ANy suggestions for a Standard room request at BWV?
I seem to recall we once had a room that looked out on to the Quiet pool.
Is that possible with standard view?

Is the room booked with DVC points or through CRO? DVC standard view is looking at the front driveway or pond. CRO standard view is usually one of the pools or garden areas.

If you were looking at the quiet pool you were in a preferred pool/garden view room, so maybe you got a free upgrade. Here is a map Granny made that gives you a good idea of where the view categories are:

Many people request "upper floor across from bus stop." What size room did you book? If it is a 1 bedroom you could ask for "corner room x123." I don't know whether the new system allows these particular requests anymore.

Standard won't normally look out at a pool. That's preferred.

After looking at the photo .I may have mixed up trips.

Do you know what the rooms are at the very end of the property ?
They kind of look over the pond?

I know it is a long walk!!

Per the photo layout, rooms at the end of the property overlooking the pond are Standard View rooms.

Keep in mind that the villas with a nice view of the pond are are long distance from the elevator, requiring long walks down the "endless hallways."

That depends. If your room overlooks the pond and you come from the bus stop or parking lot and go in the door near the pond, the walk is not long at all. If you come from DHS you can take the shortcut to go in the back door also and the walk is shorter than rooms near the elevator. If you come from Epcot, the walk to these rooms will be longer.

I think we had a room all the way down at the end of the hall by walking down stairs we could exit right by quiet pool.

I am not sure if we could re enter however.

and yes you can walk back up the stairs
If you walk right to the end you leave by the stairs on the path to Hollywood studios or the car park
just got a love my Kindle ,and a shaded table at the quiet pool

I've used that entrance. It sometimes is locked and you have to use your key to open the door.
