Congratulations! Sounds perfect!! You'll have such a great time! :yay: Selfishly, I can't wait to hear all about it! popcorn::

Could they be any cuter-I think not.
CONGRATS on the girl's only trip-how I wish I could come with my girls...It does include little girls right?
Hope the first day went well MeMom. We met our teacher yesterday. No Disney but a cute "under the sea" therme.

Woo! The TR has officially started! :woohoo:

How exciting to be finally on the plane! :yay: The girls look adorable in their shirts.

I miss you guys tons!

Hurray, the trip report has officially started!!! Everyone looks so excited to be headed to Disney!!!

Good luck today, MeMom! Hope your new students are wonderful and well-behaved.

For the most part, all went well today. Second grade is a little heavy and third is a little light, so they move another teacher down. That would be nice!

:rotfl2: No not crazy, but perhaps a kindred spirit! :goodvibes
Can you imagine a classroom near Brown Derby?

The TR has begun!!!!

The pic of Trent with Bella is ridiculously adorable. Single ladies are going to be loving that one! Really, he's a natural Daddy, isn't he?

The pics of the girls on the plane are fantastic!!! I love Bella's big 'ol toothless grin, and the one of them popping over the seats made me think, "I hope that was a fun plane ride, and not a squirmy one!" Flying with little ones can be such an adventure!!!

MeMom, I wish you the best today with your students arriving!

Cobb Salad for lunch daily, and Grapefruit Cake on Fridays!

Trent has been around kids all his life, since I've taught, done summer camps, babysat, and all. Little kids love him because he will play with them. He loves Brooklynn and Bella dearly and is great with them. He'll make the right girl a great husband. I hope he finds the right girl soon.

He doesn't bring many of them around, because he says he's afraid when he introduces them I'll ask, "Are you going to be the mother of my future grandchildren?" :rotfl:

I wouldn't ask that, really, but I would be thinking it!

The plane ride was fine. They weren't squirmy at all. It's so nice to be in Florida in less than two hours, too!

I love all the disney touches in your classroom MeMom!! Too cute! Ithink your students will reeally enjoy it!

Yippeee for the airport pictures!! The girls are too cute and they look so happy!!!

They did enjoy all the Disney.

They were in good moods for it to be so early.

Hurrah, the trip has started! At the airport at 5 - that is one early morning. :scared: Brooklyn looks so cute in her car seat getting ready to go- and adorable with her big girl suitcase.

Love the matching shirts.

As for the photo with Trent & Bella and MeMom being ready for more grandbabies.... all I have to say is it's a shame I live so far away and that I'm probably old enough to be his mother.

Yeah, I would prefer a daughter-in-law that's about half my age!

The pics of the girls at the airport are just precious! They are beautiful!!:goodvibes

Thanks for saying that. We sure think so!

Hope today is great MeMom with your second graders!

Was Brooklynn like Bella with such little hair---she has so much now, I just wondered?

Any girl would be lucky to find gems like your boys.

Enjoy your weekend with the girls.

It was a pretty good day.

Trent just needs a 'normal' girl. Drew is going to need a 'mothering-type'!
Jarvis has become an adopted son, since his mom is all the way up in Michigan. He hangs out here a lot, and we love having him. He can have a 'normal' girl, too. :)

I'm sticking with the mother-type on Drew. Either that or a drill sergeant! ;)

I will thoroughly enjoy my weekend. I'm going down there first thing in the morning.

Yippee! The trip report has begun. I love all the pictures, especially Bella looking over the seat. I can't wait to hear how excited Brooklynn was to show her little sister her Disney World.

Brooklynn watched Bella's reactions a lot. I loved watching Brooklynn watch Bella!

Cute pic!

:goodvibes

Yay!! The fun has begun!!

I can't believe how big Bella is getting!! She is such a cutie.

Brooklynn looks so proud with her own little suitcase.

Finally, huh?

