California raises tuitions 32%

Honestly, you don't know what you're talking about. This budget crunch has nothing whatsoever to do with "liberal policies". And there's nothing liberal per se about the University of California system, other than it's more attractive to people who can't afford a private college.

I disagree.
There is nothing 'liberal' about the UC system?
First off, not in relation to politics, there is no one elected at the University level that I am aware of.
But not removing kids sitting in trees.

At a cost of close to 12 MILLION Dollars.....

certainly seems a little liberal per se
Perhaps other peoples money could have been spent more effectively, no?

It just makes me appreciate the cost of attending school back in C when I did and how cheap it was. Affordable and the lowest cost in the nation was a good thing. When I attended school at the community college level I paid $11 per unit, between 1997-2001. Rather nice huh! Even graduating from San Jose State University in 2003 I thought that I was getting a bargin at around $5k or so per year.

I pay over $9,000 for tuition alone where I go to school (University of Cincinnati). I am in state. $10,000 something isn't bad for California.

Maybe California schools should use taxpayer dollars to fund classes other than

Arguing with Judge Judy: Popular ‘Logic’ on TV Judge Shows @ Berkeley
The Simpsons and Philiosophy @ Berkeley
The Strategy of StarCraft @ Berkeley
The Science of Superheroes @ Irvine
or
Underwater Basket Weaving @ San Diego

My son's friend who are not even citizens parent's clean houses..get paid under the table and own two pieces of property..well they only pay 125.oo per semester. But then I live in good old liberal Mass where they stick it to the working stiff and kiss the you know what of everyone else.

Why don't you report them?

And look,
Berkeley just got 65 Million dollars in stimulus funds for research ...

All to go for such mainstream projects like .....
The Black Panther Oral History and Papers Project intends to collect, index, and annotate a complete set of the Black Panther Newspaper issues published from 1967–1980.
And the students are complaining that it costs more to got school?

Underwater Basket Weaving @ San Diego[/I]

As a UCSD alum I had to look this one up. First, it was offered 20 years ago, second, it was a rec class. That would be a no credit, do something fun and pay extra for it, kind of class. On par with recreational tennis or photography or dance.

The UC system is one of the best around for the money, even taking the latest increase into account.
