I had it once because I thought it was mushrooms in a salad - honestly, I couldn't really taste it, because there was so much dressing on it - but once I found out what it was - ewwwwwwww!!!!!

Yum, LOVE it. Went for dinner with my whole family (my mom's 75th birthday party) over the weekend, and we had some for appetizers. My sister won't touch it, but my DH told her 5 yr old son it was little onion rings - he loved it too, and ate the rest of the ones on the plate!

I love it, especially raw with Hawaiian seasonings and eaten with poi.

I grew up eating it that way, though... that's from my Polynesian roots.

Well you'd be hard pressed to find a restaurant around here without serving fried calamari. I'm not sure exactly how much the state consumes - just know people in the industry that run the stats.

DisneyBlonde- you can order calamari and manicotti here by pronouncing it correctly and people know what you're talking about. DH was amazed when we moved here because he thought I was making it up
