Bubba and Tink Final Update 11/23

The next Morning after a delicious breakfast at the hotel, who opened up a side room just for us , so we all ate together 4 groups of us .Then we headed to the Forum for the first round of the Contest

Here we are outside and as you can see it was a sunny day

We found seats and watched the Contest begin

Supper tonight was at The Heidelberg , a german restaurant which I found last year and yes this is still a MUST do

Some more food porn

Tuna sandwich was a popular choice

Shrimp and fries for Carol

Fish Sandwhich... No one seems to be picking any German food

Well omelette and german potato salad is closer

Had to proof it was a German Restaurant

We headed back to the Forum for the evening session and here is what you all have been waiting for......

Okay, I guess I am a little that I went there, but you know me......never pass up a great chance to go with the easy joke!!!

Sorry the food wasn't a lot better. Those scallops look really good and they are one of my favorites, but hate when they are rubbery!

Looks like Carol had a good choice with those shrimp though............

As for the sign outside the Pub, I have no comment on the grounds I might incriminate myself.............

Found ya Rosie (thank you Christine) Thank you for all you do! My DB is autistic & lives in a group home, and I know it takes someone special to be a guide. I personally am grateful for everyone who helps my brother, it means the world to me, especially since we are over 3 hours awa from him

Lasy year Carol and I di have german food , but this year are you ready for what I had Liver and Onions , I am sooo the only one at home who likes this and so we never have it !! There;s was delish. In fact all their food is great and the prices are reaonable. We in fact talked 2 other groups into going and they both said they are going again!!! I( am waiting on Glenn and Marv to see THAT pix and for their comments

I find it soo rewarding working with this population !! They are who brought out the TRUE Rosie , I watched them simply enjoy without a thought of what anyone was thinking and it made me understand that I wanted to be just like them and be myself , nutty , crazy kookie whatever !!! At my Group home we laugh a lot and act kookie daily , guess what we have a stable usually behavior free house . It's hard to be mad when your site manager is marching around the house leading excercises singing "When the Saints Come Marching IN"

Saturday was raining and so the 3 car parade was cancelled So we again went to the Forum and watched Elvis !!Now you will all recall how Carol judged them And she continued to do so
Today was ELVIS about Town so we headed to King Neptunes to catch an Elvis or 2 . We had met the first Elvis the first night at the Opening and he of course remembered us and showered the guys with attention

Note Carol up there with one of the guys !!! Well Elvis had pointed to our table and beckoned , one of them started to get up and he said NO the one in purple, well I was under the table laughing cuz you can see what Carol was wearing. Luckily for her the gal who got up went up too and Carol was saved from being serenaded . She souldn't even look at me cuz she knew I was rolling

He then asked for a volunteer and of course one of ours got up

His jump suit was shall we say Carol worhty , BUT CarolE was with us and added a new twist, she spent a long time deciding on what he was wearing under it and came up with THONGS and graphically described how she knew Needless to say we all had a ball

I will continue when I get back from Cape Cod !! I just wanted to share a good part of the Blue Suede Shoes portion before leaving !!!