I wish you could see Bella's expressions in person. She really tries to figure things out.

She was proud of her rolling suitcase.

Great start to the report. The girls look so precious.

Also - love the classroom! I go in about an hour to meet Abby's teachers and see her classroom. I know it will be nowhere nearly as neat as yours. If only everyone loved Disney the world would be such a happier place:goodvibes.

I hope Abby got a superb teacher. You are in a good system over there.

I love that picture of Trent with Bella. He seems like such a sweet, awesome uncle. Be proud MeMom!

I am very proud of him. He is an awesome guy in many ways.

I just received Disney mail for our Sept. trip.

Great! That means it's almost here!

I can almost feel little Brooklyn's excitement! What a sweet smile. Love the one of both girls with their matching tees. Uncle Trent looks like he's very comfortable with his baby niece.

She was very excited to go. This time she was old enough to realize what was happening and really be able to anticipate it.

It's official - the girls' only trip in October is on!!!!!

We will be arriving on Saturday, October 17th and leaving on Wednesday, October 21st. We are going to the Halloween party Tuesday night.

Are you excited? Cuz you're kinda screaming.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We will be there October 15-19th. We are going to the party on Sunday the 18th. Hopefully we will run into each other.

We'll make it a point to run into you. Give us your loose schedule and we'll see if we can't overlap for a few minutes, maybe as you are going into Magic Kingdom for the party like we did with Katie and Ryan. I forgot to take a picture of them, though, and I want to remember to do better with other Disers, as long as it's okay with them.

Another trip report.:surfweb:

I hope your first day with kids went well.

Does that mean we have to finish this one before we go, because that could be impossible!

It went pretty well, but we were all glad it was just a half day!

How was your first day meeting your students Memom?

Incoming second graders are much smaller than outgoing third graders. It will take me a week or so to feel out what they are capable of doing. Third grade is a big leap curriculum-wise, so the second grade work seems so, so simple.

Congratulations! Sounds perfect!! You'll have such a great time! Selfishly, I can't wait to hear all about it!

Selfishly, I wanted this trip to spend time with the girls by myself. I think we will have a wonderful time!

Could they be any cuter-I think not.

Yes - big girls and little girls. :cutie:

I hope you guys have a great school year!

***********************************

Soooo, I went to a doctor today, and the verdict is, along with the swelling that comes from the missing lymphnodes, which I've come to just know is going to happen, I have a torn meniscus. I probably spelled that wrong, so any medical student can feel free to correct me. She asked when I could have surgery, and I said no time soon, because we just started school. I also said I had a commitment for my fall break, but I didn't say what that was exactly. What I might do, since we are coming back on Wednesday, is schedule it for Thursday morning, if possible. That would give me Friday and the weekend to get over the surgery, and then if I had to miss a few days, I'd just have to deal with it. I plan to be back hobbling around on crutches if necessary as quickly as possible.

Anyway, it made me feel better to know what it was and to know that I wasn't just being a sissy and crying 'pain' when there really wasn't any. The pain is real, and it has a name. I hope the shots and meds will do me until we can take the October trip. We know we'll be going slow and in spurts, and it's not for ten days, so I should be fine.

I plan to spend the evening with my leg propped up in bed tonight. I hope your plans are more exciting than mine!

finally caught up----
MeMom-great looking room:cool1:
Jill-Uncle Trent and Bella, Brooklynn pulling her suitcase--GREAT photos:lovestruc
Wonderful news about the October trip:yay::yay:
Poor Memom!!:hug:I hope you can rest that knee enough before the operation:grouphug:

A new bag that they had at the Disney Store. They were $2.50. I got one for me and one for Jill, of course.

classroom08-09012.jpg

I REALLY HOPE THEY STILL HAVE THIS BAG WHEN I GO TO THE DISNEY STORE NEXT WEEKEND! I AM MISSING OUR DISNEY STORE :sad1:

BrooklynnsMommy You have the most precious kids! So adorable.

