BRP but no AP yet

Hi - I have a question about the BRP. My dates are April 38 - May 10th. Now, if they release AP rates for that time and I don't have an AP - can I phone Disney and get an AP and book over the phone? Or do I have to order my AP, wait for it, then book online and hope there is availlability? This is driving me nuts! Any help would be appreciated.

You can phone CRO between the hours of 2 - 5PM EST to get BRP rates. Before and after that time they will not be able to help you. They will tell you to book it online.

I called between 2 - 5PM yesterday and I was given the BRP rates for my dates. I did not have to provide any AP information over the phone. Just my credit card information for the one night room deposit. The only thing I was told was to make sure I provide my AP when checking into the resort.

I currently have a packaged booked with AAA. It looks like I could do better with the AP discount. Can my TA book the AP discount for me?
