Take a copy of your shopping bag showing the $14.99 sale price - I just called a store closer to my mom to see if they'll put 2 aside for her. The lady said they were on sale for $24.99 and were $14.99 after rebate. They should match the $14.99 in store if you can prove it's that price online.

First - many thanks to the OP for the head's up...and frustration

I've been wanting one of these for myself and when I read this yesterday afternoon, I was so excited. Like many of you - not available online. I decided to go to the store and they didn't have any out. I asked and sure enough, they had some in the back so I picked up three. Another lady walked by at the perfect time as she grabbed the last one he had just brought out. She got to the register first and was already trying to explain to them it was $14.99, not $24.99. I chimed in with her, politely showing my print out from online and the manager said he couldn't let us have it for $4.99 with the rebate coming. He wasn't friendly about it at all. He was nice and decided to give us each 30% off, instead of 20% so I was grateful and left with the three.

I thought about it more driving home and it just didn't feel right. I'm certainly not the type to take advantage of a situation, however it was clearly advertised online for $14.99 and had I bought them online, it would have been $14.99. Kohls is one of the few places (I think) that has the same price online and in the stores - they've always told me this too. I decided to call customer service and while she agreed with me on most accounts, she said she couldn't do anything about it. She advised me - not sure if it's true or not - the *store* price of $14.99 was only good in two states - CT and RI, however those states didn't get the $10 rebate. The online price was phenomenal and she said if it lets people order them, the orders will likely be cancelled. I hope that's not true for many of you.

She restated it is their policy to honor their online price, however she claimed this was a special online deal only. No where does it state this and I do believe they should honor this. The rebate is ONLY good yesterday and today so tomorrow it will still be $24.99 in the stores - nothing will change!

I just wish I could order online and then return what I have. I'm so ready to make some goodies and give them away as extra presents but I don't want to open the boxes just quite yet.

Just letting everyone know that if you submit the rebate do not get your hopes up to get the ten bucks back. Kohls noticed their problem and since its an store issued rebate they CAN refuse to give it to you.

I spoke with a manager in the online dept. I was letting her know the issues of the price being mentioned at the cashiers and the stores not wanting to honor the price. It is a sale throughout the us. They are suppose to honor the price online. I asked if they could put a message at the cashiers stand letting everyone the sale price. I dont know how good it will do. She said she would try to work on this. I let her know alot of your frustrations and not being able to order online and then going to the store. She said one person called the store and requested they hold all 50 to buy, and other customers waited around to see if this person came in to get them. I said maybe they ought to not let people buy over so many so other people can have a chance. I am sorry you ladies are having a rough time. I really dont need one. But I was on the phone with the lady for about 45 minutes.

After seeing this thread I called my local store...they had 74 in stock she said. So I ran there at lunch (after polling my coworkers to see who wanted one LOL). The electronic price tag said $14.99. That's also what they rang up at. I didn't have my flyer, but the clerk said she'd give me 20% off if I used my Kohl's charge, which I was planning to do. Each rang up $12.75 after discount (that includes tax). I am in Connecticut, and the orders came up with rebate receipts and they don't say anywhere on them that CT is excluded. Also, the rebate form posted here does NOT exclude CT in any way. It says it's good in the USA.

I'm sorry some of you have had such frustration with this! But OP, thank you so much for posting!!

I can only speak for myself here but i am anything but "sour" or a "negative nelly" i simply posted what the man from Kohl's customer service (the company, not my store) said on the phone about the orders being in the process of being cancelled and as i mention in my post I wasn't sure how valid that really was or if he was just trying to come up with reasons why he wasn't going to sell it to us for that price. I bought one in the store and after my rebate at 20% off it will be $10 and that's good enough for me (obviously $2 would have been great - but i'm not going to be greedy). I posted what the man said so that no1 would miss out on what was still going to be a good deal since the receipts have to have today or yesterdays date on them for the rebate to be valid. I didn't want any one to think they had a product and then be told they were going to cancel it - especially if someone is giving it as a gift. I went through that with JC Penny on black friday, the had the rebates for the donut makers and cake pop machines - i ordered them both online, no problems. A little over a week later i checked the status because it was taking a long time to ship just to find out it was back-ordered til JANUARY! the rebate had to be mailed in by Dec 18th! They didn't e-mail or call - if I didn't check I would have been out of luck. I'm a bit offended that my intentions are being questioned over something so silly.

After reading so many stories of the online price not being honored, I decided to run to Kohl's on my lunch break. I had posted earlier about the gentleman working in housewares putting 2 aside for me to pick up later. After I had talked to him, I found someone else who wanted 2 so I headed to housewares as soon as I got to Kohl's. They had aout 8 left on the shelf - I grabbed 2 and headed to cust svc to grab the 2 set aside for me. Got them and went to check out.

They rang up at $24.99 and I got the same song as many others here - it's $14.99 after the rebate. I was prepared as I brought along the copy of the item online showing the SALE price (not "after rebate" price) was $14.99. She suggested that I buy it online and sent me back to housewares to order it via in-store kiosk. Well, I knew darned well that it wasn't available online anymore but I did go back and poke around on the kiosk.

Then I got angry. There is NOTHING online stating that the $14.99 was an online only price. There is NOTHING stating that the $14.99 was the final price after the rebate. Darn it - I'm taking it further. So off to the Customer Service desk I went.

I was curteous. I was calm. Showed them the copy. Told them it's not even showing up on the kiosk. Showed them that it states "sale price" not "after rebate"..... it took a few minutes but they rang them through at $14.99.

I bought 4 - 2 for me & 2 for my DB & his 3 kiddos.

Who are you referring to? I've seen nothing but helpful posts. I, like others, only posted what Kohls told me and I doubt 100% is true, however if I withheld that info and then later found out some things didn't happen they way they should, I'd feel bad.

No sour grapes here - I got an awesome deal on three of them and I'm grateful for what I have!
