Brussel sprouts

I love those packets of Green Giant brussels sprouts in butter sauce.

Cut them in half, toss with olive oil, salt and pepper. Roast in a hot oven until tender.
Cover with olive oil and tons of sea salt. Bake at 400* for about 30 minutes shaking every 7 minutes or so. Best if they blacken some. Look horrible but taste delicious - had them last night

YUM!

Me too! I love separating out some of the leaves and letting them get crispy/burnt. They are wonder that way. :cool1:

The only other thing I love eating burnt is roasted marshmallows. Yum!

In addition to salt and pepper on the brussel sprouts, you can also add garlic or chili powder for a different kick. :yay:

For me, simple is fine...I just boil 'em.

DS likes them like that, too.

But hubby is still a bit toddler-ish about them, and I think I'll be saute'ing them with butter and garlic in the future.

What's up with the cutting a cross at the bottom? What does that do for them?
