Yes but are the sodas still $8.00 a pop?![]()
At the car dealership- "Well the undercoating is only 2k." "I don't need an undercoating, and that's too much money." "Ok we'll do the undercoating for 1k." "Deal!"

And the person saying "hold my beer" usually does something that gets them injured, arrested, etc.lolThe best I can explain is this, and I'm using Men as the example because frankly that's where it started from, not as some kind of chauvinistic post
Example:
A bunch of dudes are sitting around having "Bro Time" and drinking beer. Guy 1 decides to tell a story or show how he can do something super athletic. Guy 2 decides he will be a "one upper" and try to outperform or out tell guy 1's story or his feat of super athletic ability. Guy 2 starts out by saying to another guy: "Hold my Beer" as he prepares to one up....
It's basically saying "hold my beer while I prepare to wow you all....."
The cries of the vacationers were heard.Wow, big price drop…..too funny
Now let’s be fair….some of the drinks are now a dollar AND a penny lessWow, I've really changed my mind now that most prices are a penny less than they were yesterday... or wait, a dollar or two MORE as well!
Are you telling me there’s a Grey Goose slushy in World Showcase for less than $25?What about the Frose @ $24.99? $15 extra if you want he souvenir golden goblet. Makes the grey goose slushie in WS seem like a bargain.
I can't imagine ever buying a $24 cake slice. Plus tax.
Updated with full menu of price changes, written out by WDW News:The Cake Bake Shop Lowers Prices After Viral Outcry
The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers at Disney’s BoardWalk lowered the prices of most items following the viral outcry over its menu online.
The Cake Bake Shop lowered its prices after outcry online over its price point while being located at Walt Disney World. Though not open to the public yet, The Cake Bake Shop can be found on Disney’s BoardWalk.
When construction walls came down in early October, the initial menu and priceswere revealed for the new restaurant and bakery — leaving many Disney fans and locals shocked at the price point. As an example, these prices include $23 for an egg sandwich, cake slices for $26 each, and a $32 burger with pommes frites. Even a slice of toast was priced at $4.
There is no set opening date for The Cake Bake Shop at this time, though the restaurant continues to host private preview events for invited guests only.
The Cake Bake Shop has two other locations, both in Indiana. However, pricing for the same items across menus for those locations indicated that items are actually cheaper than they would be at Walt Disney World. For example, the Pesto Burrata found on the menu at both the Broad Ripple Village and Carmel City Center locations is priced at $28, while the dish was $34 at Disney’s BoardWalk.
As of October 22, the bakery and restaurant menus have been changed out for new ones featuring (mostly) lower prices. The Besto Burrata is now listed at $28.99. Stay tuned for a more thorough look at the changes.
A handful of menu items actually increased in price. The Pixie Fetti Birthday Cake, Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Roll Cake, and Pumpkin Chocolate Cake each went from $22 to $22.99.

Items with crab cakes included have all gone down in price…wonder if the master recipe has been changed or the food purveyor specs changed?
Last time I got one it was around $17! Now it is $25?Are you telling me there’s a Grey Goose slushy in World Showcase for less than $25?![]()
I find this turn of events FASCINATING (purely from a curiosity perspective). The change from whole dollar prices to the ".99" model. The outright removal of some of the most expensive menu items (charcuterie plate, steak). The drastic decrease in certain menu items (the croissant from $12 to $6, the kids menu items, etc), are they now accepting a tighter margin/loss leader on certain things or was the markup just that crazy to begin with?
I would love to know if they intentionally released the first menu expecting to get pushback and wanted to show they "listened", or if this was a quick adjustment after unexpected backlash.
Or the cries of their test subjects at these private openings were heard...The cries of the vacationers were heard.![]()
My absolute favorite part of this is the items that dropped $.01. My second favorite part is pricing switching to $.99. It's like someone just had a sudden realization they're actually gonna have to try!Wow, I've really changed my mind now that most prices are a penny less than they were yesterday... or wait, a dollar or two MORE as well!
That's my guess too. The trial run presumably included some surveys, and they may have turned up a consistent "yeah, I would not come back for these prices."Or the cries of their test subjects at these private openings were heard...
