Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

thanks so much for posting the pictures early!!! i'm forwarding them to ray right now. i LOVED the morning ones.....SO PRETTY! i'm hoping by the time we go to disney in december 2010 i will be an early riser because of having a new baby. that way i can get out of bed early to take some of these gorgeous sunrise pictures i've seen on the DIS.

speaking of cameras, ray and i were just commenting on how he's going to have to TEAR me away from everything at disney next trip because of this new camera we have! we both agree that we will probably just hit a few favorites in each park instead of trying to do everything and spend the rest of the time just relaxing with me having my right eye glued to the viewfinder behind the camera!

I think some playing and quite a bit of relaxing and resort time is going to be the norm for us for a few years to come.

Wilderness Lodge will be even more beautiful with its Christmas decor when you go next December.

I wondered if you could see BLT from the Wl...now I know.

MeMom I wish I had breakfast there everyday too! I can imagine Brooklynn running around that place, my girls loved it there.

Dawn... it will be so much fun to stay there after your hiatis ends.

You can see BLT very well.

Brooklynn had a lot of fun chasing bunnies out in the grass. Thankfully, she never got very close to one.

Thanks MeMom, that was a fantastic way to start a Saturday morning! So peaceful and serene.....ahhhhhh!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. We felt very at home there.

Beautiful pictures from WL! It looks so peaceful and relaxing!

It was. The beds felt so good, and just sitting on the beds talking or sitting out on the porch talking was so much fun. We also sat out in lawn chairs on the beach, and that was enjoyable, as well.

MeMom, I did find that Mickey dressed as Woody, he's about 8 inches tall and is going to cost me about $25 with shipping. Isn't that a bit steep? I may have to wait about 138 days to get him while I'm down there...

I think he was $13.95, and then add a few bucks for shipping. I'd get it from WDW Merchandising.

Aw..Bella's got her first tooth! Poor girl. They always look so miserable trying to chew on anything in sight!

MeMom, thanks for the WL pics. We really do miss staying there, which is why we always have to go over there and say "hi" during our trip.

Dawn, that pic is gorgeous! You found a good one! :thumbsup2

I'm an avid fan of resort hopping, and we try to make it to all the deluxe resorts almost every trip, especially at holiday times. So, we totally understand your need to say 'hi'!

I am so happy to hear you all loved the WL! The morning pictures you took are BEAUTIFUL. :cloud9:

And your DTD pictures make me want to be at the WoD RIGHT NOW buying all sorts of goodies!

moparop - I'm late in reading your news, but it never hurts to pray, so I am! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I look forward to seeing her pictures!

You made it through the first tooth-YAY! :yay: I cannot believe she is already old enough for teeth though, how time flies!

Wigd-want me to pick one up and mail it to you from when I go in September? I can't imagine the are $25 in the store-Henry's little plushies, also about 8 inches tall, were I believe $14 at WDW and shipping would only be a few bucks I'm sure. Let me know if you want me to get one for ya! :goodvibes

The guys are all saying that next summer we need to do the same thing at Animal Kingdom Lodge. They say the last two nights at an awesome resort needs to become a tradition. :)

She was four months old on the 5th, which is a little early for teeth, but Brooklynn cut teeth early, too.

Maybe that will work for wigd. I hate to see her pay $25 for the cute little guy!

Hi Jill and MeMom,
Glad you had a great trip! I'm subscribing and going back to caught up to date. Jill I can't believe how much Brooklyn has grown, she is just too cute. Bella is just beautiful as well. Glad you loved WL, we love that resort as well.

Hey there! Haven't heard from you in a while. How are your kiddies?

What beautiful WL photos.:cloud9: Thanks for the advance screening.:goodvibes

Jill says as soon as she can get the external hard drive from John, she'll get the first set of pictures up. If not tonight, then tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed!

Ahhhh those pictures are a little slice of heaven in the middle of my Saturday...:cloud9: Thanks MeMom!

Good. That's what we want to do - bring back Disney happiness for all our friends!

So glad you've gotten started. Love the pictures!

This morning was my 90 day mark for our ADR's. I was up at 5:30 :scared1:. I know, you think that's late, right! I'm so glad it's done though. That is always so stressful! No Fantasmic dining package to be had though:sad1::sad1::sad1:. Did you guys see it this time? If so, how crazy was it to get in?

