Hi everyone,

It's raining here in Philly.

Mary Rose - we are flying from Philly on SW on the 18th at 10:35 am arriving Orlando at 1:10 PM. Thinking about taking a limo from the airport to the Radisson. If you come in around that time, let me know if you want to share the limo with us. None of my business, but why are you flying into Jax or Tampa and traveling hours? The airfare to Orlando went down to $59 pp one way and only 45 minutes to PC. I have flown into Tampa many times before with no problem. It's safe and my brother has flown into JAX with no problem. Also, I always rent a car in Florida at one location and drop it off at another with no drop off charge. Most car rentals in Florida do not charge drop off fees.

Andy - so glad to hear that you and Hazel are going to the brunch. I'm looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

Tina - haven't watched the video again but I will.

Terry - welcome home.

To everyone else - hi.

Hi Bev!

Reason for flying into Tampa and out of JAX is because all the good times/cheap fares into Orlando are gone or have a stop (Heaven Forbid), like I said I HATE TO FLY! Thanks for posting about the $59 fare, it's because of you that I was able to get it. I rented thru Thrifty at Tampa I arrive at 12:30. We are six in a mini van but if you guys would like to squeeze in I'm sure we could all manage for a 45 minute drive! Let me know if you should swing by and get you!

Hi all,

Were back from NYC, we saw the Lion King , visited the ToyRus store, the one with the feris wheel in Times Sq, The american girl store and ....

The DISNEY Store Let just say Caitlin had a great Bday in the city, and made a haul at both the Disney store and the American Girl store,

Old dad is just an easy touch :rotfl2:
It was a magical day, we really love the Lion King show.

Ed...........sounds like a fun, filled, family day. We took our DD to see "The Lion King" last year and we loved it too.

Mary Rose...we have flown out of JAX a couple of times over the past two months and it was really nice. You shouldn't have any problems at all.

I wish we could join all of you for brunch but it is the day we launch my DH and DS to scout camp for the week. Have a great time. Take pictures!

Hi All! :sunny:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Sounds like some of you are having a ball!!

Terry--if it's not too late we would like 5 of the leis :)

Andy --thanks for your pm's---I'll be getting back to you by Monday to let you know for sure on the pic :)

Ed--sounds like you had a great weekend. I am so jealous--have been to NYC many years in a row years back and have very fond memories of broadway and the Disney Store on 5th Ave. It is such a fun and exciting place! :wizard: I will also be getting back to you on your pm--thanks so much--I think I just have one change.

The meet you are all having in New Jersey sounds like so much fun--wish we were closer--it would be neat to meet some of you before the cruise.

Well better get off to bed--going on a Father's Day Riverboat Cruise tomorrow--that is if the weather holds out--I sure hope so :rolleyes: Have a great rest of your weekend everyone!! :sunny:

Hello,

Does anyone know anything about the Dolphins at Costa Maya? My kids have had a swim with Dolphins at Cozumel and Acapulco, is this one up to thoose standards?

Good Morning Everyone!

Shirley - Thanks for the reassurance! It's a bit of a drive but worth it to get home on Sat. I think.

Ed - sounds like you had a great day!

EVERYONE - I'm having a huge 4th of July BBQ (around 60 people) and I ordered Glow Necklaces for the kids. While I was at it I ordered Glow Necklaces for our cruise too, the kids usually get a kick out of them (and so do I LOL!) So I'll bring them in addition to the pins & magnets from Andy's site.

Looking forward to Brunch next week. Wish you all could come!

Have a great Sunday!

Hello to all Cruisin Castaways! Would love to join your group - we went our first cruise last August (DCL Wonder 4 days) and we're amazed at the large group of travellers wearing the same shirt, looking like they were travelling with old friends and generally having a blast! Now I know those lucky people we DIS boarders!!!! :)

We booked this cruise next next cruise before disembarking (couldn't resist the discount and the 2 days at CC!) and figured that if we hadn't saved enough money to go, we could always put it off another year... When we realized that there will be no summer sailings to the Carribean in 2007 because of the special mediterranean cruises, we decided to make it happen this year because there was NO WAY we (ok, I) couldn't wait until 2008!!!

I know that this year is going to be even more fun than last year for so many reasons: it's longer (7 days vs 4 last year), 2 days at CC, we know more abouu what to do/bring but there's one thing I need help with: who do I talk to in order to make sure I get a good match for dinner companions? Let me explain why: last year, they paired the three of us (DH and I and our then 6 yr old DD) with a single mother, her mom and her 9 year old son. They were very nice people but we had very little in common plus the single mom started flirting with my husband on the first night and never stopped and in order to try to diffuse this, we all tried to fix her up with one of the waiters. It just isn't what I wanted to discuss during dinner (we heard about all her ex's and why she was too good for them, etc). The 9 yr old boy was pretty nice too but only had video games on the mind and therefore had nothing to talk about with my daughter. See what I mean? I need to sit with a family with whom we would have more in common and I'd love a little girl or two or three for my daughter to interact with... whew! That was long for a first post/rant! Sorry/thanks...

