New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

Which credit agency do you need to lift your freeze from before applying? TransUnion, Equifax, or Experian?
Chase will only hit one so there is no reason not to lift all of them unless you’re attempting to force them into a specific one (idk if they allow that or insist on a specific one, been awhile since I danced with Chase!).

… I already called to have my Premier card switched back to the free version :D The $49 annual fee just posted on 2/1 so I was very pleasantly surprised to hear that they will be refunding that fee…
Good note! Chase will generally issue AF refund if the card is closed or downgraded with 30 days of the AF posting date. Beyond that I think they prorate AFs for downgrades? So something to look into depending on one’s circumstances.

Hopefully you will get your credit today and we can get our first DP on the special event tickets!!
No credit yet.

I only unfroze Experian and it worked…but they may not always use the same agency.
“Please allow 6 to 8 weeks after Qualifying Purchases post to your account for the statement credit to post to your account”
Well, that explains why I haven’t seen it yet. 🫠

Thanks for all the helpful tips on this thread!

I just had my wife refer me for the card and got the giftcard immediately. We're perpetual ad-free Disney+ subscribers, so that's an easy $120 per year. We're DVC too, so we will easily spend $2K a year on tickets. Does anyone know if Annual Pass renewals qualify toward the $2K / $200 rebate?
No, they do not qualify for that but they will qualify for the $100 credit after spending $200 in tickets.

Charge all of your food and merch to your room and then pay that off at the hotel to count towards the $2000 folio bill for $200 credit

Probably should've done this since I picked Experian and was put under review. They want TransUnion.

Did anyone do a trial and pay a bit of Disney dues (ahead)? It might trigger 3%?
No but it triggered 2% on the Premier as a "Disney" purchase so I assume it would but of course if the goal is to pay dues and use your card you could just go to shop disney and buy some gift cards as those will certainly be "Disney" purchases and grant 3x and then use those for dues.

Good to know. Just realized, I can get 5% on Target debit card and more on other gift card deals so maybe not! Target debit reloadable going away though....
If you aren't going to put any more spend on the card than the $1K to meet the bonus it blows away Target deals.

You are looking at $1,300 towards your dues for $670 out of pocket or 48.46% savings.

$1,000 Dues Payment
- $300 Statement Credit
- $30 Disney Dollars that you redeem with PYB
= $670 due to Chase.

+ Make an additional dues payment with your $300 Gift card = $1,300 towards dues.

Oh yes! I already got the card. Assigned the bonus on Disney-ish things I will be buying! Already a believer!! :) Just trying to figure out how to spend any of the 3% strategically.

I'm a DVC member. I called to renew our Sorcerer Passes on Friday, 2/6. I used the card to pay off the balance, a little over $200, after using gift cards to pay the majority. The charge went through on my card and it posted to my account, but the $100 statement credit isn't showing. I'll keep an eye on it, and call if it doesn't come through in the next day or so.
It generally will not reflect the statement credit until your statement closes.

I lifted Experian since Google AI said Chase uses it 70% of the time. Nope! They ran mine through TransUnion so I had to call anyway.
The letter I received from Chase specified TransUnion, so that’s the one I lifted. Then called Chase, was approved, and froze my credit again immediately. The Chase rep even told me when I could re-freeze it.

There’s really no big deal about lifting all 3 bureaus. I always do a 1 day schedule thaw when applying for a card. While banks tend to mostly pull one, most can pull from any of the three and you risk getting your application denied until you call reconsideration.

I had forgotten that I froze my credit, and I thought Chase would look at my history with them (all our banking as well as multi other CC accounts). I was surprised to get the letter telling me to unlock.

I just learned how to freeze my credit reports from this thread. Never did that before. Ooh and found an old activated card I swore I canceled and took care of that.

Got our card today, used it to pay off our final set of DVC dues (large enough to trigger the resort credit if it counts)— now to see if I get 3% back (I think we are all assuming yes?) on the dues and also to see if it counts towards a resort package (I think we are all assuming no)— still waiting to discover whether or not the hard ticket event I purchased last week results in a credit for $100 and how long it takes…