Yippee!!! I'm so thrilled that the October Girls trip is on! :yay:
I can't wait to see the girls in thier costumes.
You'll have to get on the DISigns board and create some fun tees! :thumbsup2

:grouphug: for MeMom I'm glad you saw a doc and you now have a name for it. Sorry to hear you need surgery, but if it will help you I see it as a great thing.....:grouphug: Somehow surgery sounds a little better if it follows a trip to Disney....;)

My life is too crazy lately, and I havn't had time to DIS. I wasn't here for the start of the TR. Maybe I need to wake up early so I don't miss anything.

My co workers gave me a goodbye lunch today. I was given a cake and a nice card with a Tinkerbell balloon & matching name tag (for my new job).....I was happy to see a little Disney touch was added.....they know me so well

:cheer2: Have a wonderful visit in "BAMA" :cheer2:

Quote: Glad to have you along!

I told Trent I'm going to put a picture of him and of Jarvis on a highway billboard and advertise them. They are both such nice guys, but they are very particular about what they want in a girl. They've both been in good relationships that went bad, so they are cautious. Also, a big thing with both of them is that most girls seem to think a good time these days involves a bunch of drinking, and neither of them are into that at all. They are both looking for 'the marrying kind', and I'm ready for more grandchildren, so I'm ready for both of them to find the right sweet girls and get started on that!

Hi MeMom!!! You are too funny :rotfl2: I'm sure both men would get plenty of calls if you put them on a billboard! I totally understand the whole cautious thing! Was in a relationship for 10 years, about to get married when things went bad with my DS father! All I can say is that everything happens for a reason... Seems like I have the same issue as your boys!!! All I want is a nice guy who doesn't want to party all the time and eventually wants to settle down! Now if I could just meet that Prince Charming!!! Ugh!! Someday! Can't wait to read more the yours and Jill's report! ~Reese

Yeah, I would prefer a daughter-in-law that's about half my age!

:rotfl: Fair enough. As lucky as I'd be to spend any time with your family, I'm not quite ready to enter cougar town anyway. ;)

I'm glad you went to the Dr. and that now at least you know what the problem is. Now, as for the Oct trip, don't go being a hero. I've read a couple of TRs lately where people have rocked the ECV. They look like fun! So be sure to take care of yourself, MeMom! :goodvibes

I love love that Halloween bag!! I really really want to get one!!!!

I'm glad you were able to find out from the doctors what is going on with your leg!!! I wish you ease of days and hopefully soon relief from the pain when you can get it fixed!

Memom...my brother just had his done..he was only off maybe a week or so. HE damaged his meniscus (I don;t spell it right either!!) when he was in high school and apparently they just did a band aid fix to get him through sports and he was still growing. Well just this past year he tore it again playing tag football with my nephew. So he had to completely had to have it removed. Apparently he and my dad knew in high school it was a band aid fix but my mom was sure surprised!!

Thanks for your sweet words about me to my mom

Sorry you have to have surgery, but I'm glad that you went to the doctor and got an answer.

I'm so excited that you get to do a girls-only trip in October  I'd be down there at that time in a heartbeat if I could!

Jill and MeMom, hurray for the October trip!!! That's awesome news!!! So, MeMom, if my math is correct, that will give you four trips in 2009 -- not too bad! ;)

Glad the first day went pretty well and I am really glad you went to the doctor about your knee. :thumbsup2

MeMom-your board looks awesome!!!!!!!! You always come up with the best ideas!

Love the pictures arriving at the airport and on the plane. Brooklyn and Bella are so adorable in their matching shirts!!:goodvibes

MeMom, I hope you are feeling better soon!! Have fun with your sweet girls tomorrow!

Yay for an October girls trip, you are going to have so much fun! MeMom, I'm glad you got to the doctor and found out there was a real name for that ailing knee and you can get it fixed a get back to business!

I'm happy you have your first day with 2nd graders under your belt!
