Cafe Orleans Fantasmic Question

So Cafe Orleans is a guaranteed ground seating at Fantasmic now right? We had a reservation for River Belle Terrance brunch, but I just switched to Cafe Orleans.

Also does anyone know if they'd let my 10 year old order off the kid's menu? I'm assuming I'd need to pay the adult price, but I'd rather get food she'll definitely eat.

Yes. In January, Cafe Orleans took over the ground seating that was previously reserved for Blue Bayou.

We did the Cafe orleans package today. They told us a non alcoholic drink wasn’t included in the package. The website clearly lists a non alcoholic beverage is included excluding the Bayou Punch. They tried to tell me it was for River Belle. I said they don’t have a Bayou Punch and it’s clearly listed under Cafe Orleans. I asked for a manger, but they just said we can get the drink.

How frustrating that they argued with you when it it clearly stated on the website now that it includes a drink. I know before it was an actual bookable package, it didn’t specify. But it does now!

I’m honestly shocked they argued with me. They said the website was wrong. That’s not my problem. We had a group of 6 so that’s an extra $42 I did not think I should spend when it clearly listed a drink was included. It also seemed like I was the first person to express my disappointment. I also don’t think I have ever done a dining package that did not include a drink.

I've stopped by CO a couple of times to clarify if guests who made a regular dining reservation would be offered a Fantasmic package or if they need to make a reservation for a dining package in advance. No one that I spoke to knew that there was the option to make a Fantasmic dining reservation in advance.

Those in charge of Fantasmic dining packages need to communicate more clearly with the Cafe Orleans staff.

I just checked my confirmation email, and it includes the language quoted from the website that you showed. So good to know that if they try to claim otherwise (and if the website changes), I can show the original email!

The bayou punch is clearly on their menu…but I swear it used to be called something else…

I tried to find the menu for CO pre new bookable dining package…the one that was given during a regular booking…but it definitely includes a drink. That’s kinda the point isn’t it…they all include a drink.

Such a shame they argued with you. Guess the communication at DL is lacking across departments. But makes me sad for people who don’t argue or question it

I see it mentioned here that you can watch fireworks from the same spot. Forgive me, as I’m planning my first DLR trip. I’m going to assume you can see fireworks, but not necessarily projections on the castle, correct?

Correct. In order to see the projections on the castle, you need either camp out in front of the castle or view it from farther back on Main Street. If you are on Main Street, there are also projections on the buildings on both sides.

Fireworks with projections can also be watched from
  1. Rivers of America (immediately after Fantasmic) with projections on water screens on Rivers of America
  2. Small World with the projections on Small World.
  3. Star Wars Galaxy's Edge - You will be watching the same fireworks but with different music. The show in SWGE is called Fire of the Rising Moon

Thanks so much! This is so helpful. I am an expert at WDW, but learning everything about DLR right now. I have several days planned for my trip, so I’ll be sure to do Fantasmic and the fireworks from the front of the castle a couple different nights.

Definitely. Fireworks start <5 min after Fantasmic ends so it will be very difficult to get from ROA to the castle, especially with Paint the Night having just ended.

Why don't you start a thread with basic info about your trip (dates, number of people, ages, priorities, etc) and questions? I can give you some guidance for how and where to wait for different shows but I don't want to bring this thread off topic.
