Ok all you 20 lb. clippie holders, this is a thread for YOU! Your committed to your plan and are successfully losing weight! Let's hear how you are doing it! What has made you successful and what have you found that doesn't work? How much have you lost so far and how close are you to that next clippie? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

As for me, this is my ninth week on WW and I have lost 21 lbs so far. I started at 264 and want to get to 130. I am finding that the WW plan works for me because I like the flexibility! What has really amazed me is that I haven't felt deprived or overly hungry. I think that has helped me to stay on the plan! My biggest hurdle is exercise--I hate it! But thanks to my good friend Tara, I am getting with the program. No more excuses! I am alternating doing my treadmill and the 1 mile WATP tape. For the last 2 weeks I have been on a plateau, but I hope the extra exercise will give me a bump this week!

Well, that's me. Now let's hear from you!!! Onward and Downward, my Wish friends!

Great Job Mowsie Dreamer!! Ok--here goes--I started at 200#, (5'8") and want to lose 55 pounds. I started the Atkins plan on 6/16 and have lost 21 pounds. period. I too have been stuck in a rut. I am still in ketosis, which is good. I also enjoy Atkins because of the energy I have now, and when I sit down to eat, I know I am doing something good for myself, and that feels good!
I have a hurdle with exercise, too! I find every excuse NOT to do it, so now I need to work on switching my thinking over to what will it cost me if I don't exercise...My DH is awesome support for me, he'll motivate me to walk with him after dinner, and he is always bragging about my determination! That feels great, too!!!

Way to go, Beastlover! You are almost at the 1/2 mark! These plateaus are the pits, aren't they? I'm convinced, though, that every now and then our bodies need to stop & rest a while from losing weight. It's probably good for our bodies--but soooo frustrating at times. I have to pat your DH on the back, too! I know his support means so much to you!

While you are changing your thinking on exercise, be sure to include what it WILL do for you, as well as what it will cost to not do it! Since I have been making that extra effort to exercise this week, I have busted my plateau! I am now officially 2 lbs. lighter!
It will work for you, too!!! I know you can do it!!!

Just wanted to say YOU GUYS ROCK! What a committed bunch of loosers! Your gonna be getting you next clippee in no time. I have found that when i hit a platueu (only once thank goodness) i started journaling again and found my carb intake was higher than it use to be. Once i corrected that in two days i was loosing again! So it's great to journal and always look at where the foods are taking you that you eat. So i am committed to journaling my next 33 lbs to GOAL i sure hope you guys take the time to do that for yourselves. I recommend www.fitday.com it's free and you'll love the graphs and also you can weight in there and it has a graph that moves a dot along for you and tells you what you have to loose per week to meet the goal weight and date you have enter and you can always play with it and change it around as you get closer to goal. Good Luck guys.

Hi guys,

I started Atkins in Mid May and have lost 21.5 lbs.

I have also been sitting on a plateau for over two weeks and need to kick my exercise into gear. I have the WATP DVD and a treadmill in my bedroom. I think I am going to e-mail and ask for the 13 week program. I have about 15 weeks to my cruise, so it would really help.

I need to do something to kickstart so I guess I need to journal also.

Glad to meet all of you and I hope we can soon be a part of a 25 lb. clippie thread!

Beverly

Tammy-
Thanks for the info--I will definately check it out!!! Great job on the clippie!! I know how much work you put into it!!

Maybe we should set a mini goal for that 25 pound clippie!! I have 4 to go for then, Aug. 11th? Aug. 4th? What do you think??

Well I have the 25lb. clippie but as of this past weeks' weigh-in I was only down 22 since I gained a little of my loss back recently.

I have been on WW since 3/31/03. I have all of my old program materials and have been doing the program on my own. The last two months I have pretty much been stalled (total loss of about 1/2 pound since late May) but I am determined to break this rut and get back to it.

This week I finally feel more committed again. I have not given in to my temptations and I think it is making a difference. :) I feel much more positive about WW again. I still have 8 pounds to go to get my 30 pound clippie. I would love to get it by August but that may been pretty difficult.

Tammy-- You are so right about the journaling, it really helps. If I know I'm going to have to write it down, I really think twice about eating it! Also, it helps me see patterns in what I am eating. I set up an acct at Fitday, but I haven't been posting to it regularly. I think I'm going to start doing that every day and see what it tells me!

Beverly-a cruise sound like fun! I know that you will be off that plateau and on the next clippie well before that cruise. It's beginning to look like a trend to plateau at 21 pounds! Maybe that happens to lots of people??? We are not going to take this laying down, are we??? No sir, we are going to take this on our treadmills and walk it off!

Becka-Congratulations on your re-committment! There are so many good things to tempt us, but the good thing about WW is that you can work some of them in to your daily allowance. I think that's part of what has kept me on the program--I don't have to feel deprived of everything! I'll bet you will have your 30 lb clippie soon! Probably not by the 1st of August, but sometime mid-August for sure! Oh, and give Nathan a hug for me!! He is such a cutie!!!

Beastlover- great idea for the mini-goal! Let's try for August 4!! That may be a little optimistic, but if we work hard and EXERCISE every day, we can do it!

Any one else up for the mini-goal???? We could all go on to a 25 clippie thread together! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

ONWARD AND DOWNWARD!

Count me in for mini-goal.

We have family reunion on August 9th and I would love to be able to say I have lost 25 lbs. Even then will still have 83.5 to go, but it is a great start.

Right now started on new antibiotic on Monday and that seems to be stalling everything (also TOM). Started counting everything again this a.m. on Fitday. Seems I have to assess calories as well as carbs if I want to lose.

Still need to figure out dinner for tonight (horror of horrors). DH has to work so I may just order dinner from Club for me and kids. Then they can have crap and I can have fish and salad. Good on calories and good on carbs. I'll probably add a little dry bleu cheese so it is also great on taste!

