BRP and Dining

Okay, I think I already know the answer to this question, but, will ask anyway. My understanding has been that the dining plan can only be added to packages and we can not get it with our BRP rooms. I recently had someone tell me that may not be true. What do you all know about this? Can I add it to my AP discounted room with the BRP?

Never heard of being able to use best rate AND dining plan. You have to book a room/ticket package to get the dining plan. Some AP holders are apparently booking a room and one-day park tickets and accessing the dining plan that way, but they're booking this as a package and not through Best Rate.

I just read over on the DVC boards that DVC members & those who rent from them, will be able to purchase the dining plan for trips beginning sometime in April 2006. I haven't seen anywhere that this same offer will be extended to AP holders, but it's not out of the question.

We've using the DDE in conjunction with the AP. I'm guessing that will make a dent in the meals for our group of 6 this trip...

Hi T-i-double-g-err,

We use the DDE also. That does help a good bit, especially when you do the more expensive restaurants. If I could just remember to give them my card every time I would be doing okay. We had over a $300 dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse in October and I completely forgot to give it to them. I was pretty upset the next morning about that one.
