Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

Thoughts and prayers with you and your meniscus.

Take your time with your summer trip report, so we can enjoy every instalment and highlight. It is great to know when your summer trip report is finish we has your Oct. report to keep us in the Disney spirit until New Years Eve on the Poly beach.

I'm glad you finally know what the problem was, MeMom. Now you just gotta work on getting it better for your Oct. trip! :yay:

All caught up. :lmao: 19 pages and one update. I scanned most of the other posts.

I am happy they found out what it wrong and hope you get it taken care of when you get back.

I am so sad, I will miss you by 4 days. I leave either the 12th or 13th. Not sure yet I start a new job on Monday and have to see what I can take off.

So glad for the girls trip in October, that should be so fun. MNSSHP--- what a treat.

MeMom glad you went to the Dr. and have the problem figured out. Here is to hoping you can tolerate the pain and uncomfortable feeling until after WDW... and get that surgery the next day!

The pics of the girls are absolutely adorable. How exciting you get to go back in October!

Hi Katie!

Yes, we have really been looking forward to the Halloween party. Jill has been the last two Octobers, and I went year before last, but not last year. Magic Kingdom takes on a whole different atmosphere in October, so it's a great time to go!

Woo! The TR has officially started!

How exciting to be finally on the plane! The girls look adorable in their shirts.

I miss you guys tons!

We're getting all the pictures loaded this weekend, and since we're going on the October trip now, we have to be speedy on this one!

Come through Nashville any time. The hippo awaits! :)

WOO HOO on the Girls Trip!! I can't wait to hear all about it!

Thanks for dancing with us. I think the bananas will have to do all my dancing for me for a while, since I'm temporarily incapacitated.

finally caught up----
MeMom-great looking room
Jill-Uncle Trent and Bella, Brooklynn pulling her suitcase--GREAT photos:lovestruc
Wonderful news about the October trip
Poor Memom!!:hug:I hope you can rest that knee enough before the operation

Wilderness Lodge was awesome. More pictures inside and out will come eventually.

Bubby loves his girls. LOVES his girls!

It is exciting news, isn't it?

I REALLY HOPE THEY STILL HAVE THIS BAG WHEN I GO TO THE DISNEY STORE NEXT WEEKEND! I AM MISSING OUR DISNEY STORE :sad1:

BrooklynnsMommy You have the most precious kids! So adorable.

Yippee!!! I'm so thrilled that the October Girls trip is on! :yay:
I can't wait to see the girls in thier costumes.
You'll have to get on the DISigns board and create some fun tees! :thumbsup2

:grouphug: for MeMom I'm glad you saw a doc and you now have a name for it. Sorry to hear you need surgery, but if it will help you I see it as a great thing..... Somehow surgery sounds a little better if it follows a trip to Disney...

My life is too crazy lately, and I havn't had time to DIS. I wasn't here for the start of the TR. Maybe I need to wake up early so I don't miss anything.

My co workers gave me a goodbye lunch today. I was given a cake and a nice card with a Tinkerbell balloon & matching name tag (for my new job).....I was happy to see a little Disney touch was added.....they know me so well

:cheer2: Have a wonderful visit in "BAMA" :cheer2:

If they don't have the bag, I can send you one.

It will be nice to walk normally and pain-free again, especially at Disney World.

Jill will probably be making some awesome t-shirts for her little spooks!

Score on your Tinkerbell name tag. That's cool!

Hi MeMom!!! You are too funny I'm sure both men would get plenty of calls if you put them on a billboard! I totally understand the whole cautious thing! Was in a relationship for 10 years, about to get married when things went bad with my DS father! All I can say is that everything happens for a reason... Seems like I have the same issue as your boys!!! All I want is a nice guy who doesn't want to party all the time and eventually wants to settle down! Now if I could just meet that Prince Charming!!! Ugh!! Someday! Can't wait to read more the yours and Jill's report! ~Reese

I want them to be careful and completely happy, but I'm ready for that to be now. I'm becoming rather fond of having grandchildren!

:rotfl: Fair enough. As lucky as I'd be to spend any time with your family, I'm not quite ready to enter cougar town anyway.

I'm glad you went to the Dr. and that now at least you know what the problem is. Now, as for the Oct trip, don't go being a hero. I've read a couple of TRs lately where people have rocked the ECV. They look like fun! So be sure to take care of yourself, MeMom!

You can BOLO for them some sweet girls! :)

If I have to do ECV, I will, but I think we're going to be doing things in short spurts, so I think I'll be okay. We may get one if we're going to be out a long time and just see how that works. It would be nice for holding kids and packages sometimes, along with allowing us to pick up the pace a little when needed. We'll just have to see what happens.

