I just read/saw this. How crazy! I hope the busdriver isn't repremanded for this, seems like he didn't do anything but defend himself.

***ETA- The following is all based on things we have read adn may or may not be fact.***

And while I read the guy was banned from Disney and charged with assult, I have to think he also should have someone look into the fact that he threw his baby. :scared1:

ETA- Update from another poster in post 14, the bus driver was not repremanded and the guy is in some serious trouble.

For those asking who can't see it now, the guy with his family was waiting for a bus. Apparently the driver told him it was full and to wait for the next bus. The guy was upset saying they have a child and then threw the baby, under a year old by the looks her her, at the driver and then strangled him.

So this man threw his child and tried to strangle a bus driver because he had to wait for another bus? Nice. It's jerks like him that make me think twice about going on vacation at all.

That is just insane.

To act like that in front of all of those children, and to show your own small children that it is acceptable to physically resolve any issues you may have. Disgusting...and the family stood their ground on the bus...I can't imagine that driver continuing the trip to EPCOT with them in tow.

I really want Ashton Kutcher to pop out and be like "HA YOU'VE BEEN PUNKED"
I can't believe that a man would strangle the bus driver over getting on the bus. Really? And JUST because you have a baby, it does not mean you get first priorities. (He mentioned something about having a baby, around 1:40. "we have a baby" so what? there are hundreds of other people in walt disney world who also have babies!) There are tons of other babies waiting in line to go to EPCOT just like you, sir.

I heard that too - but you missed "We have a baby, we should have priority" Go listen again. What a moron.

The comments on YouTube - one of them made me laugh: Should have taken the boat. :lmao:

This is craziness. I'm curious to see how this pans out. Do we know what charges were brought, etc?

Look at the world we now live in, it's amazing. *We* knew about this, before news outlets. I can't find a thing about it.

Yes I heard that, like that makes it ok. And they are the only ones with kids in DISNEY WORLD! It is all just crazy but throwing your child? Really, there are no words...

Am I the only one kinda surprised, with so many men standing around, no one stepped up and broke them up? :confused3 There's that one man in the white, but I think he's with the strangler.

I just am thinking of my own husband, and 19 y/o. I feel like they would have stepped in. I mean, the guy was being strangled...it wasn't just a shouting match.

If my husband threw our kid at someone, that only one he should be afraid of would be me. And then have his hands around the driver's neck? WTH?!

Next time someone asks why I choose to use my car in WDW as opposed to the buses I'll show them this!

My poor DH has to use public transport all year at home - no way would he use it in WDW. The idea of being stuffed on a full bus with the potential for dregs like this guy turning up makes a car essential for any trip imho!

I hope it is OK to post this here but I fiqured since everyone would want to know what happened to the poor bus driver9 inknow I was curious to know) I would go ahead and post this it was taken from another Diseny forum!

I work for bus operations and the entire incident was caught on the security cameras.Every load zone has a high def camera that sees the bus and load zone. We can actually zoom in with the cameras and read the drivers name and his hometown on his name tag on their uniform. Also in the video one of the gentleman on the bus,{I wont identify him} was one of our plain clothes security officers and was in the load zone at the time and witnessed the attack. Security was called along with the OCSO,and yes it took them a few minutes to get to him. This was because the bus was in load zone C7 which is in the charter bus lot and away from the regular Resort load zones near the entrance to Hollywood Studios. If you watch the video closely you will see flashing red and blue lights illuminating the side off the bus. When the wife saw them pull up the wife took off,and tried to hide in the crowd, and left her child with the husband. Other guests identified her to security. They were then removed from the bus and load zone and taken backstage. The gentleman was then arrested and handcuffed for assault on the driver. He is also facing charges for Terrorist threat due to the assault happening on the bus, and public endangerment. They were also ejected from the resort they were staying at,and trespassed from Walt Disney World property. They will not be returning to the Happiest Place on Earth ever again. Also everyone will be happy to hear the driver was not reprimanded for the incident, and continued with his job that evening. I actually saw and talked to him last night and he is doing fine.
Also forgot to add copy of the security tape was provided to the OCSO,they are in turn forwarding it to the state attorney for possible further charges of Felony child neglect and endangerment.

I can't see the video right now. So, this man THROWS his baby somewhere? What??? Where is his wife at the time? And who filmed this? So interesting, especially since i"m sure what I'm picturing in my head is almost worse than what really happened!

Yeah I was thinking the same thing I know my husband would have defintley stepped in and offered the bus driver some help!!

Exactly what I was thinking. The bus drivers are great. Some of the people are not. I'm sure all those people behind him were glad he was making such a scene so they had to wait even longer for a bus. That bus was incredibly packed. I missed the beginning. Why was he so upset?

Believe me that was the exact thing I was thinking. Had we been on that bus my DH would have been all over the guy. All I can think is maybe people were just stunned but I know for a fact my DH wouldn't be (I have seen him step in before, scares me but at the same time makes me proud.)

If my husband threw our kid at someone, that only one he should be afraid of would be me. And then have his hands around the driver's neck? WTH?!
Yeah, no kidding! I just can't even imagine, really, that is the most shocling part to me I mean he THREW HIS BABY!

I don't know about that, we drive to Disney every trip and never use our car. We have found the busses to run smoothly, work well and this is a rare thing that can happen anywhere. One bad apple in so many won't ruin it for me. Not using a car is part of our vacation happiness like your DH not riding public transportation is part of his.

Thank you so much for posting that, I am so glad to hear he was not in any troulbe. The comments on Youtube, while never dependable, implied he was and that was upsetting to me.
