Just a quick question............Do you have to go to a resturant for dinner or is the buffet open??? oooops one more........is there a midnight buffet on a four day cruise....

No, you don't have to go to your "scheduled" restaurant. Topsiders is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with the buffet-style dining. Haven't been on the 4-day, but I know there wasn't a midnight buffet on the Magic :( (missed that from my first cruise on the Princess)

There is a buffet on the 9th deck called Topsiders which you can have dinner there also. I am pretty sure there is a midnight buffet on a 4-day, but I am not sure. Hope this helps!

Anyone know if the dinner buffet is currently an option on the Wonder? I heard that it might be added, but that was almost a month ago. Just curious, as I will plan to take photos for my website if it is there when we sail next week. We took photos of the lunch buffet, which is excellent.

We were on the Wonder two/three weeks ago. The only midnight buffet we know of is the dessert buffet.

inkognito: Please let know when you go on your trip if there is a midnight buffet!!!!

Sorry. Forgot to mention the only dinner buffet that we saw was for the kids that were in the clubs. Special buffet for them followed by activities at Topsiders

Now I'm confused. We're going on the 4 day in September. I thought that every night you could either go to the buffet or the dining room. Now I hear their isn't a buffett? We would probably go to the dining room anyway but I want to get our options straight. So, there is not a buffett at dinner except for the kids club on the 4 day?

Sonya....I think they are talking about there not being a midnight buffet. Yes, you can opt to eat in the Beach Blanket Rest. (Topsiders on Magic) for a buffet for breakfast, lunch, dinner if you do not want to go to the regular dining room.

Let me add to the confusion. I was on both the Magic and Wonder last year-and unless they've changed since:the dinner buffet is only available on the Magic 7 night cruise. There are midnight dessert buffets on both cruises-but I believe it is only offered 1 night. DCL offers 24hr room service instead of midnight buffets.

My understanding is that the buffet is only open for dinner on the Magic, on all but the first and last nights of the trip. There are some other options for dinner, however: Palo, Pluto's Dog House (burgers, dogs, chicken nuggets, fries, etc.), Pinocchio's Pizza, and, as mentioned, 24-hour room service.

Ok, so for those of us going on a 3 or 4 day Wonder cruise our EVENING DINNER options would be:

1) Whichever dining room is in your rotation
2) Palos
3) Room Service
4) ??Buffet??

Sorry if I posted in error. I was thinking of the Magic buffet's not realizing they may not have the same options on the Wonder.

As of last month on the Wonder, there was no open dinner buffet offered (although the kids do eat there from the clubs). Thus, the options were your assigned restaurant, room service, or fast service. However, there was talk of possibly adding a dinner buffet as an option like they do on the Magic. But it was just talk...nothing definite, but a good possibility.
The midnight buffet is offered one night, at the Nassau night party. It is a fruit and dessert buffet.
I hope that clears things up for now. If there are any changes when we sail next week, I'll let everyone know.
