If you stay at the cabins, do you normally get a Dining Plan. We loved the ease of the dining plan. (We just returned yesterday from our first trip as a family.) I will however say that by the end of the week I was tired of having to go somewhere to get dinner. Especially considering how tired my kids were at the end of the day. It would have been nice to just eat in the room.

How extensive is the kitchen, and the utensils and such that are in the kitchen in the cabins? Not to say I will be doing any major cooking, but, I am thinking some easy dinners in the evenings maybe half of the time, and then just simple, no cooking breakfasts.

We would still want to eat some character meals and such, just not eat every single meal out.

Thanks for the advice. I am trying to go ahead and book our next trip ASAP.

y family likes the cabins for the same reasons: about the only utensils missing are roasting/lasagne pans & cookie sheets - if you plan to do any baking best get foil tins/sheets = and either zip lock bags or disposable containers for left-overs.

When I stay in a cabin, I plan on easy breakfast and dinner foods. I don't use the stove too much, but I use the microwave a lot and it's great having a fridge with an actual freezer. I typically do not get the dining plan because I have an AP and I spend less paying OOP than paying for the plan.

We loved staying in a cabin earlier this year. There were six of us, including a one-year-old. It was so nice to be able to skip a restaurant now and then. I "cooked" one night -- pasta, sauce from a jar, frozen veggies. We had pizza take out one night and the Giddy up & Go chicken dinner carry-out from Trail's End -- delicious! The other nights we ate out.
We had breakfast in the cabin every morning. The kids believe that cereal tastes so much better in those little boxes. We had lunch twice -- the day we arrived and the day we went horseback riding at the Fort. And it was nice to have a "midnight" snack a few nights after coming home from the parks.
We had a very good experience with Garden Grocer. The food was in the cabin when we checked in, with the milk in the fridge and the ice cream in the freezer.
Have a great time!
