Has anyone ever taken a cab to Sea World from a WDW hotel? If so, how much did it cost and was it an okay experience?

Thanks.

I think the cab fare would be around 35.00 one way for that distance.

We decided to rent a car from ALAMO for a day. It is cheaper than a cab and we can go shopping too.

We're planning to catch a Lynx bus from the TTC and the bus drops you off just across the street from SW. I think it's about $1.25 per person and one free child with each adult (maybe all kids free - not sure). The point is - it's a city bus on a reliable schedule that you can check out ahead of time, and from what I understand it only goes from TTC to the stop across from SW and back, not all through the city. This is a little bit out of our comfort zone but we've heard it's no big deal.

Lynx is great, they do go from TTC to SW. If your going to want to go around while there like to Pointe Orlando, etc. I think you can buy a week's pass pretty cheap.

I'm probably in the minority, but I prefer to book a towncar service. My personal choice is www.sunraytransportation.com Last time I checked it was $60 round trip + tip, for up to 10 people. I've had a couple bad experiences with the taxis and heard too many horror stories about Mears to bother with them. With Sunray, they'll pick me up in the AM, drop off at SW near the entrance, then during the day, I can call them to set up a pick up time once I see how our day is going. They usually want at least an hour or so notice, but you can usually tell when you'll be ready to leave. The price is well worth the good service. If you have a favorite towncar service, they probably provide transfers to SeaWorld, too. I just have only used Sunray, so that's all I can go on.

That being said, since I am traveling solo my next trip, I am using the Lynx bus as was mentioned above. Here's a rather informative post I found that had some detailed info about the Lynx bus.

Cheers!

I second that the "Lynx is great" We used it on August 10 everything worked out great for only $9.00. $1.50 one way each person. It picked us up at 8:18am and we were there in less then 30 min. The bus driver was very helpful also.

I e-mailed them for info on a bus to wal-mart and they sent me an e-mail the next day and told me what bus I needed to take. They were very helpful. I got a schedule and map. :cool1:

I do remember them stopping but just to pick-up or drop off people on the street not at Hotels. It was not that big of a deal. DH and I were just amazed how cheap and easy it was and why more people did not know about this.

We travelled to Seaword in July by both the Lynx bus at $1.50 per person via the TTC and also by taxi from POP which was just over $20.

I tried to pull up your link and it isn't working.

Lynx to Seaworld isn't a bad deal... however Lynx from WDW to Universal can be about an hour and a half ride each way, with transfers that require walking from one stop to another. If you are going to Universal, and perhaps Holyland, renting a car is likely your best bet!

We went to Sea World from WDW but we used Mears, it was the cheapest and it was very easy, they came and picked us up at the main lobby area, and dropped us off at the gat of Sea World we made plans to have them pick us up on the return trip they came at about 5pm and took us back to the resort. I think it cost about 40.00 for two round trip.

Last year we did a rental acr and that worked out well too, the rental company will provide transportation to and from the resort. Day rate enede dup being about 68.00. They get you with all the insuracne nonsense.
