DH & I have found ourselves with a weekend to fill & would like to visit Salem, MA this weekend. Unfortunately, I can't find any acceptable accommodations that fit within his company's hotel allowance. We can't justify going over their expected rate, because we don't really have to go to Salem. We could stay anywhere between ME & NY. Anyway, do any of you have suggestions for any places I should check that are in the $150(ish) range & is close enough for us to tour Salem without a long drive?

I don't have any specific recommendations, but it can be tough to find cheaper options as you get near the shore (like Salem is). You may be able to find something West, searching along 95. Maybe try searching around someplace like Woburn.

Google show the Knights Inn in Danvers is 15 minutes from Salem and suits your budget this weekend.

It's graduation and college move out season. Near Boston is expensive.

Thanks. I'll check Woburn.

We've never stayed at a Knights Inn, but I'll look into it.