Let's try to check in most days and see how everyone is doing!

Mowsedreamer--
I am in for Aug. 4th-our 25 lb. clippie!!! We can do it!!! Anybody positive enough to join in???
Becka-
How about a 25 pound clippie by Aug. 4th!! Come on!!!
disneyeveryyear--
you too!!! Get that 25 pounds off your back for the reunion!!

My motivation is a surgery on the 6th, so if I can hit a goal by then, maybe maintenance during recovery will keep me somewhat on track!!!

Onward and downward!!!! I want to go to the clippie room!!!

We are all going to visit that clippie room on August 4, Beastlover! Count on it! And when we get there, we will sing your song.....
In the clippie, clippie, clippie, clippie, clippie room..... as we download our new clippies!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Congradulations Mowsie on setting up a fitday account now we just have to USE it. But i'm willing to if you guys are. I started back monday this week journaling faithfully again. Trying to get my last 1/3 off for GOAL. I loss my first 40 that way and i've lost since but i also had a stall in between so i am geared up and ready to hit goal by Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!! Only 33 more to go!!! Sounds like you girls have a plan to fatten your clippee by 5 in two and half weeks. That is sooo doable!!!!!!!! Remember drink your water even if you don't exercise like you plan or should drink that water consistantly not off then on. Make a goal to get all you can stand into a day with no caffinnie and things will ROCK for you. I'll be keeping a close eye out if i can help you guys any.

Thanks PartyofSix!!! You can be our cheerleader.....we'll even let you dance with us!!!!

In the clippie clippie clippie clippie clippie room......

I am game!!! I still am not ready to post what my start weight was but I look froward to the day I am comfortable doing that. Even my dh does not know!! I have lost 23 pounds since joining WISH and the Atkins program. I hope to reach for a new clippie either this week or next week. Sorry ya'll but I don't plan on staying in this group for very long!!!:teeth:

That's right...we will all move on to the 30 pound clippie club soon!!!

I will do a little clippie dance for all of us.....

we will make good choices.....
we will exercise.....
~~~***~~~***~~~***~~~***~~~
we will feel good about ourselves.....
we will win the prize.....
~~~***~~~***~~~***~~~***~~~

how's that!!!

I'm glad you said that about the water, Tammy. I was sitting here at my desk without any and I immediately got up and got some. You are sooooo right about water being important. The week I was on vacation, I was not good about drinking my water and that is the week that my stall began. I'm convinced that was a big part of it. I can't wait until you hit goal at Thanksgiving! We will all do a little goal clippie dance for you!

Mum4Jen- 23 lbs!!! Way to go!! Don't worry about posting your start weight--what comes off is what is really important! I'm glad you're joining us on the 20 lb clippie thread, even for a short while. I think all of us plan to "graduate" to the next level ASAP! I don't think there is a 25 lb thread yet! How about starting one for us when you get there?

Beastlover- I love your little clippie dance!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc Very catchy! I think I could dance to that! Could I add a verse?

we will make good choices.....
we will exercise.....
~~~***~~~***~~~***~~~***~~~
we will feel good about ourselves.....
we will win the prize.....
~~~***~~~***~~~***~~~***~~~
we will do it, we know we can.....
just watch us shrink in size......
~~~***~~~***~~~***~~~***~~~
Onward and Downward!
WOW!! Now THAT was fun!!!
Have a great day!!!
~~~~*****~~~~~****

Just stopped by to check in.

How is everyone's weekend going?

I completed day 3 of my exercise campaign today, on my way to 15 weeks (thanks for the motivation Kamy!).

I weighed in this morning, down 22.5 lbs, and then I measured, down 27.75 inches.

This was a lot of motivation to stay on track.

Only problem is my calves are starting to be sore in the front. I am hoping it is just from new exercise and not the beginning of shin splints:confused: .

I hope to hear from you all tomorrow.

disneyeveryyear-
I noticed the fronts of my calves would get sore, almost crampy when I would not stretch or warm up a little. Usually happens when I don't walk for a while. If it wasn't that, it was my older shoes, or even the way I was tensing up my ankles and feet while walking. You should be rid of that 2.5 pounds by Aug. 4th-no problem!!!
My weekend is going well, today is my bday, so I made the "beachgirls cheesecake". Two words for you....YUM-MIE!!! We went to TGI Fridays for dinner, and I did well, SF iced tea, caesar salad, and the chicken in cheese and veggies. I had them hold the spuds and give me more veggies. It was nummers!! I did my Zumba this am and walked 1.5 miles tonite. So far, so good. Tomorrow is a cookout at brother's house, and I am bringing a caesar salad to pass.
Great to hear from you!!!
Have a great weekend and keep up the great job!!!;)

Beverly-- Woo Hoo!!! You are doing great. You will be changing to that 25 pound clippie before you know it! When we see all those pounds and inches lost it IS a a lot of motivation to stay on track! The exercise plan sound great too! I hope that Beastlover's stretching suggestion works for you and you are able to avoid shin splints.

Beastlover-- You ROCK!! It was your birthday and you were good and didn't even eat cake???? Way to go!! Sounds like you have a good plan for the cookout, too! It's always great to have a plan!

Well, I have to say that I took a giant step forward in will power yesterday. We went to my MIL's house for dinner and she made a chocolate cake w/cream cheese icing. (MMMMMMMM, Chocolate!)
My DH asked me to cut him a piece (cruel man) and I didn't have any!!! There was no way that I was going to waste a whole week of dieting and exercise for one crummy piece of cake! It's a small victory, but lots of small ones will add up to a big, big loss!

Hope things are going well for all of you this weekend! See you all tomorrow!
