brought back a long forgotten memory of making a Croquembouche !
many years ago we saw on a cooking show about making one. pile up home made creampuffs & drizzle on the spun/drippy sugar stuff.
looked really cool. so we decided to make a practice one before the christmas family event.
we didn't think the 'cream' would hold up insides, so we just piled up the puffs & went to drizzling. looked spectacular, really...... until......... we tried to pull the puffs off. it was stuck so hard with the drizzling you could not get ONE stinking puffs off! a solid mass it was..... we just died laughing.
ok, maybe you had to be there, but I sure wouldn't recommend making one
I am sitting here with tears running down my face and attempting to silently at the photos and comments on this blog. Which is not a good thing at work...
