I'm just sitting here thinking I don't have one sweet in the house. If I had all kinds of stuff DH wouldn't even ask for one but since I don't I know he will want something tonight (especially while watching the ball game.) So I'm thinking cookies.

Let me have your favorite cookie idea. He loves oatmeal raisin and I hate them.

Not very inventive but...It doesn't get much better than a hot, gooey, chocolate chip cookie.::yes::

We just bought a package of those Pillsbury holiday cookies -- the Halloween ones have ghosts and pumpkins

I love homemade peanut butter cookies.
1 cup of peanut butter,1 cup of sugar and 1 egg.

That's the recipe I use if I'm craving cookies and don't have much stuff in the house. I also add 1 tsp vanilla and chocolate chips if I have them. :)

Sorry, the only "cookies" we keep in our house are Holly's gerber veggie/fruit puffs. Trust me you DO NOT WANT THESE!! They need sugar or maybe salt LOL!

We do have Cheesecake mix and a Black Forest Cake I made though. Yumm!

oatmeal chocolate chip!

yum!

I love those chewy chocolate cookies with the Reese's chips. Actually, I love almost any cookie with some Reese's chips tossed in!

Hmmm ... that sounds really easy. And you just bake them like that?!?!? I love peanut butter! I want to try it.

Just wanted to say I checked into this thread because I thought it might relate to my house. We have to spell C - O - O - K - I - E - S at my house since this is what we call doggie biscuits! And I'm not quite sure that Mac can't spell!

But I'd go for some Toll-House slice and bake home-baked cookies! Enjoy the game!

You mix it then spoon it out into balls and then use a fork to flatten out,not to flat then you bake at 325 for about 10 minutes or maybe a little longer.

They are Wonderful and very easy to make::yes::

We have several favs, but the first thought that came to mind when you mentioned you'd especially like them for the ballgame was Monster Cookies. If you used only or mainly green colored M&Ms, they could be "Green Monster" Cookies.

These freeze extremely well (I even prefer to eat 'em frozen, actually). Here's a quarter batch recipe in case you're interested:

MONSTER COOKIES

3 eggs
1 C. sugar
1 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. (1 stick) margarine or butter
1 3/8 C. creamy peanut butter
3/4 tsp. light corn syrup
1/2 T. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
4 1/2 C. rolled oats
1/4 lb. (or more, if you prefer) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 lb. (or more, if you prefer) plain M&Ms

Cream first four ingredients. Mix remainder of ingredients in order given. Bake at 350 for 8-9 minutes (don't overbake - my recipe says to bake for 11 minutes, but I've found that's too long).

Some other favs here are: Strawberry Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Crinkles w/Hershey's Kisses, Snickerdoodles, Gingerbread, Date Nut Pinwheels, Oatmeal Raisin and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip.

Enjoy the game. :) I'm rootin' for the Yankees, but if Boston wins I'll certainly tip my hat to 'em. What a comeback that would be!

I clicked on this thread 15 minutes ago, and now......

Can I offer you a cookie? :teeth: Thanks for the PB recipe, I added chocolate chunks that I 'borrowed' from the halloween candy on hand. Yum :hyper:

I have a sheet of Pillsbury Slice and Bake Chocolate Chip cookies in the oven. Just started baking them before I opened this thread.
