Buying "one time use points"

We are looking at going back in Oct 2022 - and right now the dates we are looking to book would be 160 pts - and I have 159 pts....I know I can book my home resort at 11 months, which is next month, but I can't buy 1 one time use points at 11 months, right??

or do I just borrow that 1 point???

You need to borrow the 1 point to be able to book before 7 months. I would just do that since it’s just one point and not risk losing the room

Right - that's what I was thinking too - I would hate to only book 4 nights at 11 months and then try to add night #5 at 7 months - especially since we're looking at going right before Halloween which I feel could be a busy time!
