We have a catholic holiday - had to look up the name in English though - it's called Whitsun or Pentecost and everyone has Monday off - teachers and pupils are extra lucky as we get Tuesday off too!

I sure miss the Catholic holidays. I attended Catholic schools as a child andf my kids attended 12 yrs of Catholic School, so we enjoyed all the religious holidays. In the U.S. now, many parochial schools have dropped almost all of the religious holidays - it is sad to me. I am a very liberal Catholic now, but still appreciate the significance of the religious holidays - and most are to celebrate!!!

We are leaving at 5 am tomorrow morning !!!Or at least that is the time Carol is picking me up!!She's called about 4 times today and the last time she was on her way home !!Said she picked up.... I thought she said" I picked up some WEED"I said Carol you bought WEED " I hear helpless laughing as she says "NO I picked up ALEVE!!"So it has started already !!The Comedy Duo is at it agin !!! I am soooo hoping Carols' Elvis is staying at out Hotel !!Marv you may get aphone call if he is !!You will know it is me by the laughing !!!

Well Trip numero Uno is completed !! Photobucket is not cooperating so I will just start with the preample ( sounds presidential)
Last Thursday we all met at Budget Rental Car , well 3 of the 5 groups did the other 2 had left the day before and stayed in the Albany area overnight for early pick ups in that area !!!
Of our 8 , 2 were from our agency and I had already met them another was a repeater ( yes he survived a trip with us before )We had a total of 5 guys leaving Buffalo and had 3 more to pick up en route

We stopped for coffe before the pick up as Carol and I needed it Getting up in the middle of the night requires it !!!

We stopped at Exit 40 for our only pick up and low and behold they were waiting for us This is usually a problem , we are constantly waiting for pick ups/ drop offs , as you will hear at the end of the trip

All aboard now and time for Carol's RULES
1. Stay with the Group
2. Tell us if you need to go to the bathroom( as opposed to peeing yourself )
3. Have Fun

Usually they comply with all rules , but quickly learn the consequences of ****** off Carol !!!
We stopped for lunch around 11:30a in an area that had several choices , of course they picked MacDonald's The group got a chance to get to know each other and it was soon apparent who the "slow poke " was

We have a stool to help them in and out of the huge van and I move it back and forth to accomadate each person's mode of exit They were really agreat group and soon had the van in/out down pat no fights over who sits where ( I didn't hear Carol say it , but she coulda told them the roof was their next option

We made record time and arrived by 1 pm , of course the room wasn't ready , I called ahead to check . So we headed to the Forum and picked up our BLUE SUEDE PASSES
