BUZZ's Brigade - TEAM CHALLENGE - POST MILES/HOURS HERE

Sorry team, nothing to report! But at least I'll get to double the miles from the Chicago Distance Classic on Sunday!!

Has anyone seen our resident spreadsheet guru Chris? :confused3 I hope you're ok Chris. I just happened to look at the Google spreadsheet, and noticed that we don't have much entered for July. Just hope he has been busy this summer.

Pat
- I know that Sandy321 will be there as well. Maybe y'all can have a mini DIS meet. :thumbsup2 Good luck!

I'm still having hamstring troubles. I just can't seem to stretch it out enough. Maybe it's time for new shoes? :confused3 They are right at the 300 mile mark. I got them before the 5K in Jan. Let me know what y'all think.

Have a great week BUZZIES!!!

Ok, so here are my totals for the week of 8/1 - 8/7:

Miles: 17.02

Hours: 4:13

Hi All,
just reporting this weeks miles.
Running: 13
Cycle: 26

Total Time: 260 minutes.

Hope to get more an more as I get back into shape and it gets cooler. OK, it won't get cooler until October, but one can hope right?

enjoy,
Duane

Hey TEAM!!!

I'm here and alive. :thumbsup2

My summer has been hectic, but my mileage has stayed in the 30-35 miles a week range. Mixing in walking and running.

The spreadsheet is up to date from here.

I have the Disneyland half coming up at the end of the month and with two weekends at Disneyworld I'm afraid my training may suffer. :guilty:

Hope everyone is doing well. As of the end of July we have 11 Active Members on our team and 10 that haven't reported in to us for a while. Did anyone ever hear from Kathy?

I'll try and make sure we stay on the front page from now on. :scared1:

Hey Chris! Thanks for checking in.

I'm with ya' on the hectic summer. Although, now that school is back in session  , I'm back on a more regular routine.

Kathy reported in last week I believe. She has had some personal issues, and wasn't on the boards much. I think she said she had her totals. I'll have to go look back. You might send her a PM.

I'm one of the bad team members that hasn't reported numbers in awhile. I have, however, been running a lot! I just added up some of the weeks I hadn't reported and I will do the rest later.

Week Ending 7-10
34 Miles
5 Hours 50 Minutes

Week Ending 7-17
24 Miles
4 Hours 14 Minutes

Week Ending 7-24
47 Miles
8 Hours 10 Minutes

Hi everyone!

This Week:
Miles: 20.5 (double miles for 10k race)
Hours: 2:58

Well, my first 10k was last weekend. Wendy thanks so much for the words of encouragement! It was a small race and as I expected I ended up near the end of the pack. The first mile was measured incorrectly and we thought we were running a 12 minute mile... we got to mile 2 at 19 minutes without changing our pace. I knew I was running faster than usual and wouldn't make it if I didn't slow down. The last 4 miles were a lot harder than they should have been thanks to my bad pacing. Lesson learned. I finished in 69.5 minutes which I'm happy with. Now on to training for the 1/2 marathon!

Just checking in myself after another couple of hectic weeks at work. Good to hear from Karen, and hang in there, Duane! (I didn't go back too far reading -- but I do hope to run into Chris sometime out at DL in LESS THAN 2 WEEKS! YEOW!!!!!)

Numbers!

Week ending: 8/7

Hours: 11:20 (walking and strength training)

Week ending: 8/14
Miles: 31
Hours: 8:50 (walking and strength training)

As usual, this week, I don't have any miles to report. However, I have been doing some exercise, so I have minutes.

192 minutes.

Also have a question: When we do bike riding, do we count time or distance or both? Thanks. :)

Totals for week of 8/8 - 8/14:

Miles: 19.61

Hours: 5 hours 36 minutes

Just wanted to give Wendy a Congratulations shout out. I read that you entered ONE-Ville! ;) :yay: :woohoo: :cheer2: That is awesome! Keep it up, you're doing great.

Picked it up a little this past week. Hope everyone is doing well! TTFN

Miles 8.07

I am so envious of you folks going to Disneyland. Just couldn't swing it this year. Good luck to all!

My totals are a little low this week as it was my birthday and I had "things" planed :)

Week ending August 14
Running: 8 miles
Bike: 16 miles
Time: 205

Take care all,
Duane

Hey Duane!
Rain at your house this week? Just had to ask!

Also wanted to bump us back up and let everybody know that I booked our accomodations for January! :mickeyjum OKW 2-br for our team. :rainbow: 8th-12th. Kinda excited even though my miles haven't shown it lately. Got an appointment next week at CarolinaOrtho to get nagging foot pain looked at. Then back in training mode.......

UGH!! I have been so bad about reporting in (I have to tell you, having the reporting week for this thread end on Thursdays really throws me off -- every other purpose for which I track runs Sunday through Saturday so doing the math for this is a challenge for someone like me. LOL!) Anyway, here are my numbers for the weeks I've been derelict about reporting:

Week ending 7/31 -
275 minutes
9.7 miles

Week ending 8/7
260 minutes
16.08 miles

Week ending 8/14
252 minutes
24.08 miles (including a 5k)

It's quiet in here this week!

Week Ending 8/21:
Miles: 18.3
Hours: 3:45

I just returned from the Livestrong Challenge 5k. It was a lot of fun! I'm not sure of my time yet as there were no clocks out on the course... not even at the finish. My boyfriend is still out cycling 100 miles. Besides the 5k they had 10, 25, 45, 70, and 100 mile cycling. A very cool event!

Hope everyone has a great week!
