Yes, young and the summers off, that "was" the life!!!

Hi everyone:

Just a quick "Hello". I think I have what Angelina had! Last evening it hit me suddenly; fatigue, swollen glands, sore throat, dry and burning sinuses, etc. During the night I went back and forth between having the chills and then having bad sweats. I woke up this morning feeling a tiny bit better, so I went out to do volunteer work with my congregation, as I had planned. I'm not feeling any worse now, so that's good. I just don't want to be sick for our vacation in 13 days! I'm sure I won't be, but you know how it is when you have a trip coming up. lol

Anyway, I'm going to take a quick nap, I think I have a low grade fever; then the kids will be home from school, and Craig is having band practice here this afternoon :rockband: Fortunately I love hearing them play, so it won't bother my resting. I can sleep through anything when I'm tired enough. lol

Bev and Tina and anyone else not up to par: I Hope you're feeling Ok today!! Ed, how's your ankle?? Andy, how's your knee, and sinuses??

Ok, time for some more Sudafed Cough & Cold medicine...and a nap... :faint:

My sinuses are all clear, my knees are a bit sore this afternoon as I read about 75 curb meters (a lot of bending up and down) today....ouch!!! All in all, not too bad though. :goodvibes

I haven't had a chance to catch up on all the postings, but I wanted to stop by and post a picture of Matt's graduation last night. For everyone that knows Matt you will see by the picture that Matt is still Matt, just look at that laid back attitude.

My oldest son made it we celebrated my birthday, his and father days along with graduation. Graduation day was just perfect, I was so proud.

We leave tomorrow at 4 AM for the airport for our trip to WDW and Carnival cruise. :Pinkbounc

I will post more when I return.

For everyone that needs it here is a whole bunch of pixie dust. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

The ankle is healing, but now I keep getting foot cramps from the tendon.
All in all its ok, but tender

Jonathan just got $50 from Dave & I for his report card! We usually pay $10 per quarter but this was extra special. He ended his 7th grade w/a 90.2 gpa!
About 10 As on that report card and an 88 in Literacy (which was a 70 midyear)

Hi everyone from the UK :wave2:

Karen: :wave2: across the pond. My kids last day of school was yesterday. What month do they start school?

Andy: Before you know it AUGUST will be here and your knee will be sore from all the walking that you will do on vacation. Same for you Ed.

Tina, they don't return to school until September 5th. I guess they get around the same length holiday as you guys, it just starts and ends later?

The weather is lovely here at the moment - we're having a really hot spell at the moment. It's bound to end when the summer holidays begin! :umbrella:

Karen: My kids start school the Tuesday after Labor day. Sounds like you have a shorter holiday. I am sure you are looking forward to your up-coming holiday. Enjoy !! :Pinkbounc

LOL!!! When I first saw the photo, I thought there was a ball sitting on the top of your DD's head, LOL!!! :rotfl:

Just got Angelina's computer home from the computer hospital, I'm typing this message from her computer, just checking it out and making sure everything is working properly. It's a go, now my kid can get back online to her friends!!!

Hi everyone

Tina - the picture of your daughter is priceless. She's adorable. princess:

Lyn - congratulations on Matt's graduation. Isn't it a great feeling? It's great your son made it home. Have a fantastic vacation. Can't wait to hear all about it and see some pictures. :boat: ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Terry - get better soon. :wizard:

Andy - glad everyone at your house is doing better, even the computer. :badpc:

I did something bad today, which was good. My DS Harley went to Wildwood with his friend and her family for the week. When he left, he suggested that if I was feeling up to it, to come down for the day. I know the doctor said I can't lift, bend, be careful etc but she never said I can't drive. I went into work today at 6 am and while there I decided I'd rather be anywhere but there. I guess after sleeping 36 hours after the surgery and taking it easy, I felt I needed to get away so I left work at 9:30 and by 10:30 I was on the road with my mom and DD Lindsay headed down the shore to Wildwood. We met my son and girlfriend and we all went out to eat; walked the boardwalk for awhile; Lindsay won some stuffed animals; I got to eat my funnel cake :Pinkbounc (is anyone still on the diet challenge - cause one of these days, I will start it lol) and had a really nice day with my family. It :umbrella: poured on the way back. Now it's 8pm and I'm tired. A good tired.

Hope everyone is well or getting better.

Bev ::MickeyMo

Andy: I never noticed that untill you mentioned it. :rotfl2:

Bev:I can't wait to show that picture to her "future Husband" someday. After that it was the only time I let her get her hair braided. Boy was that a chore to get out.

MaryRose: How is your job going? Please come back on and say Hi.

Some other people missing in action...........Heather, Lisa, Dori,Darlene,Joanna,RobinMarie,Lucy, Linda.........Hope all is well.

Hi everyone:

I just got good news from the surgeon; the biopsies came back negative. No cancer   I still have to go back for another mammogram in 6 months though, so they can watch the calcifications for any changes.

I'm still sick today though. I feel really miserable, I didn't go to work today. When I called Frances (our account that I work for), she heard how bad I sounded and told me to stay home. lol I'll probably call the doctor's office in the morning and make an appt. It's moved down into my chest now, when I cough it hurts a lot and feels like my lungs are on fire. It is starting to feel like bronchitis.

Lyn: CONGRATS to you and Matt, on his graduation!! I am so happy that your older DS was able to make it out to NJ for this, I know that meant a lot to you, to have your family together :grouphug: Have a great time on the cruise :boat: and in DISNEY!! ::MickeyMo

Bev: I'm glad you had fun at Wildwood. Wildwood is one of my most favorite places at the NJ shore :sunny: My niece and her husband and DD are there on vacation this week. They're staying in Wildwood Crest.

Tina: Your DD looks adorable with her hair like that!!!! :flower: I can't imagine the patience it took to take all those braids out though.

Hi Karen: Happy Summer to you too! :sunny: :flower:

I hope everyone is having a good day :sunny:

Terry: I am thrilled to hear the good news! You must be so relieved! Now you just need to get rid of that cough!

Tina: That picture of your beautiful DD is hysterical!

Lynn: Congrats on Matt's graduation!

Bev: I don't know anything about Wildwood, but sounds like you had fun!

I had my last day of work on Monday & the kids got out of school on Tuesday. It was busy day for my DD since it was her last day of elementary school. They had a celebration pool party followed by a dance. It was very emotional & exausting day. I can't imagine what it will be like when she actually graduates! We are all out for the summer now & I am loving sleeping late in the mornings! Right now I am trying to type a paper that is due tomorrow & I have to read 7 chapters for school on Saturday, but I keep procrastinating. I'd much rather be at the beach! :sunny:

Take care all!
Diane

Terry--so glad to hear the good news, now get better real fast for that upcoming vacation.

Diane--get to work on that paper!!!

Would you say I have a little too much time on my hands? Some of us DIS'ers were discussing on another thread about door signs, then someone mentioned about making banners. Well, that's all I needed to hear, below is a photo of a banner I just finished printing off. The banner measures 8.5" X 66" and I'm thinking of hanging it in our cabin during our August 2006 cruise!!!
