Cake Bake Shop at the BoardWalk is now open

According to the manager I’ve been emailing regarding my tea contract, their afternoon tea is traditionally held in their patio space. I requested to have our tea in the main dining room with the carousel. She said she’d check on it but I haven’t heard back.
Are her initials L.T.? If so perhaps she’s ill; hasn’t answered my emails as of 11/13.

Last week, I tried to leave a voicemail and return number for a reservation but didnʻt hear back. I may have sent an email too. What worked for me was Open Table stalking. I was so frustrated when I would try MDE and people would report OT worked and vice versa as I was going bonkers keeping up. I have been trying every few days...

We had breakfast there last week. We were staying at BC and saw that they were only doing walk-ups and thought we'd take a flyer on it. Waited maybe 15 minutes to be called. I had the Croque Madame and DH had the crab cakes benedict. I had been a bit skeptical about whether or not the food warranted the price but I have to say that it was absolutely delicious. My Croque Madame had probably an inch's worth of thinly sliced ham that almost melted in your mouth it was so thin and delicate. The dressing on the salad was clearly made with fresh lemons. I was pretty stuffed by the end as the portions are generous but we decided to split the key lime pie. I probably could have eaten the whole thing myself because it was so light and airy and a bit tart (I hate really sweet key lime pie). We were quite happy with what we ordered and I'd do it again.

I assume this place accepts Magic Band payments like other Disney restaurants? I don't carry my credit card on Disney property.
Yes, I paid with my MB.

Yeah, Saturday the server presented the device to me, screen had the total (and maybe I could have scrolled through itemized details, not sure about that). I tapped my card, it prompted with 20%, 23%, or 25% tip options (or a smaller button to customize), all while he hovered over me.
That's the way it's been done in Ontario for years though you usually get an itemized bill first. Usually, the server will step back a distance, which I don't particularly consider hovering - they really shouldn't be close enough to you to see the transaction taking place or it is "hovering" IMO - or will walk a short distance away, but where they can see when you've finished with it. I find it really weird and uncomfortable that restaurants in the US take your credit card away - I have no idea if someone is doing something with it or if it might accidentally get switched with someone else's, or they forget to bring it back. I much prefer to have the machine in my hands and the credit card never leaves the table or my view.

We tried this morning. We wanted to go for It first coffee cake and coffee. We were told we couldn’t park without an adr. We said we were gonna go to the bakery. We were told to go to Disney Springs and take a bus back to the boardwalk. We went to Celebration for breakfast.
I’m local and had been parking at Boardwalk all the time in the evenings. Even parked there the day after Xmas 2023. Since late October I haven’t been allowed to park there unless I have dining reservations. I was also told to park at Disney Springs and take a bus over. I’m not going to do that. It’s always the same guy working who has denied me parking so not sure if he’s strict and the rest of the guards aren’t.

Forgive me if this has been asked. Does anyone know if they give the Disney Visa discount? I’ve heard that they do, but not sure as to the truth of it.

Just saw a review and in case you were wanting to, you can’t order a full cake onsite. You have to order it online and it will ship 10 mins away to the offsite location where you can pickup.

And things just keep changing. Just checked Open Table. Booking there is now available 1 month out, going to December 18. Just checked a few random days & looks pretty wide open. Including for parties of 2 that were not available any time I checked before. And I checked the same dates in MDE, no ADRs available for any of the dates I checked.

Probably not for the afternoon tea.
They sell CBS Gift Cards because my daughter just sent me a pretty wrapped box from them. I haven’t opened my gift yet but they included the invoice and it says Cake Bake Shop Gift Card and she requested they wait until the end of the month which they agreed to and they already sent it . My bday is 11/30 .
I will act surprised when I thank her.

Well it looks like CBS is splitting their reservation inventory between the Disney ADR list and Open Table.

From the website

Afternoon Tea is booked as a private event and gift cards are not redeemable for this experience.

I'd be surprised if they accepted Disney gift cards for afternoon tea

Just looked again. And now no reservations are showing at all on OT, for party of 2 or 4. Not even back to a week only. Checking ranges on Disney site, found 1 ADR spot each for breakfast, lunch & late dinner time on December 17. That’s all that’s showing at all.

We all know every 1 of those 30 days of spots didn’t get booked up in less than 9 hours. Looks like luck of the draw when you happen to check for a reservation. Just keep checking both because they’re all over the place.