Hope your leg is better. It stinks to have problems on vacation. I got sick this past spring on our trip to beach and had to stay in the room the whole time!!! So I feel for you. It is bad when you just want to go like a mad woman and you can't!

Can't wait to hear more about your trip!! WL looks wonderful! Maybe one day if we can ever afford anything more than value resorts. But I am VERY thankful for those value resorts at this point in life! But the ceiling fan would be really nice:thumbsup2

Fantasmic was very crazy. Get there early, and have something to drink so that you won't dehydrate. If you don't get there early, you'll probably be sitting way over on the side or even standing.

We will have to stay value almost all the time. This was a special treat, and if we can do the two night thing at the end of our stays, that will be great, but there is no way I could pay to stay somewhere like that for the whole time! I am thankful for values, too! I was very happy to have the ceiling fan, indeed!

5:30 is kinda late for me. Hey, what if I just took orders, and I could do all the ADR calling for everyone who likes to sleep late?!?!?

I loved the virtual trip to WL! Great pictures! I especially love the early morning ones. Those are worth waking up early for!

I cannot wait to someday see Humphrey the bear, the magic fountain (between those two I should be all set with my wishes!;)), that gorgeous lobby, the pool, the beach, and to get my own piece of "serenity now." :)

Congratulations on Bella's tooth! :goodvibes

I will look forward to seeing your pictures and hearing about all the happiness it brings you when you do stay there!

If you call him Chabalito and tell him Brooklynn said hi he will definitely give you extra special attention!

Chabalito. Where did she come up with that?

No baby news today.....I hope everyone is happy, healthy and rested.

I loved all the pics MeMom!

I really do miss WDW! I love how they put so much detail into the stores and displays!

I wish I was going in October so I could meet you.
The "Free Dining" in Oct. is great bonus for you!
I hope you find flights that work. :thumbsup2
If you go I may have to put in an order for a Halloween Tinkerbell....;)

It's going to be awhile before I will be able to take time off because I'm changing job locations and I will now be the sole Manager. Right now there's two of us so it didn't matter when I went on vacation as long as it wasn't near a holiday. So it still looks like May or August for us. :woohoo:

Are you going to start a whole new thread when BrooklynnsMommy gets started? I need warning....my life is hectic lately and I'd hate to miss it.

I was hoping to hear from Mop today. We've been thinking of her all day!

I like seeing the store displays, too. I could be happy just decorating Disney resorts and stores. :)

I hope the October trip does work out. We left a lot undone on this trip!

Congratulations on being the head manager! Do you get a nice raise with your move? As a teacher, I'm always going to have to go to WDW during busy times.

We're just going to put the report on this one, so stick around here.

Hi all!

It's been a crazy 36 hours but I am happy to report that Aileen Olivia arrived yesterday afternoon at 1:15, weighing in at an even 7 pounds and 19 3/4 inches - not too bad for almost 5 weeks early! Her lungs were quite immature and though she came out crying, we had a scary 30 minutes in the operating room that involved the crash cart, a tube down her throat, and chest compressions. Once she was stable again, she has just flourished! She was breathing without help by 2 am, had her IV out by 9 this morning, and started feeding right around then. If things continue on her current trend, we should be going home TOGETHER on Monday! During those tense moments in the ER, I never thought that would happen. I am sure that was the power of all the good thoughts and prayers we had behind us.

Here is our little princess: Aileen!

She is beautiful. So glad all is well. Hope you both get to go home Monday.

We were typing at the same time. It's good to hear from you. She's a doll, just like I knew she would be. What a lucky little girl to come to such a sweet family!

I'm glad all is well. I had scary moments with both Jill and Trent, but the fear gets put into the past very quickly when you realize that all is well and you have that sweet baby in your hands. I know her little cheeks are so kissable, and look at that sweet little nose! I love babies!

How are you pronouncing her name? Is it with an a sound (long or short) at the beginning or an i sound? Is she named after someone, or did you just like the name? I know you're too tired and busy to answer a bunch of silly questions now, but I was curious. :)

Congratulations! Can't wait to see a picture of her and her big brothers!

It's with a long A sound. I had a student years ago in bible school who was named Aileen. She's one of those people who really made an impression on me, even as a 5 year old. She's one of those people got even more amazing as teenager, young adult, and adult. Plus, I really liked the name. A girly name but not over the top!

mop, you little baby is just precious! Not a bad size either, I'm glad they have everything under control and she is eating! That's always a good sign!