Anyway, I still have to decide on shore excursions - any insight?

Thanks in advance for all the fun and information. I've already learned a lot from reading existing posts!

Julie

Welcome Julie!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our TV is also on to the soccer game. My DD is a big Beckham fan. And today is her last day of soccer until practice in the beginning of Aug. It will be her first break of more than 3 weeks (this summer it is 5 weeks) from playing in over two years. Glad we love the game too.
And we're off..................Happy Sunday Everyone!!!
Welcome Julie & family!!!!!
Joanna - So glad you can make it LOL! After all when your hosting 60 you might as well host 260 right! And I have to work Monday & Wednesday YUCK!
Everyone- Okay, so I went by Terry's lei list and I ordered 20 magnets and 20 pins (I also ordered a Cruisin' Castaway 2006 Totebag, Thanks Andy!), but as far as the glow necklaces are concerned, I will bring 50 cause there seems like alot of kids.
We had such an awesome time two years ago, I can't wait to see everyone again and to meet all of you new guys travelling this time. I will miss all of you who can't return with us this time....Joanna, Lyn, Ginny, Bobby & Cindy to name a few. Anyway, we had lots of meets, including an hysterical smoothie meet on the pool deck where we all brought out smoothie makers and smoothie mixes to the pool deck and had a few. Only problem, couldn't find an outlet to plug in all the smoothie makers. We finally enlisted the help of a CM who may have thought it was weird, but helped us nonetheless. Somewhere there is an hysterical picture of Doreen & the CM in the hallway plugging a smoothie maker into an outlet. I have no doubt we will have great times this cruise also! Can't wait! Doreen - where is that picture? Burn it? LOL
Out to clean the yard in the rain!
Lots of BBQ in England today our team is in the world cup in the next hour.
A lot of shops have closed up early!
Congrats Andrew on getting to the Quarter Finals.. though I am more of a football sunshine supporter! I am more interested in the Queen's Children's party - looks lovely! princess: DH big Manchester United fan.. been to Old Trafford a few times, fantastic experience! :thumbsup2
Mary Rose, makes me want to go and bring a smoothie maker with me (not much point to be honest, would need an extra volt thingy too!). :sunny: And it's really nice of you to bring the glow necklaces, I know one child who'll love them!! Thanks so much..
Shirley, you can tell Alison that I am a Beckham fan too (though not really because of the soccer ;) ).
Ed, I give you the Father of the Board Award... what a lovely present to give to your daughter... All round good guy!
Julie, I challenge you to read all of the 484 pages so far, I have learnt loads from them!
Have a nice evening everyone... Moira.
Got to say I am not a football supporter but if its the countrys team you have to support, what do you say, they won! They are through, they played a bit better than previous games.
Its like Wimbledon, it starts tommorrow here in London, I do not usually follow tennis but if its in London and anyone form our country is actually in I will watch if I can.
England play either Portugal or Holland next Saturday.
I've been a "football widow" ever since our cable company started offering the Fox international sports channel. So now DH can get his soccer fix 24/7.
The weather in Germany sounds brutal to play soccer - hot and humid.
I loved when the World Cup was in the US.
A year ago I took my kids into Manhattan for a matinee of the Lion King on Broadway then toy shopping. We spent several hours at the Toys R Us in Times Square. But no Disney Store visit - we had to go to the Pokemon Store.
It was just me and the kids and I couldn't find the Pokemon store so I was saying out loud to my kids, "I can't find 10 Rockefeller Center" and some nice gentleman passing by told us to go over one more block. Sure enough - there was the store.
Boy, did we do a lot of walking that day. You could barely move on the sidewalks near Times Square.
Moria........Alli and I both think Beckham is fun to watch play for more than his soocer skills. :thumbsup2 We did get to see his goal before we headed out today for my DD's game. It was a nice goal. Classic Beckham.
Well S&S - here's your sister! However, DH in Germany at the moment but I am still watching football... obviously it has rubbed off! DH says that I would love Times Square and the buildings... no skyscrapers in Ireland so seemingly all the Irish go to New York and spend the first hour staring up to the sky! :rotfl2:
Andrew Yes, would agree that you have to support home team.. AND I LOVE wimbledon... think it is the best sporting event of the year... it is just so interesting.. one of these days I am going to go! :moped:
Jen, got MP3 working... still not sure of the make other than Creative Zen but it is brill! Thanks for your advice on this one! Have four CD's ripped (yes learning the terminology) so far... it can hold 500 songs... How is the camera going??
Bye for now...M. :sunny:
