :rotfl2:

Ginny: Your new home is beautiful. Congrats :cheer2:

Ed - its not everything I wanted but I couldnt afford the $1.1M one!!
LOL

Just kidding - the only thing I have to add is a pool and granite countertops.
The size was right, great schools so it has great potential.

Ginny,

You know if its not one thing its another.

Congrats on the new home, and some PD:wizard: for the car

Hi everyone,

Tina - what did Chuck say? No pictures posted of your new "orange" hair?

Ginny - good luck on your new house. I'm jealous.

Andy - looking forward to meeting you and your family at the Disney store. Thanks for posting the weekly countdown.

Lyn - how would you compare Carnival to Disney? We're doing the Glory in August.

Barb - hope Dave feels better soon.

(((((Sue)))))) and fellow UKers (((((Hugs)))))) I spent some time in the London Tubes... I love them. It sickens me that there is now fear assicatated with them.

((((Tina)))) I have pink, blue, purple, red, brown and blonde hair.... never thought about Orange......

Andy.... great sign maker! Thanks for the link.

Ginny.... the house is lovely! Looks so bright and cheerful. SOrry to hear about the accidnet. Glad your ok and that the insurance covered it.

Lyn... I am cruising on Carnival's Facsination in October with some internet friends. I hear it is an older ship and I am a bit worried because a little over a week before I go on the Carnival Cruise, I will be getting OFF the Disney Wonder. But Like anything... it is what you make it!

I must force myself to sit down and fill out all our passport apps. We have a 11 letter last name and writing it a million times is kicking the carpel into high gear.

I also messed up big time on the staining on the front door. I thought it was one stain and it turns out it is suppose to be another. I hope I can restain with the correct color tomorrow. At least the first stain was a light one... so hopefully not too much damage has been done.

I am just a few days away from booking our excruisions and such for our 3 day cruise in September. Very excited.

Good thoughts headed towards all those in Dennis's path....

Bev: For us I found Carnival to be great. The price was right and my son is in that in between age "18" where Disney doesn't have anything geared to that group. Carnival has clubs for that group and I really liked the fact that something was going on into the wee hours of the morning for the adults. I am a night person. Carnival had more areas available for food also and the food was good.

I guess I went on this cruise with low expectations thinking that no one could out do Disney and I was pleasantly surprised.

The ship we were on was the Miracle and I think it is only a year old, so it was in great shape, the sheets and covers on the beds were heavenly. Very soft and plush.

The Glory holds about 800 - 900 more people than the Miracle so it is going to be a bigger ship and bigger is always better. I know you are not going to be board, you'll have a great time. :cool1:
