I'm looking for a CHEEP and clean place to stay one night in Orlando before our AKL reservation starts. I'm trying to take advantage of less expensive flights that leave a day early if I can find a cheap place to stay in it may be worth it does anyone have suggestions?

The Clarion at Lake Buena Vista is clean and perfectly fine for one night.

Also, try travelzoo.com or bookit.com for good deals.

Seralago hotel and suites is cheap, clean and close to the action. We stay usually two nights at the most there and have not had any problems.

Are you planning on renting a car? If you weren't, then staying offsite for one night may totally negate any savings of taking the earlier flight. You'll have to get to the other hotel, either by taking a shuttle, cab, or rental car.

I stayed at the Orlando Vista right outside DTD for one night before a cruise. Got it on Hotwire for around $42 including taxes and fees. If you go to betterbidding.com, you can use the amenities listed to try and figure out which hotel is which.

The hotel was nothing fancy but plenty fine for one night.

Quality Suites Lake Buena Vista are around $100 a night and it is a 1 bedroom suite with a living room and a kitchen and you get free breakfast for everyone in the room. They also have 2 bedroom suites for about $130 a night. You get the cheapest rate by joining Choice Privileges which is their frequent stay program and it is free to join. You also get the lowest rate by booking online and pre-paying. It's a very nice place.

Has anyone stayed here? Econo Lodge Maingate Central
The Tripadvisor reviews are horrible! There is NO WAY I would stay there.

I will suggest Priceline or Hotwire again and pick at least a 2*. You can use Priceline's new "Express Deals" to make sure that you get a room with what you want.

ETA, you can also look for a place near the airport. We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites last April for only $32 by bidding on Priceline.

Go for a 3* or higher on PL; near the airport will normally be cheaper than near WDW, but if you want to get to parks early, stay fairly close to WDW.

There are a lot of nice hotels near SeaWorld that have high vacancy rates, and they can be very good targets.

Opinions?

Quality Suites Universal South 54+tax can cancel
Baymont Inn & Suites Kissimmee 50 +tax can cancel
Quality Inn & Suites Kissimmee 55 + tax non refundable
Super 8 Kissimmee/Maingate/Orlando Area 42 + tax non refundable

breakfast included

Keep in mindI can get ASMusic for 121 with tax

Baymont Inn in Celebration is right around the corner from AKL. Its like a 5 minute drive to AKL. Clean, cheap. There is a McDonalds across the street that you can safely walk to. If you exit the hotel parking lot go right and at the end of the road turn left there is a Super Target at the next intersection.
Price is $62.
To get to the AKL exit the hotel parking lot and turn left when the road dead ends turn left on to Sherberth Rd. At the first traffic light turn left and you will be entering the AKL!!!

Did anyone mention MAINGATE lakeside?

looks very inexpensive but I have not stayed there.

anyone?

Maingate Lakeside Resort (MLR) used to be a Best Western. We stayed there about 2 years ago. It was probably built in the late 70's or 80's and met our needs as a place to spend the night. It had been updated but was starting to show its age. We had also paid about 45-50 bucks a night and had no complaints. For the money it was a B+, overall condition was about a B-.