I love love that Halloween bag!! I really really want to get one!!!!

I'm glad you were able to find out from the doctors what is going on with your leg!!! I wish you ease of days and hopefully soon relief from the pain when you can get it fixed!

I like all the cheap, fun bags TDS has been putting out this year.

I will be very happy to walk pain-free again. Very, very happy!

Memom...my brother just had his done..he was only off maybe a week or so. HE damaged his meniscus (I don;t spell it right either!!) when he was in high school and apparently they just did a band aid fix to get him through sports and he was still growing. Well just this past year he tore it again playing tag football with my nephew. So he had to completely had to have it removed. Apparently he and my dad knew in high school it was a band aid fix but my mom was sure surprised!!

That's good to hear. I don't want to use up a lot of sick days.

Thanks for your sweet words about me to my mom

Sorry you have to have surgery, but I'm glad that you went to the doctor and got an answer.

I'm so excited that you get to do a girls-only trip in October  I'd be down there at that time in a heartbeat if I could!

I've never met you, but I have come to know you through the DIS, and I do believe you are a great girl. We have so many nice, nice people around here, and we hope to meet many of you eventually. Our Disney trips have got to overlap at some time in the future, I would think, at least for one day.

I know; I say that I'd be there in a heartbeat if given the opportunity at any time of the year!

Jill and MeMom, hurray for the October trip!!! That's awesome news!!! So, MeMom, if my math is correct, that will give you four trips in 2009 -- not too bad! ;)

Glad the first day went pretty well and I am really glad you went to the doctor about your knee.

I think 4 trips is a good number. It spreads it out far enough to always have something to look forward to, but it's not too much to make it become too common and lose the excitement.

MeMom-your board looks awesome!!!!!!!! You always come up with the best ideas!

Love the pictures arriving at the airport and on the plane. Brooklyn and Bella are so adorable in their matching shirts!!:goodvibes

MeMom, I hope you are feeling better soon!! Have fun with your sweet girls tomorrow!

They were so sweet in their matching shirts, and it was nice that they were in such good moods even though it was very early.

I am going to stop Dising here in a minute so I can get ready to leave, and I know I will have fun!

Yay for an October girls trip, you are going to have so much fun! MeMom, I'm glad you got to the doctor and found out there was a real name for that ailing knee and you can get it fixed a get back to business!

I'm happy you have your first day with 2nd graders under your belt!

I'm glad I went, too, mostly because I didn't want anyone to think I was just being a whiny-baby about the pain. I don't like to hear people whine about the least little thing, and I felt bad slowing everyone down in WDW with them maybe thinking I was just being a baby over nothing. It makes me feel better that it really was something substantial. Does that make sense???

The second graders seem a lot smaller and younger, but I will get used to it, and I know I will be happy for having no TCAP!

Thoughts and prayers with you and your meniscus.

Take your time with your summer trip report, so we can enjoy every instalment and highlight. It is great to know when your summer trip report is finish we has your Oct. report to keep us in the Disney spirit until New Years Eve on the Poly beach.

Thanks. I think the pills and shots will provide what I need until it is fixed.

I like to finish one report before I leave for another, but with ten days this summer, who knows? It might run over a little, and then the October trip could be shorter and done throughout later in November. We'll see what we can do.

I'm glad you finally know what the problem was, MeMom. Now you just gotta work on getting it better for your Oct. trip! :yay:

At least the pain can be helped, but that could be a bad thing in a way, because I might do too much and cause more damage. At this point, it probably is too far gone to matter, though.

We're going to do better now, Scott, and Jill will work on doing the thing on the first page where you can click right to the update.

Congratulations on your new job!

I am so sorry we will miss seeing you!

So glad for the girls trip in October, that should be so fun. MNSSHP--- what a treat.

MeMom glad you went to the Dr. and have the problem figured out. Here is to hoping you can tolerate the pain and uncomfortable feeling until after WDW... and get that surgery the next day!

We do love our girls' trips. They are more relaxed because we don't feel like we have to cater to the guys and their moodiness.

I'll probably set up that surgery next week.

Yay!!!! Were arriving the day you leave:sad1:

We probably won't be leaving until the evening. Maybe we can work something out, depending on what time you are arriving. We'll talk.

***********************************

Okay, that's it for this morning. I've got to get ready and get on the road to see some of my favorite people. I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday planned with your favorite people, too!

It's official - the girls' only trip in October is on!!!!!

We will be arriving on Saturday, October 17th and leaving on Wednesday, October 21st. We are going to the Halloween party Tuesday night.

