I think you made the right choice. RV's aren't for everyone, and the cabin seems to be larger than an RV.

As for the price - keep checking - last summer we managed to get an AP rate around $160 per night for a cabin. It made it worth it to actually buy the APs and take more frequent trips for a year.

I suspect Disney is going to be extending the 4/3 deal and you may do well with that.

I'm booked on it in regular season and it's still a pretty good deal - when you add in the $200 gift card they're also giving us.

Vickmeys, I think you will really enjoy the cabins like we do. We are senior citizens and will only stay at the cabins on our yearly trips. We usually buy annual passes and manage to set it up so we can get two 10 day trips within a year and save any where between $80 and $100 a night. Don't forget that mousekeeping even does the dishes for you and you have your own ice maker in the fridge.
We try to stay in 2100 ,2200 or 2300 loop which is in the middle about 3/4 to 1 mile away from both the Outpost or the Settlement. It is also about one half a mile to the Meadows trading post, pool and campfire. Make sure you request what you want and have it put on your reservation and also send a fax about 5 days before your arrival. By the way we have never used a golf cart, the buses are just fine.
Have a really great trip. You will love it

Dh and I have stayed in the cabins twice and we just love them! You'll have a great time. We didn't rent the golf cart either. The internal bus system was very efficient.
