Hi everyone
We are currently in WDW but leave tomorrow, 30 Sep. We’re looking at a Poly contract direct but want to know if we need to be in the USA to complete this or if we can do it in the UK?
Has anyone had any experience of signing paperwork etc. before the release date of a resort?
Also someone mentioned the 90 day rule - could we buy a different resort and get the paperwork done here and swap it over when Poly opens on 1st Oct?
Thanks for any advice

UK owner here… have checked with a guide that we can sign everything from home and the answer is YES!

Also, they have to wait 15 days before they can take any payment from UK residents, so you can sign the contract, get points and not have to make any payment for another 2 weeks 😀

That’s great news! Can we also get the Disney finance from the UK too?

never heard of a 90 day rule… what are you talking about?
Read in another post that if new incentives come out they let you transfer within 90 days (might have been less and remembering wrong) and wondering if that rule would apply in this situation

Never heard of that before. There’s a period of time (definitely less than 90 days) that you can revoke your purchase.

Some buyers put the down payment on a credit card and spread out the payments over 90 days. If during that 90 day period they change their mind as far as what resort or how many points, etc., DVC has rewritten the contract. That’s where the 90 days comes from.
Thanks Carolyn for clarifying

Yes, I may have been one of the people who discussed this in the thread or another. My guide confirmed that this is the policy if you spread your payments over 90 days with a delayed close. You can amend details until your escrow closes.

However, the ten days is a legal right, but the 90 days is at Disney’s discretion, so I would get it in writing if I were relying on this.
