BWV Grand Villa 7 months out?

I am looking ahead to 2017 & wondering if I would have any chance at BWV boardwalk view at 7 months out, over July 4th. I would be interested in a two bedroom or grand villa. Thoughts on availability.....

There are only seven GV at BWV. Makes the odds of getting one over July 4th not very good.

My home resort is BLT. I will book that at 11 months out & see what is available at 7 months out.

The BWV GV can be difficult to get 7 months out any time of year. There are times in July, after about July 7, when one has a chance of sometimes booking a GV for multiple nights, even up to 6 or 7. However, in the last 4 years, the BWV GVs have been gone for July 3 through 5 before 7 months out.

We were lucky enough to get a one bedroom Boardwalk view for our trip last month, for 4 people. We booked right at 7 months out. We loved it! Great location & view! Hoping to stay there again.

Next summer there will be 6 of us, so I would need to book a two bedroom or GV.
If we don't get it, we'll still be happy at BLT.

Typically pool/garden view 2BRs are open throughout the summer at 7 months out. However, the 7+7 reservation rule creates an issue for July 4 time. What can happen is that for July 3 through 5 that 2BR can be open 7 months out from June 30 or July 1, but because members booking at 7 months out can book up to 7 nights, July 3 through 5 could fill with members reserving at 7 months out with a June 30 or July 1 start dates. In other words, waiting until December 3 to reserve could result in not getting that 2BR.

We booked at GV at BW for the end of August 2016. I forgot to call and didn't call until early October - I think I was two weeks late. I snagged the last one at ten and a half months for a time of year that isn't busy.

I don't think there is much of a chance of a Boardwalk View 2 bedroom either - although as drusba says (and she's the expert) you could walk into a pool/garden.