Shes adorable give her a big kiss for me:hug: and I hope you guys get to go home together on monday.

Memom- Im the same way with babies but to old to have another:sad1:

Yes, we already have a room booked at All-Star Music, but we don't know if Jill will be able to get off. If she does, it'll be M-T-W added to the weekend or W-Th-F added to the weekend, most likely. We have cousins who are going from Saturday to Thursday. I'll let you know as soon as the dates are finalized, which hopefully will be very soon, since we have to get our flights. We'd love to meet you, too, of course! I saw a Halloween Minnie plush toy at the Disney Store the other day, and it made me ready to go for October!

Right now, we have a room only discount, since we have annual passes. Does each member have to have a one day ticket to get the free dining? Brooklynn has to pay this time, since she'll be three, and I will be going on a shoestring budget, since I have to have enough money for our Christmas trip. I'll probably be feasting on Pop-Tarts for breakfast and PBJ's for at least one meal and just buying one meal and maybe a snack during the day. After we get our dates confirmed, Jill can check into all the best discounts and details.

The first few weeks of school are tiring, but with having taught summer school for four weeks, then doing camp, and then going to Disney World, I really haven't slowed down enough that it's going to make much difference!

When are you guys booked. Were booked 221 -27 at the dolphin. And are on a budget too. Hopefully we can plan a dis meet:grouphug:

Hey girls!!

Just wanted to let you guys know that the Vandy Girls TR is FINALLY finished!!!

Don't know if I should be happy or sad :rotfl:

But thought you might like to know :upsidedow

Jill, hurray for Bella's first tooth!!!

MeMom, those WL sunrise pictures are beautiful! I just knew you would get some great shots there on your morning walk!

Mop, congratulations on little Princess Aileen -- she is darling!

mop - what a sweet, sweet baby girl. :lovestruc Congratulations! Hope things continue to go from strength to strength.

Little girls are so precious and so much fun - when you finally get a minute check out the photos of cute baby girl things on the WDW shopping thread!(you'll recognise some of MeMom's pics on there too)

Mop- Congratulations. She is perfect!
Jill- I feel for you and bella right now. Louie's molars are coming in now. Poor babies.
Memom- how is your leg today?

Congratulations Moparop! She is so adorable! I'm so glad she is doing so well!

Awww, Bella got her First tooth! Very excitting!

MeMom to answer your question about the job, I will be compensated for it. :woohoo:
I was the sole manager of a store a few years ago, but I was relocated to a busier store to assist. I'm looking forward to something new and challenging....even though the commute is farther.
It came out of the blue, I was asked last weekend and I go next Monday.
I will be there for a week and then we go to M.B. Crazy huh?
I'm sure I will need a vacay....:rotfl:

Lexi is so excitted about the trip, she looks forward to the countdown callendar each day.
We have 14 days to go!!!! :beach:

Wow, that calendar is so great! It really feels beachy.:goodvibes

Moparop your baby is absolutely precious. So glad everything turned out well. You must have been a scared mommy in the delivery room, but she looks just perfect and content now. What a blessing.:littleangel:

Congratulations Moparop!

MeMom, I hope you get a dr's appointment really soon! You need to be able to walk by October so that we can meet up!

Congrats to Bella for cutting her first tooth Jill!

I will tell you this Fantasmic is my favorite nighttime show on property but until they change the way they are currently doing it I will not be seeing it. To say it was a horrible awful miserable mess is putting it nicely. At an hour and 15 minutes til showtime it was already standing room only. They did two shows that night. One at 9:00 and one at 10:30. We lined up for the 10:30 one at 8:45 and they didn't let us into the theater until 10:15. It was hot and there were a jillion people all crowded into the area to make sure they got a seat for the second show. If you really want to see it just planning on being there a couple of hours early and waiting with a giant mass of people.

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1: DH will NEVER go for that. Thanks for the heads up. He would kill me if I got us into that kind of mess. He is not a fan of crowds, heat, lines, waiting, etc.......... and the combination of all of them would send him over the top! Well, that is sad to hear. Fantasmic is my favorite as well and I hate to miss it. Now I am wondering if we should switch our HS day to a day that Fantasmic isn't playing. Was the park itself more crowded? We're going in Nov. so maybe it won't be too bad. I'd hate to have to switch dining stuff around. Why does this planning stuff have to be so difficult this year!?!?!?!?:confused3
