Just heard back from all parties -- insurance, dentist, denturist and it is going to be a whopping $0 OOP!! phew -- AND i am getting the procedure done June 21, which gives me 2 months to recover before going on my trip~~~

A little bit of pixie dust in the air!

It hurt me just to read about what happened to you. I hope you're feeling better soon.

Just following up --

Got the procedure done yesterday, took 30 minutes!!! While the dentist was working, i got to watch Phineous and Ferb! (it was funny when they turned on the TV in teh room and it was Disney Channel they went to change it and i asked them to leave it -- they just kind kind of looked at me oddly )

Did have some panic when i picked up my dentures though -- as even though we had the pre-determination and approval the denturist Secretary didn't submit the insurance claim, and they wanted me to pay for everything IN CASH!!

Luckily a quick call to the insurance company cleared that up phew.


Over all i am doing great, a little bit of tenderness -- but i will be able to eat my way through Florida in no time -- and with an awesome smile!

I'm so glad it's going to be covered for you! I hope you recover quickly - I was cringing just reading that! You must be in so much pain. Get well quickly and enjoy every minute of your trip!!!

Thanks for the support and Disney vibes! 24 hours after my procedure and NO pain or discomfort -- I ate ravioli for lunch thanks for all the advise! I would post a before and after, but the before is a horror show but the after us amazing!

Two weeks later -- and i am 110% --
ate steak for dinner last night --

If anyone in the GTA (you will know it if you are in it) requires a good dentist/denturist -- message me and i will point you in thier direction -- both were awesome!!!

My gosh! When I read your first post, I couldn't, and still can't, imagine how you don't also need reconstructive surgery for your face, and how your jaw is not broken, and eyesight affected, etc.
I am so happy for you that it all turned out so well----and eating steak already?!!!
You must be pretty darn healthy and a good and quick healer.
Have a great trip.
