What is the fastest way to get to the parks from BWI using Disney transportation? :confused3 We will be there is Aug., our first time at this resort. :cheer2:

Epcot is about a 7 minute walk. MGM is about a 15-20 minute walk (someone will probably correct me on this) and the boat takes a bit longer. We always take the boat to MGM. :3dglasses

You will have to take the bus for AKL and the Magic Kingdom. :)

When staying at BWI (the Inn side) and walking to MGM, cut through the main pool area, it's a short cut to the walkway. We really enjoyed the walk to MGM. Very quiet and peaceful. I think we only took the boat once and that was coming back in the rain.

Walk or boat to EPCOT.

Bus transportation to all other areas. Bus is shared with Swan and Dolphin - 2 separate stops and sometimes Beach and Yacht Clubs.

There is an alternate way to MK, but it is longer and involves more walking. If you are not in a hurry you can try this. But if you have meal ressies, don't try it.

You can walk or boat over to Epcot. You enter in the World Showcase. You can walk to the Main Entrance, on the other side of Space Ship Earth. Leave the park and take the Monorail to MK. When you arrive you have to either switch to another monorail or take the Ferry. But this is the long way.

LoveMickey,

We actually prefer that way! We'd rather have a nice long walk through Epcot (with a quick stop at the English pub for a Stella) and take the Monorail over to MK than the dreaded bus!

So do we. Otherwise you miss the entrance to EPCOT - we were there during the F&G show and we HAD to see the front entrance.
But one am while we were waiting to get into EPCOT at the International Gateway, there was a family trying to get to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary for Breakfast for 9:15. EPCOT did not open exactly at 9 that day and I don't think these people realized what they had to do to get to the Contemporary. They had a little tike walking and another in a stroller.

And you can always take that detour to have that Margarita in Mexico. :goodvibes
