irs been 4 years since I've been in cabanas on magic, been on fantasy 2x since then. After seeing pictures it appears that the Magic version is about half the size vs the Dream class cabanas restaurant . There are only 40% fewer passengers on the Magic so does that make a much more crowded experience in the buffet on magic ? It just seems like it's so tiny compared to the Fantasy cabanas , can anyone comment ?

I was on a Magic 3 night cruise so had nothing to compare it to at the time and I honestly don't remember much

The only morning it was crowded on the 4-night I was on this past year was Key West morning because EVERYONE was up because EVERYONE had to clear Customs (we'd been to Castaway first). But even that was manageable. There were CMs scattered about whose only job was to spot free tables and show people to them.

Other than that, I've never found it to be unmanageable on either class of ships. It should be very similar to what you experienced before. The footprint didn't change and the max number of passengers didn't change. Only the name changed.

Did you notice any differences in foods or food quality between the Dream class Cabanas and the Magic Cabanas?

We were on the Wonder this past August, first time since the reimagining. While I like that it's now Cabanas instead of Beach Blanket buffet I still found it VERY crowded and so much smaller than on the Fantasy :( We NEVER got a table inside (never had a problem EVER on the Fantasy) and I think it still gets very backed up as people are forming lines and I'm all "I need a waffle, excuse me" and butt in to get my darn waffle :sad2: No one seemed to understand how it worked, never seemed to have that issue on the Fantasy. Will be on the Wonder again in May, we'll see how it is then but I won't hold my breath for getting a table inside.

As far as the food quality, I found it the same as the Fantasy in that respect.

Just got off Magic today from Canada Coast. Did Wonder in Feb and Fantasy Dec last. While the Magic Class ships' Cabanas is a bit smaller, we really found it to be similar to the Dream Class. Very little difference aside from the location of the drink dispensers and whatnot.

I found that the Magic's Cabanas' salad bar was ridiculously small compared to the Dream class ships. Other than that, I didn't really notice too much of a difference (other than size). We found tables inside, but generally always opted for outside--need all the vitamin D I can get!!!

I'm juat glad they are all buffet style stations now instead of the line when you walk in the door.

It wasnt that bad on our Wonder cruise in May, but I'm sure it's busier at some time than others.
