Diane:  I don't mean to leave you out. I am looking forward to meeting everyone on this cruise. :goodvibes

Tina: It's not your fault! I don't have time to chime in like I used to. Thanks for the wave though....I really appreciate it! Look forward to meeting everyone too! :grouphug:

Terry: Thanks for making me feel better. It's good to know I'm not the only one who can't keep anything straight on a thread. I am definitely a visual learner! LOL Thanks for the congrats too! That was very nice of you to say that about teachers. Parents like you will make it all worth it in the end! I hope you have a great trip in May too!

Hurry up 24 weeks!!!! :hourglass

Diane

Sounds like we are all pretty busy right now. I think of you ALL often, even if I don't get here as often as I would like.

Take care everyone. I can't wait to be onboard and see all your friendly faces. Even Stan is looking forward to August! It only took 5 cruises to win him over completely. :rotfl:

HAPPY MONDAY tomorrow...

How was the show

Andy, How is the Sweet 16 planning going,
Save your notes, I will need them in 7 1/2 years (Lol)

Maybe I should just plan on another cruise for Caitlin's sweet 16.

We were supposed to celebrate Angelina's Sweet 16th on the August cruise, that was before she decided she wanted to have this BIG party.

Just about everything is in order for the party, now we just have to wait for September to get here, at least it gives my checkbook another six months to get ready for it!!! :rotfl:

Hi all

An Update to our plans, We now have added a quick 4 night stay at the Old Key West Resort before the Cruise.

Now I can celebrate my B-day with Mickey.

We will still be staying at the Raddison the night before , but Aug 14- 18 (day) we will be at Disney.

I was able to rent some points and this made the stay affordable this trip.

Ok,

Now for thoughts on how to celebrate my 49th bday on the 15th.

So many choices, so little time.

Oh course since the cruise was originally my bday gift to myself and family, now its even more fun

How was the show

We had a wonderful weekend, Ed! Jerry Seinfeld was his usual hysterical self! :lmao: And we LOVED his opening act; a comedian named Tom Papa from my home state of New Jersey. We were laughing so hard we were crying. If anyone ever has the chance to see Tom Papa, go and see him! He's similar to Seinfeld in that they both are "clean" comedians, no bad language or vulgarity. On Sunday we went to see a couple of 3D movies at the New England Aquarium, we enjoyed those too. :fish:

Yay for your pre-cruise Disney trip. :sunny: We'll be adding on a few days at Disney World after the cruise, not sure which resort yet. We'll be at the Radisson the night before the cruise, too.

For those of us who will be at the Radisson the night before: What time will you all be arriving? We haven't bought our plane tickets yet, but I'm hoping to take the 10:30am flight down to Orlando, that arrives at around 1:30pm. This means we should be at the Radisson by 3pm. There's a later flight too, but that would get us to Orlando later, around 6pm.

Since its about an hour from WDW, I figure we would get to the Radison between 3 and 4pm.

:sunny: pirate: :boat: :sail: :fish:23 weeks to go until we're cruising with Mickey and hitting Castaway Cay TWO times!! :woohoo: :cheer2: :yay:  :sunny:

The number of weeks until we cruise is DEcreasing, and our excitement is INcreasing!!! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :thumbsup2

Ok, so I got a little tired of only saying "XX weeks to go!!!" :teeth: That was boring! :rolleyes1

Any way you say it, its still great news.

23 To go.

What a way to start the weekend!!!

Thanks

OK, please don't hate :furious: me guys when you see what is at the bottom in my siggie. I just found out yesterday that the May 13th cruise was opened with Florida Resident Rates available. Last year my sister, niece and her family had booked this cruise(May 13, 2006) but we had already booked our August 2006 cruise because Angelina is still in school and we weren't going to take her out of school for a week to go on vacation.

Well, since this cruise is starting on Mother's Day weekend, and my mom is a Florida resident, I decided to surprise her by taking her on this cruise to celebrate her 70th Birthday onboard the Magic with her two oldest children. I talked everything over with Hazel and Angelina and they said they don't mind me taking my mom on this cruise, especially since I don't get to see her all that often now. Yes, Hazel and Angelina will be staying at home, holding down the fort while I cruise for a week in the Eastern Caribbean.

This has all happened so fast, my head is still spinning. I was able to make all the arrangements this morning without my mom knowing anything about this. I talked to my niece is she is so excited that my mom and I will be joining them. I already have our ressies linked for dining. I am going to surprise my mom with the cruise at her Surprise 70th Birthday Party on the 26th of this month. I'm thinking of putting on my pirate: pirate outfit just before we give her the cake and her presents, and giving her the news then.

OK, I have to get ready to go and get Angelina from school, Hazel left this morning for her Ladies Retreat and I have Mr. Mom duties this weekend, which of course means eating out, LOL!!!

Andy, silly man, we would never hate you! I'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say, We're THRILLED for you! I'm so glad you'll get to cruise with your mom and other family members! :grouphug: Have a wonderful cruise!! :boat: pirate: :sail:

P.S. Any chance you'll be stopping at Disney World before that cruise? I'll be there from May 11 - 16th!! :sunny:

To CT Tigger Fan: I just wanted to let you know that I too will celebrate my b-day on the 15th. This will be my 50th though. And like you, this is what I picked for my gift. I figured I gave my DH a DCL cruise, now it is his turn to return the favor. So early :bday: in case I don't get to a computer on that day (I teach).

I have been on the fence about the cruise. I have the 8/19 one with all of you reserved, and a reservation for RCCL FOS. It looks like we are leaning to do DCL once again. So unless there is a major change, please add our family to the list.

We are:
Dizzyworld - Shirley (50)
DH - Ron (52)
DS - Alex (12, but 3 weeks shy his 13th)
DD - Allison (Alli) (11)
Late seating (but waitlisted for early)
Staying at the Swan a few days before.

We had sailed with a few of you Aug. 21, 2004 on the Eastern Magic including Andy and his family. (Sad that they will not be joining us this time, but glad there is a cruise in his near future. Have fun Andy.)

I feel like I am coming to this party very late. I have been reading this thread over the past few months though. Looking forward to meeting many of you.

Shirley and Family welcome aboard, and Happy early B-day to you. Us Leo's must stick together.

Andy, Congrats on the surprise trip for you and your Mom. What a great son you are.

Sorry CT TiggerFan...I am the 15th next week, but many of my friend's including DH are Leo's. So we can still stick together. :goodvibes

Welcome Shirley and Family!! :grouphug: :welcome: Looking forward to seeing on board the Magic!! :sunny: :boat: :sail:

Terry,

I will most likely be flying in late on Friday and heading directly to the port area, so it's unlikely we will be heading over to WDW. My sister with her DH, and my niece's family and her friends all have rooms already reserved at the Radisson. I still have to find my mom and I a room for Friday night. I also have to check with my niece to see what time they are scheduled for the shuttle to the port.

If it wasn't for these Florida Resident Rates this trip wouldn't have been possible, not to mention my DW and DD "allowing" me to go!!! :rotfl:

Andy

Andy...If I were you , I would see if your DD has any tests that week and maybe surprise everyone (your daughter and wife) for Mother's Day and take them, keep your excursions and onboard account to a minimum and have fun.

Terry...Glad you had a good time seeing Jerry. I would love to see him.
