Cake Pricing Sheet

Thank you so much for posting this. I just ordered it for my DD's birthday.

You're welcome! Your dd will love it! Mine had a fit! There was nothing like walking in to a Mickey and friends birthday banner and all of the other decorations! :thumbsup2

I guess this means no anniversary celebration cake at dinner either? It's not like it is a big fancy cake, but just the recognition of a special celebration is nice.

I booked a trip yesterday and when I mentioned it was a 10th anny trip, the CM noted a celebration cake for the first night at dinner and I thought he said there was no charge as with previous sailings.

I just logged into this reservation and in the "special requests" area, there is a list of birthday, anniversary, honeymoon celebrations (I think there were a couple other) but there is a note that says its indeed complimentary and delivered at dinner on the first night unless you call to request a different night. You can add it online without having to call.

My parents celebrated their anniversary last week on our cruise during one of our dining rotation. They received only a small dessert (about the size of a lava cake) for both of them. It was no charge. It was not the same as the white cake with a chocolate piece on top as our previous sailing.

Ok, so I have asked 3 people to do this and Johnna who has the orginal picture from our cruise has not done it, so I guess my slow clueless tail will try.

Ok so that did not work, but did learn how to do my entire photobucket album... Gesh!

YES, we noted our reservation, Yes we spoke to our Server and HS. We were told because near 70% of cruisers had SOMEONE in the party celebrating a special occassion on the cruise, it made for a lot of extra work. He went on to say, how there were many people who would note celebrations for birthdays and anniversaries as far out as 4 months and how that makes for a lot of celebrations. He apologized and still gave us the form. Even though I have now celebrated my actual birthday on the ship 3 times and once we renewed our vows on our ACTUAL 10th (The EXACT day) of our 10th Anniversary:cool1: I have gotton many versions of FREE Cakes. The jello like one, the real cake and now this mousse scoop. Our HS went on to say, since DISNEY does not say no to particular people, they just had to stop it for all. He informed us last month, we were only the 2nd sailing that the new policy went into effect for.

We did not order the cake, not to be cheap, but just because they told me they could make it allergy sensative, but eggs were not listed as one they could do. Nuts, dairy, gluten but not eggs. So we passed on the ordering.

Now our previous cruise our HS totally spoiled us. On the actual night of my birthday, he brought a cake to the table that was egg free. The problem is, DH and I were not at dinner that night, we went to Palo instead. There were 16 of us at the table, so I did not think we would be missed.;) So the very next night (the night after my actual birthday) he arranged to have another brought to the table. I cried!!! It was sooooo special. It was the first time DD and I actually could share in a cake together; that I did not have to make. :cloud9::lovestruc So this time, I just took the scoop of mousse and chalked it up to abuse of special perks that DCL once gave. I did write on the comment card that maybe they could limit the free real cakes to people celebrating a birthday within 7 days prior or 7 days after a cruise date. They know our birthdays after all. This would lessen the request. I do realize as stated here many times before when people ask; "What do they do for birthdays"; that many many people celebrate birthdays on the cruise. I swear each night at dinner the staff sings Happy Birthday at least 8 - 10 times.

You would be suprise at how many Birthday Pillowcase Request I get. I know it has to be close to 60% have "It's my Daughter/Son's Birthday Cruise". So I guess I understand the change.:hippie:

Post 6 was quoting the in-room birthday package that includes a cake and decorations. The original poster and I are waiting for a rumored new list for dining room birthday cakes. There used to be a free birthday cake served in the dinining room for the table. Now we are hearing that they are no longer free.

I hope those post help... Sorry it took so long, was just waiting on someonee to do it for me.... I will try to resize the form. I may need the lady who took it to mail it to me instead of FB. Maybe then it will be bigger and more clear. Maybe she will actually come and post it. I just wanted you to get the info so you are not thinking I am the slacker....
We were on the Magic BTW!

Thank you very, very, very much. I appreciate you taking the time to try and get someone to post the pic, posting them and then writing it all out for us. This is all very helpful.

We are celebrating my daughters 8th birthday onboard on the 19th, her actual birthday. I guess we will be getting the Mikey Mouse cake as we want to share with our table of 12. Too bad there are no pictures of that cake.

I guess I will go to Guest Services on the first day and order the cake. Glad I know so we can plan for the $48.

atinkerbellmom you are the first person to bring this to the boards attention. Love the boards for all of this last minute information. I bet there is going to be some confusion for a while.

I will copy your post for my meet thread so they all know too. I know we have several birthdays being celebrated.

Thank You SO much. It does help a lot. Do you know who we order the cake with? I assume our server? Correct? :woohoo::worship:

Correct. Get the sheet from your server the first night. If you want a cake the first night, then you will have to go with the celebration package everyone else was talking about. Any of the ones I posted are available nights 2-last night through your Server. The price is added to your ship board account. Happy that helps you all....

can you order one of these before you cruise? what is the Mickey cake

I do not know what the Mickey Cake looks like. I am assuming it is just a cake shapped like Mickey. There is no need to pre-order it as it is noted you only need a 24 hr notice. So just wait until you get to the ship.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the heads up and the info! Looks like I will be busy as it is both my sister's 20th anniversary and my parents 57th while we are cruising next month and I know at least my Mom is expecting a cake.
Sorry this was abused to the point where they don't do complimentry cakes anymore. I know that Carnival stopped them before 2004, as I had to buy a cake that cruise for my parents 50th.
Just a thought when we did the galley tour on the Magic in 2009, one of the chefs told us to go ahead and order birthday cakes because everyone has a birthday.:confused3

Has anyone gotten the Mickey cake and would like to post a picture?

One more questions, we have two families - 3 girls - that have b-days about 1 month apart. I was going to order a cake (since the cruise is their party this year) but need to know when they bring it to the table. We are a late seating and the kids are going to do the "quick meal" and go back to the club to play. Do you think we could request the cake to come at the end of their meal and not the adults?

TIA.