How much fun is THIS!!!! Exciting guys...I wouldn't be happy for you if I were not going in December ;)

MeMom - I hope your leg gets better with the meds and that you can have the surgery soon (as soon as your schedule will allow)

I will be back to read the beginning of the trip.....I am headed to the lake today with my WHOLE :yay: family!!! Gonna be doing fun things!! :upsidedow

Yay! That is exciting!

Soooo, I went to a doctor today, and the verdict is, along with the swelling that comes from the missing lymphnodes, which I've come to just know is going to happen, I have a torn meniscus. I probably spelled that wrong, so any medical student can feel free to correct me. She asked when I could have surgery, and I said no time soon, because we just started school. I also said I had a commitment for my fall break, but I didn't say what that was exactly. What I might do, since we are coming back on Wednesday, is schedule it for Thursday morning, if possible. That would give me Friday and the weekend to get over the surgery, and then if I had to miss a few days, I'd just have to deal with it. I plan to be back hobbling around on crutches if necessary as quickly as possible.

Anyway, it made me feel better to know what it was and to know that I wasn't just being a sissy and crying 'pain' when there really wasn't any. The pain is real, and it has a name. I hope the shots and meds will do me until we can take the October trip. We know we'll be going slow and in spurts, and it's not for ten days, so I should be fine.

I plan to spend the evening with my leg propped up in bed tonight. I hope your plans are more exciting than mine!

Take it easy on that knee. Hope the shots and meds are able to ease your pain some.

The girls were so cute on the plane! Brooklynn looks so grown up with her backpack! She's a seasoned traveler!

Great start! The picture of Trent and Bella is SO sweet! He's such a natural with little ones. I also love the picture of Brooklynn with her suitcase. She looks so proud! And of course both girls look adorable in their matching t-shirts!

Glad you were able to get a diagnosis for your leg, MeMom. I'm sure it's a big relief to know what it is and what you have to do to get it fixed. Hopefully, it won't give you too much trouble in the meantime.

Congrats on your October trip!

memom-We probably won't be leaving until the evening. Maybe we can work something out, depending on what time you are arriving. We'll talk.

We won't be arriving to the resort untill around 3 30 and at 5 00 we are meeting up with our friends from orlando at shulas or yachtsman. Or le cellier or bergarden if we can get ADRS. While the kids are going to Epcot with their kids 16, 13, and 11. Maybe we can meet up for Illuminations if your staying that late. Or maybe at the beach club beach at 4 or something.

We'll make it a point to run into you. Give us your loose schedule and we'll see if we can't overlap for a few minutes, maybe as you are going into Magic Kingdom for the party like we did with Katie and Ryan. I forgot to take a picture of them, though, and I want to remember to do better with other Disers, as long as it's okay with them.

For now:
October 15- Arrival day- we probably won't get there until 9:00pm
October16- EPCOT and DHS- we have a ADR for SCI-FI at 2:50pm
October 17- AK and MK
October 18- Cape May Cafe for Breakfast at 9:10, DTD and at 4:00 over to MNSSHP
October 19- O'hana's for breakfast at 9:50, then home:sad1:

Jill is super-excited about the October trip!

I already feel some relief in the knee.:thumbsup2

Congrats on your October trip!

Yeah, Trent loves to kiss on his nieces, and he likes to aggravate them too. Brooklynn has come to expect it, and Bella will when she is old enough to realize what he's doing!

She had her little portable DVD player and plenty of Disney movies packed away in her suitcase. She took good care of it.

It's probably not going to work, then, since we'll be on Magical Express going back to the airport when you are arriving.

We were thinking of Captain Cook's breakfast (Tonga Toast) one morning, so we might make that for the day you do 'Ohana and we could run by and meet you before you go into your ADR. Maybe out at the bathroom hall where it would be easier to find you than in a crowd out in the lobby area? We'll talk more as time goes on.

****************************

Brooklynn went to bed as a two year old, but she'll waking up as a big girl three year old! We went to Red Robin to eat dinner, and she opened three presents. She's having 5 birthday celebrations this year - although they are mini-celebrations for the most part. She had cupcakes with church friends and cupcakes with school friends, dinner out tonight with gifts, her Nemo party on Saturday, and then a party in KY with John's family when they go up there for Labor Day. Didn't know 3 was such a big year! :)

I am told...I am PROMISED..that Jill and/or John are going to put the pictures on photobucket 250-500 at a time so that we can continue the report. John says I don't have enough room for the 5100 pictures on my laptop, so they're just going to put them on photobucket a set or two at a time so I can access them from home. So, from here on out, I'm putting the blame for any delays on them. ;)

A couple of hours early, but I wanted to have it here for in the morning:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BROOKLYNN!!! :bday:
I love you so, so, so much!
