Well that’s a huge part of & affects the whole bill paying process here. So as I said, IMO, they’re not comparable experiences.

Interesting! Yeah, Saturday the server presented the device to me, screen had the total (and maybe I could have scrolled through itemized details, not sure about that). I tapped my card, it prompted with 20%, 23%, or 25% tip options (or a smaller button to customize), all while he hovered over me. Call me old school and not open to change, but your experience is what I expect at a ‘signature’ dinner.

I prefer to leave the tip in cash. How do that with the machine?

Did I miss the launch of Cake Bake on MDE? Nothing is available for all my days in late December.

No not yet tomorrow is the day based on this next quote from @reluctantredhead

I was told that now they're only taking phone reservations for 7 days out because as of tomorrow, reservations will be available on MDE.

So check back after 6 - 7 AM ET on November 12th, and maybe Disney IT and CBS will have loaded something in MDE.

ETA: add ET to times... removed day and date as it has not happened...

Given that you were able to get a reservation for 12/11, I just called back to see if I could get one, since I'll be at WDW at the same time as you. I was told that now they're only taking phone reservations for 7 days out because as of tomorrow, reservations will be available on MDE. I questioned this, saying that I called on Saturday and was told they were booking 25 days out, and she just repeated that as of tomorrow they'll be on MDE. Growing pains I guess...and I guess I'm getting up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to try to get a reservation!

I’m glad I was able to make the 2 reservations by phone but I was not given any kind of confirmation…no text or email. I’m sure I was told I would receive a text but so far nothing!

It is the server hovering that I don't like. Machine at the table is the norm here in my part of Ontario. No matter the level of the restaurant. It is just unacceptable here to have your card out of sight same as in Europe. Good servers leave the machine with you and go do something else while you do the stuff. Bad hover. Hate that.

Y'all would clutch your pearls having to get up from the table and head to the bar to pay for your fine dining experience which was my experience at multiple places in NZ/Australia.

Nope and I saw someone posted that you would be able to make reservations on MDE this morning but I just checked and Bake Shop is still not showing up there .

While there has been progress in adding CBS to the Disney Dining Ecosystem. The scaffolding is loaded just no dates. It look like the information that @reluctantredhead got over the phone about CBS reservations coming to MDE is indeed correct but with most things it is not quite Cooked as of now.

Allears.net shows the high end tea (with caviar) for 150 for 2 people, or 184 for two people with a glass of champagne. Regular tea (what Cake Bake Shop is serving) shows 50 per person. Not sure how up to date their pricing was before closure.

GF last had Afternoon Tea in 2019-2020 before COVID 19. Pricing for basic tea service was $50 or $67 with Champagne per person. The full tea experience with Caviar was $150 or $184 with Champagne for (2).
