Diane--Just got up after taking a short nap, my knee is swollen and still very sore, heading back to the couch and Hazel is getting me an ice pack. I guess it's a good thing I already had an appointment to see my orthpaedic doc this coming Tuesday. Congrats on getting your paper finished!!!

Andy, I know the feeling, I was walking down the street tonight checking out a noise and I jammed my foot with the bad ankle. I just put back on my brace

Good Morning Everyone I have some catching up to do

Bev: Wildwood sounds like a nice place. Glad you wen't. I haven't been feeling well. I have my good and bad days. I am ready for more good days.

Terry: I was so happy to hear your good news ! I can imagine what the relief was that you felt.

Diane: Glad you got your paper done now enjoy this weather a little.

Andy: The banner is awesome. Where in the cabin can you put it? Hope your knee is feeling better.

Darlene:Tell Sandy good luck at her recital. They can be long days for sure. There isn't anything like seeing your DD having fun. I really liked what you wrote at the bottom of your post.

Ed: Is your ankle feeling any better today?

It is going to better near 95 today.................Nope I am not going to complain it's to hot. It's the three H's Hot, Hazy, Humid. I told the kids last night I am taking them to a nearby waterpark today. They really have helped me the last couple of days. Even if I end up just sitting there at least we are doing something. My knee is feeling much better this morning, keeping the ice on it helped get the swelling down.

I was going to go into work this morning to finish up the last 40 curb meters in the book that I was working on yesterday, but I decided to stay home, instead, I've started doing the laundry for Hazel. It's going to be a hot one here today as well and I want to get the dryer off ASAP. I don't want the centarl air to have to work overtime either!!!

Good morning everyone
Jon is still at his sleepover. The kids mom called us last night. Jon sprained his ankle getting out of their pool. Think today may be a quiet one. He may stay home and rest, have a friend over. Dave will be with the boys. I might go to Buffumville Dam right down the street.
I went to bed at 730 last night, just got up now at 7am!

Took Jon to see Herbie yesterday afternoon. We both enjoyed it.

Barb--I hope Jon's ankle is feeling better today. Angelina spent the night at her friend's last night, luckily, it's just around the corner from us, I'll be picking her up around noon.

Gotta go, my first load of laundry is finished and I want to get it in the dryer, and get the next load in the washer. Hazel gets the job of going food shopping later!!!

Hi all, Tina the ankle feels a little better this morning, now its only tender where it hurt before I jammed it last night.

I had to put up a clothes line last week. our dryer is only blowing cold air.
We have a maintance contract but it will be another week before they can get here.

Well time to clean the house in perperation for Caitlin's sleepover party,
Tomorrow is her Bday

Wow... the more I read the more I think we should be called the Calamitity cruisers.... (ack... cant speel... claminity... calamitity... like calminity jane....)

I hope all the feet, ankles, knees and such all feel better soon.

We officially opened our pool to the public yesterday(our gaggle of friends that is) and it is non stop at our house. 5 people over yesterday, more coming today. I have to stock up on hotdog and hambergers Oh and beer of course. It is HOT HOT HOT.... but nice and cool in the pool.

I just paided off our September 3 day DCL cruise and I am chomping at the bit to book a spa treatment and book flounders for the boy. I really really wish the DCL offered the Palo's brunch on the 3 day. DH and I really want to eat at Palo's but we dont want to miss a dinining rotation. :::: Sigh ::::

I also want to book a glass bottom boat tour and I see it is offered at both Nassau and at CC... Has anyone done both?? Which is better?? Thanks...

Okay, off to get in my swim suit and float like only a fat lady can!

Hi everyone

It was over 90 degrees before noon!! Not sure what it is at the moment, probably a bit higher by now. We just got back from breakfast. Well, a LATE breakfast. lol Robby slept over a friend's house last night. I was the first one up this morning and I didn't wake up until 10am! I had a 10:15am nail appt that I had to cancel. lol Then John woke up, then Craig, and we decided to go out for breakfast.

I'm supposed to be going to a party at a friend's house this afternoon but I'm still not feeling great. I'm still coughing a lot, and I hate to be around other people and cough all over them. Not that I'd really cough all over them, but you know what I mean. lol Part of me really wants to go because most of the ladies in my congregation will be there and we always have a great time together, but also because it's a pool party and I could use some exposure to the sun before our trip to Florida. I haven't been out in the sun at all yet, and I'd like to get a little sun before the trip so I don't burn. I guess I could just set up the lounge chair in my own backyard and sit out there for a while....

Anyway, I'm rambling now. lol I hope everyone has a great weekend.

ANDY - I just sent you a PM. I got home from my most dreaded chore - food shopping- and found a smile-maker in my mailbox! You're the BEST!

DIANE - Glad you got your paper done. Always a good feeling to send it off to the prof. I remember the days when I was up until 3 AM TYPING (do you remember typewriters?) a paper that was due the next night, and then got up for work at 6 AM!!! Hope you can relax a little now.

TERRY - Hope you get a chance to sit out in the sun a little today. That always makes me feel better. Just don't get burnt!

BARB - Hope Jon's ankle feels better.

TINA - have fun at the waterpark! You really need it. I just finished rolling Sandra's hair for her recital. We'll see. I don't do hair . A friend who has a daughter in cheerleading gave this suggestion to use spray gel and roll pieces of the ponytail. I figure if it doesn't look right I can always wash it out. Like I have time for that! I can't wait for tonight. I always cry when she is on stage. My heart just gets so full watching her. And the best thing is that Stan will be there too!

Laura: I have never done any of the bottom boat tours but it sounds like fun.

Darlene: After many years of doing Brooke's hair for her recital............I put everything under the sun in it and it doesn't move !! First I wet it then put hair gell then this spray called freeze. It is frozen in place. I always cry to.

Terry: Why is it parents always remember to put sunscreen on there kids but not themselves? Is it just me that does this? I got FRIED today. I have some aloe vera in the refigerator. Just call me Rudolph. Hope you got a little sun and your feeling better real soon.

I got a couple pictures today at waterpark. I will load them in next post. I think it was to hot to go today if that makes any sense. The water felt good for about 1 min. then I felt hot hot hot.

This is Jonathan going down the cliff. Not me now or ever.
I am getting so swollen.........I couldn't get my wedding ring off. Chuck used olive oil to get my ring off. Time to get it re-sized after only 7 months.
