BWV or BCV Question

Is there a walkway from either of these to the Epcot parking lot? I know there is a walkway into Epcot.
My uncle always runs the Disney Marathon and I was wondering, if they rent points at either of these locations if he will be able to just walk to the start line (the traffic is AWFUL the morning of the marathon).

No, the only walkway from either resort goes to the International Gateway entrance to Epcot. There is no walkway to the parking area.

I think they have had shuttle buses from many of the resorts to the start area, but am not positive about that.

I have wondered if there is a way to walk to the monorail from either BCV or BWV. There is no way to allow a "walk through" from the International Gateway to the front entrance, ia ms ure. there has to some secret tunnel or waterway that we are not privy to using.

It seems though for a special event, there should be an accomadation made.

On the morning of the marathon there will be shuttle buses for all the particpants (and their supporters) that are staying on site at Disney Resorts from each of the Disney resorts.
The shuttle buses start (I think) at 3:30 or 4 am... in the past, it's been a 6 am start to for the marathon; we need to get there to get into the staging area then walk a bit to the start.
Walking to the Epcot lot from any of the resorts really isn't a good a idea at all... remember ... it's still dark out then! Traffic is is restricted on that morning..for those staying on site a notice is distributed the day before at your resort informing you of the event and of road closures and restrictions. Information as far as pick up times and locations is given in the race package when the marathoners check in at the expo on Friday or Saturday.
I was a little unsure about taking the shuttle bus over to the start...but I found out it added to the fun... there I was yawning, along with a bunch of other sleepy looking strangers all up way before dawn to join thousands of others wait for a Duck and Mouse to tell us it was time to start racing.

I would love to see the route for that marathon. It's the ful 26 miles-all on Disney property? Sounds pretty interesting.
